Love that colour. I’m looking fwd to seeing it on 35’s. I plasti dipped my grille & silver parts of the bumper and it’s held up well through AB winters 😅
Haha that worked well then. Mine lasted one winter, and then the next year it got absolutely chewed up on the highway. 35s are going to completely change the way it looks. Haha

Nice ! looking forward to see suspension and tire update .. coz I am stuck there , I am on 275 and they are rubbing , which I didn't expected after reading bunch of forums.
Maybe I should do a video about overall tire fitment too. I appreciate ideas like this of what people want info on.🤙🏼

Excided for this build. I recently got an FJ Cruiser and looking to add some mods to it. I already beat you to the front grill and lights. Really looking forward to the roof rack and fitting 35's. I'm currently on 35's but they rub a little when going on and off uneven surfaces. Maybe that's something you can cover as well. Hopefully you do a front bumper and rear bumper install. Would like to see that as well to get ideas for mines.
That’s awesome!! The 35” tire video I plan to show in detail, so that should definitely give you some ideas. The rear bumper will be staying stock, but this FJ will get my current front bumper, and I will be putting a tinkerer designs bumper on my white FJ. So you’ll essentially get to see two bumper install videos with two very different types of bumpers.🤙🏼
did u retrofit the headlights yourself or are these from freedom outfitters?
These are from Freedom Outfitters. I still plan to do a retrofit video, it just might still take a couple of months before I get to it. 🤙🏼
I would personally remove the bug guard and paint the grill a gun metal gray or some other dark gray. Personally would have painted the projector surround the same color as well. Would like to do an HID retrofit on my headlights but the headlights look far too iconic and cool to modify, cant bring myself to do it.
Once I get the last few things done on it, I’ll do an updated video. It looks pretty sweet now because I colour matched a bunch of stuff! I personally like the more updated look of the headlights, but you could totally do chrome retrofits to retain more of the classic look.🤙🏼

Some videos will definitely be geared more that way, I just try to explain things in detail. I understand how it would feel long though, and I think you’ll enjoy some of the upcoming videos more.👍🏼
Sure glad You're not doing My FJ makeover. Why not just spray paint the whole thing Black and be done with it - - - - ? 🤷♂😩
Spray paint will never hold up like an OEM black part, but people can do whatever they want with their own FJs.
@@fj_matt I know thats Your answer. Yes We all have choices. I just don't understand why You'd give a nice looking FJ two black eyes. The new generation has lost all liking for Color. It shows in everything from clothing to motorcycles to nice FJ's. Glad I'm old at this time- - - ->>🤭
And chrome is such an exciting colour? Not sure I really follow you point with that one. Once it got the black grille and other paintwork, everything tied in super nicely.
I have a beautiful 2014 GREEN FJ and I love My amber signals and original grill. Today all the young people have to have everything Blacked out. They look like a funeral hearse. No thanks - - - I'm out - ->>>
