The object placing feels like Geometry Dash as in the textures match together quite simply, especially with simpler themes and details and only certain blocks match each other but Geometry Dash has way less corner blocks for optimization purposes. Also, hopefully the long '?' block is added soon (the one that can give up to 3 items).
Heya! I'm sorry I didn't go into more detail in the video. If you would, take a look at the menu that pops up for the goomba when I select it at this minute here: 18:02 As you can see here, when selecting the enemy, a menu pops up- I drag it around the screen a little, the window is called "Item Properties" You'll notice in this menu a button that is called "Generator." check that box, and when you place the enemy, instead of placing an individual instance, it will place a "generator" tile. This tile will generate the selected item/enemy/powerup at specific intervals which you can control, and will appear in the direction selected, similar to how you setup the entering/exiting of pipes. (Covered in the Warps & Doors section at 24:52) When the Generator checkbox is selected, it will allow you to select from a few more options including the interval that the enemy/item/powerup will spawn, and if/if not the item will be fired like it's being fired out of a cannon. Change these settings as desired and then place the generator tile, and you should be all set!
How do you make a warp level, to use in a world map on an episode, also I would like to offer a constructive criticism about the video, I think it would help if you added timestamps for when you started talking about each different part of using the editor
If i remember correctly, you place the Question Mark Block into the level, and click on the block, and in the properties menu there is a box called "Item" or "Container" something like that, and you can then select and item that is inside the block. Hope this helps!
How do you get SMW Mario? My Mario is styled like I believe Mario 3 All-Stars, and I don't see a way to change it to SMW style Mario. Also do you know of a way to make a solid block pass-through? Like for secrets that let you go into walls. I tried putting it on another layer but it still blocked Mario's movement.
Sorry I'm late to respond! I never got notifications for these comments! I believe I followed a tutorial in which you go into the SMBX2 folder and find the sprites folder, and you'll see a couple different sprite-sheets of mario, including the SMW mario. I believe the SMB3 mario is named as like the main "mario" sprite and you essentially swap the names of the SMW and SMB3 Mario sprite sheets. This way, the program calls out for the "mario sprite" and will get the SMW one instead of the SMB3 one because of it's name. I hope this helps! all else fails, I believe theres another tutorial out there for this!
Sorry I'm late to respond, theres another comment I made in this thread that shares what I know about it! It's been a long time since then.@@TheRealSorav
I'm not sure what version of SMBX you are using, but I know if you update/install SMBX2, open up your Section Settings menu, and hit "Resize Section" and your level will become a green box and your cursor will become a gold glove. Use the handles on the sides of the box to extend the level in that direction. You can also click and drag the level if you'd like. Hitting the Apply button will apply the changed and return you to your previous tool. Cancelling will revert the changes back to what it looked like before you resized the box (Featured at 13:17)
The way to do it is to place the pipe like you would any other pipe, and then when you select an enemy, for example a Goomba, a little meu will appear, called "Item Properties" In that menu, you're going to want to click the tick box labelled "Generator" You'll see 4 arrows pop up with a square in the center. Treat the square in the center as if it was the pipe. If the pipe is coming out from a wall and the opening faces left, you're going to want to select the Left arrow. If it is a pipe coming out of the ground with the opening pointed toward the sky, click the top arrow. You have the decision of having it generate as a Warp (as in Warp Pipe) in which it will slide out like a warp pipe, or Projectile in which it will fire out with speed in the direction it is aimed (Like its being fired out of a cannon). You can also set the Delay, as in "How many seconds will pass between spawn?" So if you have a shorter delay, they will spawn faster. The longer the delay, the longer it will take between spawns. And thats about it for making enemies spawn from warp pipes or cannons!
Unfortunately, I'm not quite sure. I've never messed with in-game textures, i've always used what is pre-installed in the game, except for a few block tiles that I did some simple recolors of.
Thanks! I just wanted to see how to spawn Mario, because whenever i test, Mario just dies, But Now My Problem Is Fixed Now! Thanks! Because I Used To Play SMBX2 in 2020 And Now I Forgot How To Play.

If my memory serves me right, I believe there is a folder in the SMBX2 program files that has both graphics and music, and if I remember correct, you can just add your own sprite-work and music to those folders and define it in the engine and it should appear in the engine? I don't think so, at least not in base SMBX2, there might be some settings you can mess with to get it working though!
