Your start problem with the delayed start is going to be your EGR valve and down stem. Clear your down stem and maby replace your EGR valve. Also take off your throttle body and clean it on both sides . This is what I did 2 days ago I had same issues you had. Don't forget to clean out the back side of your engine block were the egr valve connect. I scraped the whole and the used a shop vac sucked alot of stuff out of the engine block .
My Rpm rises past 3 at about a constant acceleration at 50mph and doesn’t come back down until it’s around 20 mph on my 07 Dodge Charger. Granted I can’t get on the highway cause the rpm will continue to boost without a decrease. Can’t seem to see what the problem is ..anything ?
My 2010 Dodge Charger also has that hesitation when starting especially when parked for awhile..a very small leak was detected after map sensor replaced and purge valve canister replaced now the throttle body assembly light has come on with the traction control light..any ideas what could be the fix?
So my 3.5 charger still runs after unplugging the map sensor. So I ran out and bought a new one. That did NOT fix it. With the new senor in, unplugging the map sensor still don't stop the car

the rocker arm assembly stinks on these engines. mine does the same noise on my 09 dodge charger 3.5 v-6 . at oil change with Zmax oil additive it helped mine, but STP makes an additive as well, for modern engines, its very thick, however.
Oil in the air filter means “ Blowby” Change your pcv valve. The engine is building pressure and forcing oil out into the hose. OR, The EGR is not working properly and building pressure in the engine. Either way the PCV valve and EGR will cause both of the issues of spitting oil into your air filter. Fix it quick, or you’ll destroy your engine after awhile.
Pretty sure that person who said "oil on their filter" and was asking what that part was.... is referring to the "intake manifold" and its normal for oil to be in it
Bro I have the same car the tick is your fuel rail making that tick put your finger on it buy the best fuel cleaner and put it in your tank and the high idle will go away you most likely have a clogged fuel injector and replace the egr valve will run like new
@@jazzyjazz2599 yes if the locking clip is damaged on the plug it will wiggle loose and the lighting bolt on the dash will illuminate as well as a no gas pedal control.
Hey there in regards to the delayed start issue. My wife's 07 3.5 liter had the same issue. After allot of research we figured it out. It wasn't showing any code for it either. It turned out to be the Cranks Position Sensor. Which is located underneath the car on the passenger side of the transmission. It was defective and caused the delayed start. We also disconnected the battery during this sensor replacement. I hope that this helps you. Now we are experiencing the dipping and low idle issue that you have. A completely separate issue I think. Let me know if you solved low idle issue. Any ideas? Thanks
Freddy Perez It’s best to change the camshaft sensor and the crankshaft sensor’s at the same time, the camshaft position sensor is on the top of the engine front near the left and the camshaft sensor is under the car on the passenger side behind the rack on the transmission near the top.
@@geeohh8452 turn the key to the on position but dont start it and wait for the engine like to blink and when it stops place your foot on the gas pedal all the way down turn it off and then crank
For your starting issues...i had a sluggish starter. It finally died at around 249k miles. The new one starts so fast it makes me believe my sluggish starter was always a problem since I bought it new in 2007.

That's not the problem. I have the same car, same engine, same issue. I replaced an O2 sensor that went bad, still doing it. I believe it to be either a slow starter or a dirty, possibly weak throttle body.
Had some problem but mine happens when either I sit or while driving I got a red lightning bolt light and traction light comes on limp mode but no engine light I believe it's the trottle body sensor
Yo bro I swear I have the exact same problems with my 08 dodge charger 3.5l v6 and I have 210xxx miles exact same color and everything And I have codes like this : 2111 0642 2122 0335 I I changed code for misfire coil pack and spark plug and then put everything back and then car sputters when accelerating or idling I vacuum leak and I replace the tube seal and right now I can't accelerat bc throttle body or sensor and I replace my crankshaft sensor circuit bc my car take a long time before starting I thought that would make my car crank up correctly but no I was literally told it has to be relearned by scanner

I'm doing this exact same thing this weekend. Egr valve is definitely a possibility. It's only about a $70 fix with a little time for labor.
Did you also have low idle and it fixed your idle after your replaced your egr?

Possibly the steering angle sensor. Look up a video about it.

its the egr valve tube going into the back of the intake manifold

Freddy Perez It’s best to change the camshaft sensor and the crankshaft sensor’s at the same time, the camshaft position sensor is on the top of the engine front near the left and the camshaft sensor is under the car on the passenger side behind the rack on the transmission near the top.
The camshaft position sensor is on the top of the engine front on driver’s side

You need to do idle relearn or idle adjustment with a high-end scan tool.

I have this issue right after changing spark plugs white smoke would come out somewhere in the engine and it will show code P01128
That’s the Crank Shaft and Cam Shaft Sensors making the car hard start

Air intake valve needs replacing about 40$ autozone also don’t clean with any solvent if you have to clean it for temporary fix
