Honestly, women and men that are in the dating scene SHOULD have groups like this for their communities. You never know who you are meeting and people seem to get more and more insane. Having a community that tracks individuals like this or that are worse should be put on blast. As long as you are not actually defaming or slandering the person. Some people need to hear the hard truths about themselves to make a change.
"As long as you are not actually defaming or slandering the person." I don't think anyone disagrees with you on this. The problem is the girls in this group were lying and defaming the guy. Charlie butchered the story. Lehto's Law covered the story better.
Nah I think it’s pretty ratty. It’s a lose-lose for men because most men just won’t care that much to do things like this, it’s just not how they operate or rather spend their time, and if they did I’m sure it’d hurt so many women’s feelings if they were talked about in one of those groups. I’m sure it’ll be seen as problematic, lots of double standards around this I’d fear. I’m also sure many guys have been wrongly slandered in these groups. I rather just not have groups like this.
Yeah there are upsides to it, but making gossip groups just to talk shit about each other isn’t going to help the situation of people becoming crazier. It will only make it worse. If you ever had a shitty experience as either the man or woman on a date and the other decides to slander you to all other people maybe very much undeserved. You will be at a disadvantage for the next date, even if you didn’t do anything wrong. You are essentially making dating a review based business, leaving no room for mistakes and a lot of room for slander and gossip. And there will always be someone who doesn’t get reached by the gossip club who will get an even more bitter/crazy person in front of him/her. Dating is about seeing of your personalities match. It’s the entire point of dating. One person’s experience might not reflect another one’s. This will only create more animosity and creeps in the long run cause people get rejected based on personality without even meeting someone.

Not to long ago I heard a Reddit story about a guy who was posted on the same private Facebook group and decided not to continue dating her! He also felt it was a breach of privacy and thought the only reason to be posted on that group means that you are being accused of being a creep! Funny that there is a lawsuit now!
The legal system needs to change in order to stop blatantly frivolous and petty lawsuits like this from being possible. They are such a waste of time and money, and this is getting ridiculous. You shouldn't be able to sue someone just because they hurt your fee fees.
who will decide if a lawsuit is frivolous? It would cause more issues having authority determine if a persons freedom to litigate is governed. Slippery slope.
i would agree, but moist here has represented the case wrongly and hevily in a negative way he's not suing the woman who actually dated him he's suing the 27 woman who didn't and claimed otherwise even reposting the lies after being ordered to delete the posts
this gives me the vibes of that cliche in sit-coms where the one character who dates tons of people, eventually brings all those people in one room at the same time, and asking why they all hated him
At this point, I’m convinced Charlie just wants someone to sue him because he knows he can make more content than he’d lose in lawsuit. That and he would probably win.
@@davidfox2650 Calling him out as a "Turbo Loser" and "Cringe" both falls under defamation and harassment. That'd be the case that'd be tried in court should he sue Moist for these comments and video. However, it is a public case at this point and it'd be viewed as social commentary along with freedom of speech so he's not really in harms way. But I can definitely see the above being what he'd go after Moist for, kinda makes sense when you think about it even if it doesn't make any sense at all if you're a normal human being.
He's not suing 27 woman so much as he's suing FB/Meta and has to identify the actual posters. "D'Ambrosio's attorneys hope a new Illinois anti-doxing law - which went into effect Jan 1. - could bolster the case which they see as the first of its kind. The attorneys are now fielding hundreds of calls of other men who have seen their personal information attached to similar forums."

with how fragile his ego is, i’d be scared of this dude. & no wonder all these women didn’t feel comfortable saying these things to his face. he clearly would not have taken it well.
We have a similar fb group in our area in Australia. I was on it and one of my exes started a smear campaign. My dads friend started defending me and it was a bloodbath. I just had to deal with it.
You should look into the one that’s suing in LA, he’s suing over 200 women and the claims on the court documents are just ridiculous, along the lines of “they all hating because they’re too ugly for a prime specimen like me”.
It's gone to the point now where people are really making all these frivolous lawsuits just to try to financially ruin other people. Even though the case is going to be thrown out he's still trying to force these women into needing to hire legal positions.
@@Isaac-eh6uu Not few people out there live paycheck to paycheck. To them, 2-3 thousand dollars could put them in financial struggle for easily up to half a year. But alas, in our beautiful world Nobody can ever not be wealthy amiright 🤠
What's crazy is that Charlie spoke about these groups accidentally a few weeks ago. He probably just doesn't remember. in the "First Time I've Seen This" video.
That's some shitty way of thinking. Hypothetically, if his some ex just want to ruined his reputation to ruined his potential for future relation. You saying He shouldn't defend himself because it attracts more attention? Or blaming him for defending own reputation? That's same point Amber Heard's expert witness made against Johnny.
He does seem insufferable, but I don’t know, unless I feel like that person is abusive or an actual DANGER to society, I wouldn’t post bad Yelp reviews about a person to social media-that can easily get beyond that Facebook group. It’s just petty and unnecessary. Bad date, didn’t vibe? Move on. Tell your friends maybe in your own personal text thread, but taking it to social media is just a scummy as he is. If he’s such a bad person, take the L and find someone else. Talking sh!t about him online and telling other people not to date him because of your own personal bad experience doesn’t seem cool to me. Again, unless he’s abusive or a danger, or is kind of defaming him. Imagine if these girls were deemed as bad dates, and someone blasted them. I bet you they would be pretty upset.
I'm part of the group and its life-saving for many women. Some guys are repititive abusers who go unpunished. It helps us to avoid those men. Also, it's not just a group shitting on men. Many men are often praised for being nice.
So it's a group for women who date around a lot to rate men depending on their actions on a date so other women can go to that same man and get the same deal, got it. If you're so scared of men, why even go on a date? it doesn't make sense - unless the whole reason you're going there is to get free food. You have to remember there's generally nothing in it for men when they go on a date, they go eat, pay for the dinner, go home and jack off. Net loss. Meanwhile for women it's a net gain - go eat for free, bore someone to death for a few hours and go home and finish your bottle of wine you just bought, or even better, received as a gift. Which one should really have a rating system for dates? but yes, I can understand outing abusive men who actually abuse women physically. Talking someone into dropping their panties isn't abuse.
But you know you aren't going to avoid those men. Men of culture are too intimidating and predictable to suit your fancy. We can try to arrange a date for you with a gentleman, but you'll likely just end up at jock's apartment playing strip beer pong a few nights later.
Fun Fact: The Streisand effect is an unintended consequence of attempts to hide, remove, or censor information, where the effort instead backfires by increasing awareness of that information.
@@trashgamer4665Not necessarily. They had a private conversation about him, they didn’t publicly defame him. Also, what they said is true, defamation is technically “A false statement purporting to be fact”, not just saying something mean. He ruined his own reputation when he decided to publicly sue them and bring a ton of attention to the PRIVATE facebook group.
Statement has to be knowingly false and malicious. It's very hard to prove someone knew what they were saying wasn't true with intent of publicly defaming a person. This likely meets none of the requirements being private, probably factual, and debatably not.even harmful statements. They're pretty neutral ratings.
Didn’t Charlie just post a video of a girl threatening to put a guy in a fb group with thousands of people and she’ll make sure he never gets with a woman again, you think she’s the only one like that, js.
So 27 bad women just happened to pick one guy? Sorry but a group that warns women about violent men saving lives is worth a few men being single. Human lives are worth more than someone finding a date.
Yeah, he seems like a a-hole and he's bringing more (negative) attention to himself than any private group would probably do. That aside, those groups are, at best, also cringy and, at worst, capable of indeed ruining someone's reputation. It only takes one or two ill-intentioned people for that. I know, I've been there. During college I went in several dates with a girl, we were intimate, dated for around two months and, while she was physically attractive, when it came down to interests and personality we were very different. I talked with her about that, explained that I didn't think a relationship would work between us because we had so little in common, and that we would eventually grew tired of each other. Apparently she understood, agreed and it seemed we ended it in good terms. Everything was very adult and with no drama involved. A month or so afterwards I started to engage in the dating scene again and pretty much every girl in the places I usually went to avoided talking to me and some even looked at me with a disgusting look. Two months later (so, around three months after the break-up) I started to get involved with a girl, who was very wary to reciprocate and while we started going out on dates we were never physical at any level (not even kisses) at her request. This went on for around a month and, after one date, she unexpectedly invited me to her apartment and things went from 0 to 100, that night. After a while of us dating she once asked me "Do you know why girls say those things about you? You're nothing like that." I was dumbstruck. I asked her what things were said about me, and she explained that it was known by most girls how i had been abusive in my last relationship, how i was rough and how i demeaned my ex-girlfriend during sex to the point of physically hurting her. As you guessed by now, the ex didn't take the break-up in good terms, after all, and started spreading those lies amongst her friends who spread it to other girls. TLDR: 1) He's an idiot. 2) Those groups are cringy and/or dangerous. 3) I've been through a situation where an ex spread lies about me to other girls. 4) While I agree with the majority of what Charlie said, saying those groups are private and innocuous is not true.

"As long as you are not actually defaming or slandering the person."
I don't think anyone disagrees with you on this.
@@Ryan-cb1eiExactly we had a nation wide trend in high school in which boys made lists of the girls they would fuck and wouldn’t (i didn’t make it up either). Yup, to any man with a working brain this should've been a staple a long time ago.

So 27 bad women just happened to pick one guy? Sorry but a group that warns women about violent men saving lives is worth a few men being single. Human lives are worth more than someone finding a date.
Narcissists will always overplay their hand
