Man City has been very very good, but they have not been imperious in the last two seasons like they were in earlier seasons. Real dealt with the absent of Vini, Courtois, Carvajal, Camavinga, Militao, Tchouameni, Rodrygo, Valverde! Imagine not mentioning the absent of these and keep mentioning only Rodri🤣🤣🤣 hilarious
I don't get, really. Was Rodri going to play football forever? I've said this multiple times, never build a team around one player, because injury is inevitable in this game. Now everybody is talking about absence being the issue City is failing
I don't recall Stevie giving Chelsea an excuse because of injuries last two seasons, because they have much much worse lyck with injuries during those times.
As a Chelsea fan , I have zero pity for Pep, having 3 or 4 players out is no excuse I remember a point Chelsea had 11 or more players out . If the all mighty Pep can’t find a way then he is average as far as am concerned. He should play with the players he has not try to play his way
City are just paying price for poor transfers over the last two years. They have let very good players leave who gave them depth and brought in much lower quality players to replace them. Now some of their stars are injured or declining they are having to rely on these bad signings and they are just not good enough. They need a more athletic midfield, that is what is causing them all their problems. If I was Man City I would get Pogba, Zumamendi and Warburton in the January transfer window to bring back athleticism to City midfield.
Has a 100M fee Jack Grealish on the bench, to come on in the second half. Sent Kalvin Phillips out on loan. Guardiola does not lack for players that the other 19 managers in the EPL would not be eager to play. He is just stubborn.
Kalvin Phillips couldn't adjust to mancity playing style. We all saw what happened at West ham. He may have lost some mojo during Mancity stint. Jack Grealish has been injured quite a lot this season. I agree pep may have to use him quite differently
Kalvin Phillips literally came back overweight, refused to do anything about it and Pep called him out on it. And Kalvin then threw his toys out the pram. If he'd actually taken his time at City seriouly, then he'd still be in the team.
Pep biggest problem is his ego. The club bought philips instead of training him he mentally destroyed the dude career now Rodri injured and kovacic isn't direct replacement and pep have fallout with Mcatee & kdb smh. And y does pep play gundoan when he offers nothing. Bottom line Mancity needs a team rebuild.

Every side goes through a difficult patch at some time during a season. Often it is brought about by injuries particularly to key players. Arsenal have had theirs (injury related) and look to be back to their best. City are in the midst of theirs (injury related) and will come through it. Liverpool are going strong and surprise surprise have so far managed to avoid injuries to key players. I have no doubt Liverpool will also go through a difficult patch when injuries strike. The problem for City is they cannot afford to let the gap to Liverpool get any wider or the deficit will be too much to overcome. It may already be too much.
Liverpool had nearly 9 of their starting 11 injured last season. If you don't remember look back at the Chelsea Carabao Cup game. Liverpool also have injuries now, Trent was injured, Konate, Chiesa, Jota, Connor Bradley, Tsimikas, Elliot, their #1 GK Allision, even Curtis Jones was injured first 5 games of the season.
bunch of idiots typing 115 bla bla pep fraud , you guys very hurt a lot that you can’t hide your emotions. Pep really punished the clubs you support for the past seasons, it look like you finally have relief after city loosing games. We can understand your pains.
Pep should ask Foden to do a job in the middle and tackle like a madman. Hes got the legs to make their midfield strong and its not happening for hiim in front of goal at the moment. Take a leaf from Slot and what he did with Gravenberch.
Madrid has more injured players than Man City... And they are actually starters! But ya'll never gave us any passes. Steve praised Liverpool a week ago but Madrid lost tchouameni, Camavinga, Rodrygo, Vini, Carvajal, Alaba all who would be starting if fit unlike city. Only Rodri would play.

