I would have made Xerneas a grass type to not only make it have dueling types with Yvetal but also because it has control over life which fits with the grass type
I've actually seen that as a suggestion quite a bit, and then have them gain more dynamic typings as they grow. I'd say it's worth a shot at least once...
Don’t know why but I’ve always thought the gogoat line was grass and normal. Also Emperor Cubone I can actually see xernas’ antlers being based on the traditional imagery of the inside of the brain and it getting psychic would work
Game Freak wants to avoid making the crustacean-based Pokémon Bug types. Otherwise, the Krabby and Corphish families would already have it. Yeah, it's a little odd that they do it for the arachnids but draw the line at crustaceans, but that's what they decided.
I can understand Flabébé not being Grass-type. Like Farfetch'd, the plant is just a weapon, a conduit for it's power. It's not a part of the Pokémon itself. Florges, on the other hand, straight up is the flower. Should have been Grass-type all along.
This is definitely a nitpick, though I do notice a mistake. Frogadier actually wouldn’t be weak to both of Quiladin’s types. Flying resists grass, so Frogadier would be neutral to grass and weak to rock. Good video regardless!
It gets even stranger. Water would be weak against Grass, but Grass is weak against Flying, and Flying is weak against Rock, and while Rock is weak against Water Grass would turn it back to standard damage. Still, it’s funny how the types of Emperor Cubone’s Quilladin and Frogadier would interact with each other
Ok, first it was me thinking that Elektross was Water type, and now the Goodra line is only dragon type! I swear on all my life that they have always been poison/dragon.

@@ActualTrash8 Sure but that's clearly not enough to justify steel. If we are honest Lucario should be Psychic or (a bit farfetched) Fairy because of the whole aura thing with Lucario! :-D
Well I think the whole point of the Mega was to make it stand out from Froslass so people would actually choose it, so just copying wouldn't have been much help. (Plus many people think it's a Dark type already...)
Flabebé and Floette should actually be bug types, theme wise and all. It'd be more interesting. Then Florges yes, grass type, though for its personality it could totally pull the dark or poison type. Also since they're floating, they could also gain the flying type.
Alola is next, and for that, I can see base Necrozma being Psychic/Ghost. "Necro" is in the name, and it's basically a rearranged skeleton of it's true form.
Poison fits Spritzee and Aromattise better than Psychic. Plague germs could be considered a poison, and it’s said that their smell is overwhelmingly powerful. I think Swirlix and Slurpuff should get the Flying type. Swirlix is seen floating about, and they both appear to be light and airy, so I think it fits well. Xerneas should be half-Grass, since it slept as a tree for 1,000 years and gives life energy to those around it. If it has to get a new type, Flying is also a better fit for Mega Mewtwo Y. I mean… it floats. That’s kind of its thing, and as it is it doesn’t even get Levitate! Ice fits well for Kyogre, to balance out Groudon and because… well… it just kind of fits well.
I’d give spritzee and aromateese the poison type, because the Pokédex says that they can make both good and Foul smells! Foul smells you say? Almost like a skunk, wich stunky and skuntank are based on, who are poison type. For that same reason. You get the point.
What's about Fairy/ Grass for Xerneas, yeah, the type make it even weaker but can be interesting. Xerneas "resembles" a tree = Grass. The most interesting is it connection to Yveltal. Xerneas's Fairy type stronger than Yveltal's Dark type but Xerneas's Grass type will be weaker than Yveltal's Flying type...
While I 100% agree with Furfrou should stay as pure normal, I’m surprised you didn’t think about giving it part water since it’s based of the poodle dog breed which was originally breed to be water retrieving gun dogs like labradors and golden retrievers before becoming show dogs. The poodle’s dog show haircut are also speculated to be one of the inspiration for the modern float vests.
I'd possibly consider Normal/Fairy for Furfrou, though I see why you thought Fighting. But I'd add the Poison type to Spritzee and Aromatisse, in keeping with the plague and perfume theme.
@@emperorcubone Well I personally have always thought that dark would be the most fitting secondary type for it, and I don't think it's anywhere near as much of a stretch as your suggestion to randomly make it part dragon, of all possible types

Goomy is my favourite pokemon but i think dragon/water or dragon/bug would fit the whole line and sure poison works but it say only for sliggoo uses acid tho not goodra and the whole line are slugs/snails and water is connected with them and you need rain for sliggoo to evolve into goodra.
