That's why mind trick + defensive rush is a good combo. Defensive rush blocks saber damage while mind trick blocks ability damage so you can heal while being offensive.

A note to fellow players - yoda, luke and maul can all be hit with melee and abilities during their rush abilities. if you are playing someone who is difficult to hit, its actually quite easy to anticipate their rush attacks so that you can land an ability on them

Most people dont understand how to Play Maul. He is not a Melee Char in the first place because he is VERY fragile. Key Weapon is his saber throw and you absolute MUST use it as LONG range weapon as a extend of your arm. Only when you Master it and if you can snipe your oppenent in every distance you can go on and finish the enemy in close combat when you feel confident. Level 700+ Pro Tip.

Always enjoy your tips and tricks man. Good duels 🤘 also since you featured Maul a lot, my friend who is a Maul main told me a new little trick about him. If you run his lightsaber defense card, it actually gives him 60% damage reduction in his spin attack, and it’s not just applied to blasters. Never really see it since the card applies to blasters. Most likely a lost bug but I went and tested it and it’s pretty cool.
Ability damage is supplemental than actual damage. Plus if done right, can have environmental damage, including edging off the map which is frowned upon. And will be targeted. Edging is a noob and coward move. But if done in a pro way, it's acceptable. Plus mistakes happens.

Actually Maul aint half bad in 1 v 1's you just have to know every other character and think of their cooldowns. For example everyone can counter Maul's dash if the have a rush/push/pull. However if you use that ability purely evasive and only when you have insured cooldowns are not up yet it's really good to make people feel claustrophobic. His dash should not be a standard i wanna do damage attack, because ppl can punish it as soon as you start doing it predictable or in a rhytm. Maul's push is highly lethal if there is an offmap option(I know it's cheap but if you can't block it you deserve it, I don't even get mad when I get hit by those cuz 95% of the time it's because I was too agressive or predictable. His lightsaber throw and cooldown combo is where you can make people nervous. Keep distance, punish clumsy attacks, keep the damage up with lightsaber throws(Not instantly off cooldown nor in the same combo more than 1's in a row). The nr 1 mistake of most Mauls I play is spamming their dash, and not ensuring the hit on the q(aka a maul that throws lightsabers into the ground instead of through you, or even worse they do it after the same moves so you can time ur dash away only costing 1 dash...)
Hey, I was just thinking and taught I’d tell you, you should use a scuff or strike pack. The strike pack is cheaper then a scuff its only like $46 plus tax and its pretty good to use especially for games like this. It really helped me a lot when I used to play and is no different from mouse and keyboard!!!!
how do you get the 1v1 duels, just luck? because whenever i try 1v1 in a 4 player match the other players always intervene and also is there any way to 1v1 a friend?
Yeah just luck. Next time try and spam the lightsaber block button if they do it back they’ll most likely wanna 1v1. But now with all the noob that are coming into the game the majority of the lobbies will just 2v1 unfortunately. :(
I was playing HvV got a solid 1v3 I was so excited Anakin was already at like 400 health. It was luke Anakin and obiwan I'm maul flipping spinning kiling then once obi and ani die luke starts running I just start screaming RUN LITTLE PIGGY RUNNNN it was so funny and amazing

It's useful to stop a spamming saber for a moment to give you time to dodge away. Also good when dashing behind a blocking saber hero and to melee their back. Gotta get the distance and timing just right but it's strong
Just need to find cool players, nowadays with all the noobs coming into the game it’s extremely hard to find Legit 1v1s cause all the noobs will just 2v1 :(

It kicks in when the bonus damage is depleted. You have to get hit while its active for it to work

As someone who mains Darth Maul, I'm glad you are trying to improve with him! Just out of curiosity how often do you find duels Bazaar?
I usually get at least one decent duel every play session, but sometimes it takes a while. A lot of new players makes the vets few and far between

I think mouse and keys gives you way more control with sabers. Parries and hook swings are a lot easier with a mouse

Rathbone play co-op mode. U level up super quick during double or triple xp and it’s really easy to get the heroes u want.
Heroes vs villains (4v4) is also very effective for levelling a specific hero

How do you hook swing I'm getting back into battlefront and not sure what's it is
You almost gotta have max sensitivity and jump while there blocking turn quickly and hit there back.
But I don’t personally use it i feel as your to exposed when you jump it’s a risky move but if you hit it, it’s very rewarding.