Steve is right. All of the sudden when u fail after so many wins they come at you with every hate and give advice and talking about “u have to be better”. It’s easy to hate when you are the best

Pep does improve players so to all you jokers making stupid comments about pep has always been handed the best players that's why he is so successful you don't know what you're talking about...PSG had Messi , Neymar and Mbape but are yet to won a Champions league 😉
In my opinion it’s all about staying humble (no pun intended) and recognising you haven’t quite got the players to play your way. Don’t be too proud to have two banks of four, or three at the back and play counter football. Don’t be too proud to concede possession and play on the counter. They certainly have the players to hurt any team. Do ANYTHING to get results at the moment. Get some results and get some confidence back. There’s nothing wrong with winning and not being dominant. You can still win with the quality you have whilst also being solid as a defensive unit. It almost seems like Pep is too proud to just accept that your team can’t quite carry out what you want and you need to change. And it’s not just Rodri - City were scraping results before he got injured. They had some close calls and lucky escapes. They could, and probably should have, dropped way more points even when Rodri was available. The squad needs a rebuild.
It all fell started when Alvarez left… IDC what anyone says…Haaland is a one trick Pony, Alvarez deserved to get more of a chance than these clowns City got up front.
@ u must have started watching football a few weeks ago if you think contributions only come from goals. Again, look at man city’s midfield with gundon and Silva… they’re slow and old. Young players are running circles around them. Alvarez provided effort, fresh legs. Also, in pep’s system his goals and assists were great for a substitute player.
Naah! It's not stubbornness. Changing tactical setup isn't what you switch on and off. The key issue is personnel: the players. Pep's options are limited.
Steve was quite off on his defense of Pep and Man City. ESPN fc, why haven’t we had Jan Aage Fiotoff yet on the show, 2 days after Liverpool- City? Cmon
Pep without elite club and elite players is just good manager. Media call him great but didn’t check spending, club status , players he acquire. If any good manager have barca , bayern and city with all resources and time good manager will deliver same or some may deliver more
The squad needs refreshing with youth and athleticism, but unfortunately they've been letting go of their younger players. Personally, I point the finger at poor squad management and recruitment more than Pep's coaching at the moment. It's not like the older players aged overnight.
Ange and Spurs deserve huge credit. They were the one who started it. I guess it's a confidence thing. As good as City was, 95% of the teams were always trying to defend with 9 or 10 players behind the ball. City could pass around leisurely. Now these teams are coming at them, rushing them.. And now their plan A is not working, they haven't figured out plan B yet.
I can't buy this idea many people are promoting that it's not Pep's fault. The guy is playing Nunes at LW, a position he never played in his life. And that's just one example. He's never once tried to remove Haaland, and see how the team would fare, for example. He's just not trying different things at all. In that respect, yes, he is being extremely stubborn.
The prem is all about muscles in the midfield and pace upfront. Pep’s always liked smaller skilled ball players over everything and him saying we don’t have the legs is kinda obvious. Who’s signing these smaller players? You are.
Why is Pep getting a pass because of injuries when last season tottenham, newcastle, man u , spurs and brighton all suffered injuries that derailed their season even Liverpool didn’t have salah for a long period and none of them got sympathy . We all know man city have the deepest squad in the league their only problem is their system over relies on Rodri that when he’s out everything crumbles it’s exactly like arsenal ordegard situation
@@TM-bk3rl i don’t know what your point is man ,, the conversation here is whether to give injury sympathy to a manager with the best team and squad depth in the league when in fact it’s mostly 1 crucial player (Rodri) that affects the system when he’s out he’s basically the glue for defence & midfield and the deep playmaker. The other teams I mentioned had more than 1 crucial players out and their managers got criticised heavily for bad results so pep should also get same treatment regardless of how many titles he won you can’t complain about injuries when you have the best squad.

Whaaat??? Defending Pep because he has not enough players 😂😂😂 he has the biggest and best squad always and always 2 players in every position! Real dealt with the absent of Vini, Courtois, Carvajal, Camavinga, Militao, Tchouameni, Rodrygo, Valverde! Imagine not mentioning the absent of these and keep mentioning only Rodri🤣🤣🤣 hilarious
Stevie has to be the contrarian 😂
Pep is still the best manager in the world
Gundogan and David Silva😭 bro that's Bernado
These dummies get paid to make content and they can’t even get players names right
I don't get, really.
He's playing Gundogan and Sliva in the middle, it will never work.
