Ugh the memories. I feel so sorry for the world, as that time and FEELING will NEVER be something that can be replicated. This was THE GAME right as the internet was becoming a thing. A time where a single year contained as much video game diversity and evolution that you see across 5 to 10 years nowadays.
@@DamplyDoo You can play online with an emulator, I think Retroarch? But you need Quake 3 to set up an online account and a specific version of PSO for Dreamcast that can be found online to download. It takes a little time but it's worth it. There's instructional videos for how to set it all up. There's still active users, but about 10 or so at a time at most.
Fuckin love this game, anyone on psobb ultima ever find me, my character names are Blaze FE, and my other is Blaze V E. I'd post my guild card but I can't right now, maybe I'll edit this comment with it sometime. This music is so nostalgic. ❤️
It's hard to define a genre for PSO's soundtrack, but take a listen to some of DV-I's stuff, her music is clearly inspired by PSO and J-RPG's of that time (you can definitely notice in most of her tracks, like in "Absolute Flux" and "Telecompo, Health + Human System Division"). The guy who made the soundtrack for CrossCode (a little hidden gem of an indie game which I wish more people knew about) also said he took heavy inspiration from games like PSO, Klonoa and Chrono Cross when making the music for it ("Mysterious Place", "Awakaned" and "Rhombus Dungeon" reminds me a lot of PSO). Nanoray's album "GACHA" also has that similar Y2K vibe to it.
My friend, who I brought to play BB for the first time, joined my party and said "Hey, Lapfox remixed this song!" and I was like "HE DID?!" and the remix is KICKASS
I have fond memories of my parents yelling at me at midnight, for tying up the phone line playing this. I miss that time....

This was a good year.

This magnificent game was released the year I was born… :(
Look up ephinea
It was magical bud...🥲
The private servers say hi
Never played the series but I've heard snippets of this song and I had to come check it out, got that y2k feel
See phantasy star universe as well, good aesthetic reference there too
@@zzz-oc4fe great suggestion, this is amazing
y2k feel because it literally came out in the year 2000.
But I agree, I love the y2k era just because of that style.
Legendary game PSO was.
this was my exercising music back in the days
I'm about to cry. So much nostalgia 🥲
I still play this game to this day :( pso 2 is good and all but idk... This game just makes me happy :)
Yes it does
I go back and play the single player campaign on my emulator

I would love the playlist to not be in the wrong order, if that can be changed easily :)
Make your own playlist and go to each video and save em. That's what i do for my favorite OSTs.
5:33-5:46 :)
yes, music i went to sleep to.
Maybe in the year 3084 we really will be living in space on a ship name Pioneer 2. ☺
this song and the main menu song always made me tired!!!
What genre of music does this song get classified into?
ambient techno or IDM would probably the closest, but it's hard to find stuff that's too similar considering how unique it is, just like PSO itself

@@zwxn123 I discovered DV-I thanks to Crossniq+ and this composer is great at replicating the y2k style while still being unique.
the best and most epic part about this song is that it sounds like an extracted underground futuristic 90s remix of fireflies by owl city
you would not believe your eyes
This song sounds SOOOOO much like aphex twin's aegispolis,
+mobman47 on point!
+mobman47 on point!
vita IS a console lol
But either way, my main concern is if they will release a US vertion...
They just announced a US version. :D
Sadly the localization team seems to be directed by GabeN.
...and it's finally coming out
Yeah and PSO2 took frickin YEARS to get to the US finally! LOL
Lapfox...
My friend, who I brought to play BB for the first time, joined my party and said "Hey, Lapfox remixed this song!" and I was like "HE DID?!" and the remix is KICKASS
Only Ren can do that
👍
who?
Can someone tells which music he made with this?
TP?
Not long enough
