Nothing like taking an old loco out and getting it running. Very nice. The Bachmann ones seem to be nice and smooth after the running in there. It looked fine with the rest of the trains running. Thanks again Mark. I enjoyed the 'Inter-City' running session greatly and it was good of you, All the best to yourself and the family. Keep Safe and Keep Well now. Cheers!
Was this a known livery on a 37. I have never seen a YT video with a 37 in the Swallow livery that I can remember. I am so used to the 43 (???) or HSTs. I am scratching my head to think how I have missed it. ANyhow... very cool looking int hat livery! Nice!
Hi Mark, I also have a Bachmann Mt Fuji Class 37. It came with factory fitted sound. I have problem though with the top speed of the loco, i.e. it runs too slowly. Your TH-cam video only showed your loco running at slow speed. Does it run at a realistic Intercity 'cruising' speed? Look forward to hearing from you.
Hi Clive yes mine runs fine. You probably need to adjust some of the CV's if you check the information that came with the installed decoder ( You might have to download them) it should point you in the right direction. I also need to do it on a few of my other locos. Might do a video on it soon.
@@DonegalDadRail Many thanks for the reply Mark. I've tried multiple CV changes with no marked difference in running speed noted. I think it will require a return to Bachmann for a new motor.
@@clivedudley5602 Did you see Graham Foulston video th-cam.com/video/uWp-a-IkZAU/w-d-xo.html he adjusted some CVs for his problem. Before you send it back try running it on DC to see how it performs.
What decoder did you use? I was given a Bachmann Class 43 and would like to get it running with my Hornby Select but was informed that it wouldn't work. It has a 21-pin header like yours so it looks like it might be a possibility. I know that I need to get the Select upgraded to the latest firmware (V.16 I think) so that is also in hand.
Hi Gerry I used the basic Bachman decoder www.kernowmodelrailcentre.com/p/39829/36-557-Bachmann-1-amp-4-function-DCC-decoder-21-pin-Plug. It should work with the decoder, I have ran 21 pin Bachmann Decoders with a Hornby select with no issues.

Thanks Flymo, remember I've had that one for ages. 🤣
@@DonegalDadRail Yes, it's a fantastic runner for its age now, right enough.
Well done Mark very good locomotive I just bought one myself
Thanks Bernie. Great loco, great pulling power with it.

Thanks Anthony, that livery was on a lot of engines but the best know would have been the class 43/HSTs.
That’s great. Just received one for Christmas.
Will you be adding a speaker?
Great loco and not a bad price. I won't be fitting sound to this one as I already have a sound 37.
@@DonegalDadRail no problem thank you
That's the 66 off the inter City rake then🙂
😂

@@DonegalDadRail Thanks Mark, I'll see about getting one of those and let you know how I get on.
No problem glad I could help.
@@DonegalDadRail Thanks again Mark, that worked perfectly.