As a Chelsea fan , I have zero pity for Pep, having 3 or 4 players out is no excuse I remember a point Chelsea had 11 or more players out . If the all mighty Pep can’t find a way then he is average as far as am concerned. He should play with the players he has not try to play his way
Pep is not asking for pity. City is not getting relegated. Even after 6 straight defeats, he is still 5th or 6th
Both are just poor transfers, they have had a few poor transfers the past few years.
Kalvin Phillips literally came back overweight, refused to do anything about it and Pep called him out on it. And Kalvin then threw his toys out the pram. If he'd actually taken his time at City seriouly, then he'd still be in the team.
Man City's net spent last 3 season combined is just 140M Pounds. Manchester United in the same period has spend 500M, Arsenal - 400M.
He would be bottom of the league if he had similar injury situation like the one Real Madrid is currently facing.
Ancelotti has flexibility and adaptability
Pep would get relegated every year if he managed team like tottenham
Hehe u have a big mouth kid@@johannespitkamaki1369
Pep biggest problem is his ego. The club bought philips instead of training him he mentally destroyed the dude career now Rodri injured and kovacic isn't direct replacement and pep have fallout with Mcatee & kdb smh. And y does pep play gundoan when he offers nothing. Bottom line Mancity needs a team rebuild.
Bottom line you talk too much. Keyboard coach
@raselpathan3677 😶 who r u doh my deciple 👀 get a life closet nerd 🤣🤣
Do not upset the delicate genius. Poor Pep is trying to do good with a limited budget.
LOL he’s only the highest spending manager of all time
@@BigBoss7777777 that fraud Mourinho spent more
@@lokiodinson6018 nope. Look it up, Pep is the highest spending manager of all time. If anyones a fraud it’s him. Watch him spend another billion to win the league again. He can’t win without spending record amounts.
How can a man without versatility be the best 😂
@@Yoyo-sy5kl just named a bunch of garbage players. Chiesa… Jones. Smh pathetic
bunch of idiots typing 115 bla bla pep fraud , you guys very hurt a lot that you can’t hide your emotions. Pep really punished the clubs you support for the past seasons, it look like you finally have relief after city loosing games. We can understand your pains.
Spot on.
I think man city should get Pogba in January for a short term fix and then get a very good young defensive midfielder in the summer.
Pep will never be in the same conversation as Sir Alex...
thanks for the time stamps that way i can skip perfectly all of "Shaka Hislop's take"
These pundits man , is clueless .. complaining abt PeP lol
Tht why Ferguson is the best
Their 3 best players are non existent…rodri out, de bruyne injuries, foden lost
Pep should ask Foden to do a job in the middle and tackle like a madman. Hes got the legs to make their midfield strong and its not happening for hiim in front of goal at the moment. Take a leaf from Slot and what he did with Gravenberch.
Foden doesn’t know how to tackle tho 😂
@mr.francois5538 thats what they said about Gravenberch. That position primarily needs a strong runner.
Foden is built like a child, he’s too light weight for that
Pep coaching approach is still the best but he just caught out and the team is indeed weak in all areas
December 2nd, everyone chill! One game at a time. 😎
They don’t have anymore injuries than any other team. Stop giving them passes.
No, pep is not the best manager in the game right now. Why do people keep saying that? It's so incredibly stupid and just plain wrong.
You just did 😂...the main critique is he's never made an average team good..always handed the all-stars at top of their league
@neilcoles1780 i didn't say his the best? What you said is what my comment is all about. His always been at clubs that can get the biggest stars. Send him to Tottenham and then see what he can do.
This topic is like a fountain in the desert for all pundits😮
Steve is right. All of the sudden when u fail after so many wins they come at you with every hate and give advice and talking about “u have to be better”. It’s easy to hate when you are the best
The way Stevie just ignored how Carlo won the double last year with injuries as well at @10:00
Pep is a great manager, but he's always always had the best squad in every league. The all time greats have mostly made lower teams over perform...now we are seeing if pep can do that...I have my doubts
Nedum nowhere to be seen when city’s mudded
Thank-you Liverpool for showing Pep how football is played
Liverpool displayed real football. "90s and 2000s era is back. Let's go
Dan needs 2 remember he's talking 2 players who played the game, whilst he hasn't
Stevie is protecting Pep so much.
