  • Here are 3 very useful color combinations I often use in my paintings! 😁🎨
    1. French Ultramarine + Burnt Sienna
    A classic!
    2. Phthalo Blue + Quinacridone Rose + Yellow Ochre
    A versatile primary group for just about anything.
    3. Yellow Ochre + Neutral Tint
    This is a great combo for dark trees & treetops, as it mimics a dark green really well, and is EASY to mix.
    Side note - my absolute favorite Yellow Ochre is M. Graham's, it's extremely useful and the best one I used so far.

    I hope you found these useful! 😊🙏🏼

    Perynene green (may actually be made from black pigment) is a very dark green and wonderful for darkening greens.

    Don’t mind me, putting this set in my sketchbook right now! Especially that last one. I’ve always used viridian and alizarin for trees but that combo has such a nice warmth to it. Would love to see more!

    more combos please :) MGraham yellow ochre I guess is opaque? does it work well with other transparent paints?

    • @LironYan
      @LironYan  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Works extremely well with other transparent paints. I don’t remember the properties off the top of my head, but it definitely feels at least a little transparent (so may be something like semi opaque or semi transparent).
      But what I really love about it is how soft and smooth it is (unlike many other YO that are quite grainy and dry really hard on the palette). It makes it very practical to use (:

    these are combo/ complements or to mix? I guess thats obvious when you said green I got mentally thrown haha

    • @LironYan
      @LironYan  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Haha I get the confusion! The way I see it - I love to use colors that look great together when painted as is, but also with their mixes looking great.
      In other words - both! (:
