I went in farm foods today in Cornwall, the prices in your shop are cheaper. My favourite farm food treat is the chocolate covered almonds in the sweets and nut section , I've just eaten a whole packet to myself 😊

Found some lovely crisps in Farmfoods today, Truffle and Rosemary, (Clearly Marked Vegan), £1-59, or £2-50 for two big bags. Very nice for a treat.💜💛

By the way, I actually know of a good market trader who is vegan and sells shoes at his stall. Have a Farm Foods near us in Erith.
It has recently been renovated and offers vegan options. However, we only have a small box freezer so sadly cannot buy too much frozen produce from there 😊
They may get more in, especially if you ask.

You have it very lucky in the UK with healthy competition and lower prices in your supermarkets. Here in Australia we have 2 main huge supermarkets that was recently revealed they have put up prices in the last 2 years by 14%. Yesterday at our local we noticed sales everywhere and i have never in my life seen so many specials tags.

I was so tired of "freezer Jenga"
that just before the pandemic
I bought a chest freezer
and it lives in the cellar
(most if not all houses have a cellar
it seems to be the law)
and that rarely gets more than half full
I'd luv to know the difference between a cellar and a basement

I was translating the word Keller from German.
Cellars are unheated and for storage - ideal for a chest freezer.
Basements seem to be extra living space under the ground floor especially in North America.

We have a new block of flats built near our tram stop
and they have an underground garage and a each has a "cellar"
- I think they are pretty small cellars.

Hi guys, appreciate these budget food shops. l also forgot to say l loved the lidl greek vlog. If it wasn't for the video, l'd have missed greek week 😱. Gladly stocked up on tins 👍😁. l never spotted the desserts though, so be interesting to see what you guys think of them when you get to them.
We went to eat them ten days after the best before so missed out. Our bad

My bargain of today is 2 big bags of turkey and stuffing flavour crisps out of Lidl for £1! Christmas leftovers but that's fine by me 🎄🎅

Hello, I’m vegetarian trying to go vegan (please don’t judge, doing it slowly whilst introducing things to my home so my kids don’t notice too much of a change at once, one has autism and both have sensory issues). My boys are so sensitive when it comes to animal welfare, but milk is so hard to change for them, do you have any hints or tips that might help us please? Also cheese is a huge thing, we tried the cathedral city and my son was physically gagging because of the smell. I wish our farmfoods was as big as yours, our is mini in comparison.
For cheese we would suggest none for few weeks. Dairy is so addictive and it takes real effort to get off it and eventually enjoying vegan alternatives.
A few weeks abstinence and them trying a couple of different cheeses might make the difference.
For milk it's really a very personal thing. We've stuck with Koko for many years but tried loads first.

Good luck, if you can find the Plant Based cheeses in Aldi, they are terrific, and melt well too.
Good on you for planning to switch from veggie to vegan. I was veggie for a massive 35 years and have been vegan for nearly 5. I think it's probably easier if you don't eat meat anyway but yes, the dairy was difficult at first. I was overwhelmed with the unusual smell at first but there's so many to choose from now I'm sure you'll find something for your family. I wonder if maybe a 'cheese' spread to start with? Some are very mild. The plant Philadelphia for instance has a very gentle taste and might be nice on toast or crackers for your son? Good luck and be proud that you're trying! X

Hi, the heinz bean burgers are a bargain, but I just don t find them tasty.
As we always say with burgers, it's all about the fixings.
The heinz beanz nuggets, aren't great, in my opinion, and the kids don't like them either. But the kids tried them squeaky bean dippers tonight, and they loved them 💚💚💚
