- The mullet bach is a diawl bach inspired pattern that works well for estuary mullet, bass and bream. It can be dead drifted or retrieved in areas where schools are feeding. A beauty! Thanks, Martyn
Cheers Gary, it'll be more beautiful wedged in an 8lb mullet's lip!
@@FlickingFeathers You are absolutely RIGHT!!! lol😄
I don't get to fish Mullet where I am in Canada. Pretty sure this would work as a Trout fly, fished under a strike indicator right near the bottom. Nice work. I'll subscribe. It is hard to find good thing videos that are not musicals! I've been tying a very long time, but I always find something new! 🇨🇦🇨🇦
Glad you enjoyed it, have a look through my older videos there are lots of trout flies in there too
I'm enjoying this mullet series I'm finding it hard to get the right size glass beads, can you link to your source?
I buy from a craft shop here in Japan. Try an embroidery/sewing shop if the fly shops near you can't help
Is there a way to protect the bead? I always end up cracking them
I think it's something that you need to live with, but making sure that the barb doesn't score the bead when you are threading it on does help a little
Hi Martyn, I have really enjoyed your new series on mullet flies. I happened to be reading Colin Macleod's new book, Mullet on the Fly. Keep on your good work! BTW, may I hope you will also do some tutorials on Kurodai flies as I requested a couple weeks ago? Stay safe and well!
I'll do the kurodai fly over the next couple of weeks, they live in the same box as my mullet flies. The tagged Romy's sand shrimp from Tuesday has caught me a few kurodai too by the way.
@@FlickingFeathers It is good to know that mullet flies also work for kurodai. I am really interested in fly fishing for carp, bream, and mullet, and they happen to be among the most finicky and hard-to-catch fish. LOL
Just filmed the kurodai fly, it'll be up today or tomorrow
