This is a good reminder for us. As humans, we tend to follow the crowd and believe in earthly promises made by men, and I have been one of those. But, when I step back to look and listen, I know then God is reminding me that he's still on the throne because I know deep in my heart that there is no way a man can put this world back together, it is simply impossible. It's never happened before, and it will not happen, and I know that. Political figures are just another human filled with unclean thoughts and greed, so I just move along and tell myself, remember that the world and everything in it will not last, but our soul will live forever.

Up until a couple days ago we were in a very similar dry spell situation. Thankfully, we got a couple nice rains and filled the water collection system back up. Rain collection is critical these days, for every gardner and small scale farmer.

Yup, I live close by. Our ground was cracked open and dry as a bone, looked like the Serengeti Plain in the dry season.