Shoutout to David Silva in the midfield! Anyone else catch that?
Pep does improve players so to all you jokers making stupid comments about pep has always been handed the best players that's why he is so successful you don't know what you're talking about...PSG had Messi , Neymar and Mbape but are yet to won a Champions league 😉
Well put Mario.Arne had solutions to Pep's tactics
To be clear he’s the best coach in history
It all fell started when Alvarez left…
IDC what anyone says…Haaland is a one trick Pony, Alvarez deserved to get more of a chance than these clowns City got up front.
They miss Alvarez tenacity, specially in that midfield which he played a lot of when KDB was out
Alvarez with his 2 La Liga goals and 7 in all competitions. 4 of which game against a 4th division side. Pathetic
@ Haaland was out for 3 months last season and Alvarez scored a mighty 3 goals in those 3 months. Stop spouting garbage
Amazing how these pundits know the exact problems with the Man City squad & Pep. Problems none of these pundits knew about 6 weeks ago.
Dan spot on here
Cmon
Everyone needs to relax. City are on a bad run and met the most in form team currently. What did you really expect?
When managers start talking about past accomplishments it's not a good sign
Pep without elite club and elite players is just good manager. Media call him great but didn’t check spending, club status , players he acquire. If any good manager have barca , bayern and city with all resources and time good manager will deliver same or some may deliver more
Come on ESPN, I am not a Man City fan but I still think Pep deserves some respect. These ESPN pundits man, unbelievable 😅😅
He’s done it with money. No big players at the moment, he should address the situation now.
Remember Klop doing the same thing ..
@@danielalonso2008has Chelsea done it like he did or u just pathetic hater
3:20 David Silva is back guys😂
The problem with Pep is...he didn't stay Homble
The squad needs refreshing with youth and athleticism, but unfortunately they've been letting go of their younger players. Personally, I point the finger at poor squad management and recruitment more than Pep's coaching at the moment. It's not like the older players aged overnight.
Sorry but injuries are a BS excuse when he doesn't choose to use the youth in the club like everyone else would
Too funny how these guys are acting like they know better than Guardiola.
Remember Klop doing the same thing ..
I remember Klopp was stubborn as well 😅
I can't buy this idea many people are promoting that it's not Pep's fault. The guy is playing Nunes at LW, a position he never played in his life. And that's just one example. He's never once tried to remove Haaland, and see how the team would fare, for example. He's just not trying different things at all. In that respect, yes, he is being extremely stubborn.
Steve is quick to defend Pep but always quick to kill others
Steve Nicol is in no position to call out training of anyone in the Premiership...What has he achieved as a manager?
Steve Nicols 😂telling Pep what he is and what he needs to do takes the cake.
For me I believe the dressing room is not in harmony at the moment.
So where is Calvin Phillips?😂😂
The prem is all about muscles in the midfield and pace upfront. Pep’s always liked smaller skilled ball players over everything and him saying we don’t have the legs is kinda obvious. Who’s signing these smaller players? You are.
City should bring back the years when they were fun to watch. Bring back Pellagrini.
Only player in the starting lineup for City who's scored a league goal is Haaland
How many times has City won the league in the last 10years? How how many have Spurs United Newcastle Liverpool won ?
@@TM-bk3rl i don’t know what your point is man ,, the conversation here is whether to give injury sympathy to a manager with the best team and squad depth in the league when in fact it’s mostly 1 crucial player (Rodri) that affects the system when he’s out he’s basically the glue for defence & midfield and the deep playmaker. The other teams I mentioned had more than 1 crucial players out and their managers got criticised heavily for bad results so pep should also get same treatment regardless of how many titles he won you can’t complain about injuries when you have the best squad.
Calling pep stubborn is like calling Fergie "fiery" I mean, obviously! I could think of worse adjectives 💭
5-year olds are more mature than Nicol.
Pep is having a generational head loss
That’s drake
12 league titles in 16 seasons.
Name another manager who managed Bayern, Barça or City with that record.
@ I’m a Man U fan and what pep has done and these guys just gotta do they job they gotta criticize true champions know we relish this feeling
