    I hope hisuian lilligant (assuming pokemon will make some excuse to make hisuian forms available in future titles) gets triple axel as a coverage move in the future. It's a ballet dancer so ice skating isn't that much of a stretch, and a really good physical ice coverage move would be great for dealing with flying types.

      @Hog Water cancels out the weakness to Fire, but since Dragon/Bug/Steel resists Electric and Grass, these don't come as weaknesses
      At the end
      Neutral Damage from: Flying, Fighting, Fire, Dragon, Fairy, Dark, Ghost, Electric, Grass, Rock

    I get your point about Sneasler being a Dark type because it looks and acts the part but there are still plenty of Poison types that are quite the nasty fellows. You got Poison types like Golbat, a vicious bloodsucker, Tentacruel, for obvious reasons, Toxtricity, an uncaring, apathetic guitarist with tinnitus and Eternatus who even becomes the main antagonist of Sw&Sh by the end.
    Again, Dark type could definitely work but I feel Poison type already does the job fine.

  • @PocketFan25
    @PocketFan25 2 ปีที่แล้ว +7

    As a huge fan of hisuian braviary i think this mighty eagle could get a third type, normal in this case, the pokedex does say it emits very powerful screeches, so i could see it lashing high power hyper voices or even boombursts, the normal typing would also benefit hisuian braviary a ghost immunity instead of a weakness while trading a quad resistance to fighting into just a regular resist, fair trade in my book.

    I find the terminology of "quad" resistance/strength funny because that implies a regular strength/resistance should be a double. I understand that the effect on damage is 4 and 1/4, but a single resistance is 2 and 1/2. In a quad case, the resistance/strength is only coming from 2 types, and it is double that of a single resistance/strength.
    e.g the Rock and Ground types are weak to grass, resulting in x2 damage. Therefore a Ground & Rock type Pokemon should be doubly weak to grass, resulting in x4 damage

    • @emperorcubone
      @emperorcubone  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I mean it effectively is "Double" since 1x would be neutral, so a regular weakness would be 2 times normal...

      Scrafty's design concept was to make something that fits both the Fighting and Dark types, but really it winds up only fitting Dark so it should be mono Dark type.
      Most Normal/Flying types could have just been left at pure Flying.
      Lucario has no justification for its Steel typing that doesn't apply to basically every other Fighting type in existence.
      Charizard could just have Levitate as its Ability rather than Flying as a type nowadays.
      Turning dual types mono-type is easy - going the other way is a lot harder.

      Scyther (with Generation 6, replaces Flying)
      Yanmega (with Generation 6, replaces Flying)
      Flygon (replaces Ground)
      Whirlipede & Scolipede (replaces Poison)
      Also if Triple Types were a thing I totally see the Applin line would be part Bug except Appletun who would be Grass Dragon Fairy.

    • @hbarudi
      @hbarudi 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Scyther bug and dragon? No and generation 6 I assume mega evolution but there is no mega scyther. Maybe another way for scyther to evolve after the new kleavor that we got.
      Yanmega I agree, Flygon I agree but its just the you can't remove the ground type from it and maybe it should become a bug and ground type instead which is a rarely used type (only nincada and wormadam are of this type) that is good competitively.
      Wimpod and golisopod should have been bug and ground instead of bug and water.
      The venipede line I agree it can benefit from becoming bug and dragon type.
      Before getting to triple types, I would like to have a fully evolved breedable pokemon of every existing single (pure flying type) and dual type combinations.
      Especially dragon and fairy we don't have such a pokemon not counting mega evolution.
      Once we have all those types we can think of triple types, but I would do a rebalance where you can do damage to pokemon from 1/2x to 2x based on type and no 4x and 8x weaknesses or resistances.

      If you think about it, Palkia and Dialga's Origin forms look more like punishments.
      Palkia lost its' arms, which means that Spatial Rend shouldn't be as effective without them. And Dialga's throat is blocked, meaning that it shouldn't be able to use Roar of Time as effectively.
      I like how both of them look rather unnatural in their Origin forms, as if they are suffering because they're not supposed to be that way.

    I don't get why you go from nail to bug?
    Not even are snails a far cry from bugs in the real world, but every snail/ slug Pokémon we've gotten so far has not been bug either (Magcargo/ Gastrodon/ original Goodra).
    It's a snail. Not a bug.

    • @emperorcubone
      @emperorcubone  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      "Bug" is a very broad, generic term that includes way more than just insects. Arachnids are bugs, but not insects, that's why the spider and scorpion Pokemon still belong there, so don't get all bent out of shape just because you're using a narrow definition...

    • @DerNiko

      @@emperorcubone Hey! Thanks for the reply. My comment probably sounded more aggressive than it was supposed to be. English isn't my Native language, so if you guys use the term bug in that manner, I apologize. In German it specifically refers only to insects, not only that but a certain subset of insects that doesn't involve things like bees, flies, etc. I thought this was true for the terminology everywhere. Nevertheless, I still don't thiink Gamefreak would categorize snails as bugs. Otherwise they probably would have done so already. Magcargo already had two types that make sense. But I think Gastrodon, and at the very least the Goomy line would have been Bug types if that was the case. Again, not mad over here. I just like to argue about one of my favourite franchises.
