- Security features are a key part in making sure your silver stack is safe and reliable and that you can easily recognize a counterfeit. Take a look at some close up!

Another security feature of the Britannia is the preponderance of milkspotting.
If it isnt milked, it aint a brit 😆
If milk spotting bothers you then your qualify as a collector not an stacker a stacker doesn't care for the condition of the metal
@@mattslivar5174 discussion is about security
Wasn't aware of the milk spotting issue with the Philharmonic. Thank you for the education on the Britannia security features.
Absolutely hope it helped!
Love the Britannia, lovely design. At least on one side.
Agreed 🤣 wish they didn’t have the king or queen there
All these features are also included on the gorgeous 10oz Silver Britannia. BTW, if you move the coin slowly you should see the padlock turn from light to dark, then to a light trident then to a dark trident. Very cool. I haven’t seen much milk-spotting (the Royal Mint calls it white-spotting) at all on the more recent coins, and the Royal Mint says it is still trying to completely eliminate it. I think the Canadian Royal Mint has actually succeeded in this regard with their beautiful Maple Leaf silver coins. Wonder if the technology is shared and not relatable, or just not shared.
I’m working on doing a video for the maple, it’s my other favorite to stack
Great video. I own the Britannia’s and am aware of “some” of the security features but not all of them…now I am! Great teaching!
Glad it was helpful!
In UK, silver coins have a 20% VAT (sales) tax, whereas gold is untaxed.
20% VAT on silver is insane
I just fell in love with Britannia’s all over again man. Seriously, super interesting video. Loved the explanation of all the security features. It’s everything I try to explain to everyone, about why I love this coin. And… another tube gets added, with every video.
Let’s buy a monster box
@@StatesideStash yeah, let me just reach into my magic bag of money. I’ll let ya know when the magic starts working… any second now
The milk spots are my biggest problem with them. Should mint them in Canada… Also not a big fan of monarchs on my coinage (prefer gods and goddess)
Or owls 😉
Have you admired the Luna & the Lion on the newest bars released 😍
I have not! I’ll take a look though!
Next to the pre-1967 Canada dollar, the Britannia is my fave.
I’ll have to take a look at those!
Really only drawback in my opinion is that it has the Queen on the obverse. It would be nice if they were 9999 fine and a shielding from milkspotting
3 9s is still amazing and the milkspotting issues have come a long way since it first came out
Your lighting is too bright for viewing. Thanks for the security features, Please do research for the other security features on the coin.
I’m trying to find a better light
Can you please do security features on the Perth Mint coins. Thank you. Arthur
Yes sir! It’s my plan to do a video on security features as a whole and the Perth mint will be in there
Thanks for the video. Why don't you like Philharmonics?
Milkspotting issues, the over all design and no security features
I’ve always loved the Britannia but disliked the milk spot. Has it gotten any better? I would love to start buying it since you pointed out all the security features. Great video with pertinent information
Yes they solved a lot of the milk spot problems in 2021! They can still spot but not nearly as bad as they use to
Mintshield has almost eliminated milkspotting on Canadian Maple Leafs post 2018.
Unfortunately, according to all the British youtubers, molkspotting of Britannias is still prevalent
@@livinthedream7714 still much better than it used to be to be
@@StatesideStash to be or not to be... that is the question.
:)
Why no Philharmonics?
The design, milkspotting problems, no security features
I stopped buying British Milk Maids.
They’ve done a lot to fix the problem
@@StatesideStash no they haven’t.
