This is a deadly little pattern from Colin MacLeod that will catch mullet around the world. The addition of the fluorescent materials to his original pattern really help the fly stand out so the fish can find it. If you are going to tie 1 fly for mullet, this is probably it.

One of the best explanations I've seen on tying this fly, you always go that bit further, not just the how but the why.
I've caught quite a few mullet on Stewarts black spider in the heat of the summer, I know you have it on your Channel.

Looks like a red arse green peter version of the classic Gammarus shrimp. I'm loving it..

nice going to try this...our mullets at my place are tricky but they are not spooky as they are use to boats around them, its just hard from them to bite lol

Thanks a lot for this tutorial! Really well explained!
Do you know why mine is swimming upside down? And finaly, does a golden hook make the difference instead of a black nickel one? Thanks a lot 🙏🏻

I've never tied it on the nickel version. They fish hook up because of the drag being inside the gape.

@@FlickingFeathers thanks mate, I don't have Colin's book (which I should get and should've got) since it'd be a hassle to ship to somewhere outside UK