Agreed; the moral of the story is there's no good reason for them to all be pure Dragon...
I would have made Xerneas a grass type to not only make it have dueling types with Yvetal but also because it has control over life which fits with the grass type
Maybe you should do a video for Pokémon that you want to get regional form.
I've thought of it, but then I'd have to design their new forms and that takes forever...
Normal type Starter Pokémon? Interesting
I've actually seen that as a suggestion quite a bit, and then have them gain more dynamic typings as they grow. I'd say it's worth a shot at least once...
@@emperorcubone good choice
I love the idea of a Bug Goodra, lovely
Don’t know why but I’ve always thought the gogoat line was grass and normal. Also Emperor Cubone I can actually see xernas’ antlers being based on the traditional imagery of the inside of the brain and it getting psychic would work
The fact that you made Slurpuff poison and not Aromatisse is a travesty - you even mentioned it's plague doctor inspiration
You gotta love the Ground type
for clawitzer I think dragon would work well, with it's big dragon claw. claucher could just be bug type.
STAB Mega Launcher Dragon Pulse would be pretty great!
Florges is indeed particularly insulting; it's mostly plant at that point!
Still, it’s funny how the types of Emperor Cubone’s Quilladin and Frogadier would interact with each other
8:43 what line changes type except fletchling-fletchinder? Some gain types but does anyone else actually change?
Skrelp loses its Water Type in favor of Dragon when evolving
Good point but I wouldn’t say that makes kalos “no stranger to shifting types” with a whopping two pokemon
Ok, first it was me thinking that Elektross was Water type, and now the Goodra line is only dragon type! I swear on all my life that they have always been poison/dragon.
Fairy/Flying makes so much sense for Sylveon. A Slyph is an air element Fairy.
I thougth that skidoo and gogoat were normal/grass and that mega-absol was a dark/fairy
Rock could also fit with Gogoat. Mountain goats and all that.
I feel like bergmite could actually pull off the bug type. there is a reason why it has "mite" as the second half of its name.
I’ve always thought this.
Im a simple man
Slurpuff in thumbnail
I click.
Grass for Xerneas would be better because Xerneas'es Fairy is strong against Yveltal's Dark so Yveltal's Flying should be strong against Xerneas'es Grass. Also this pokémon is highly associated with life/nature and looks like TREE.
My predictions for Alola:
Litten line - normal > ground
Popplio line - fairy > fairy
Yangoos line - dark or ground > dark or ground
Grubbin - ground
Crabrawler - bug
Lycanroc line - dark > dark
Wishiwashi - normal (solo), dark (school)
Mudsdale line - normal > fighting
Lurantis line - bug or psychic or dark > bug or psychic or dark
Bounsweet line - fairy > fairy > fighting
Comfey - flying or grass
Passimian - normal or dark
Pyukumuky - rock or bug or dragon (this is reference to my own regional variant)
Type:Null line - steel
Komala - grass
Jangmo-o - normal
Cosmog line - flying > flying
Xurkitree - steel
Necrozma - dark
Poipole - dragon
Zeraora - fighting
My predictions for "unknown region":
Meltan line - normal > fighting
EC, remember: Meltai is of course 7 gen pokémon (actually more like ½ or ⅓ of 7 gen but nevermind), yet it's NOT ALOLA PoKéMoN since thwy're unoptainable in SM & USUM.
My predictions for Galar:
Grookey line - rock or normal > rock or normal > rock or normal
Scorbunny line - electric > electric > electric
Sobble line - steel > steel > steel
Greedant line - dark > dark
Rookidee line - normal > steel
Blipbug - psychic
Thievul line - normal or fire (you know, the gunpowder plot, gunpowder is flammable, also foxes are associated with fire just like ninetales)
Eldegoss line - fairy > fairy
Wooloo line - rock > rock
Chewtle - rock or normal
Yamper line - normal or ground or fighting > normal or ground or fighting
Rolycoly - fire
Sandaconda line - dragon > dragon (using it, Rihan became more dragon-than-ground trainer)
Barraskewda line - dark > dark
Grapploct line - water > water or dark
Polteageist line - water or rock > water or rock (tea or pot)
Hatterene preevos - fairy > fairy
Perrserker - fighting or dark
Cursola - rock
Sirfetch'd - grass or flying
Milcery line - water or normal > psychic
Falinks - bug or steel
Pincurchin - water
Stonjourner - normal (but only for the STAB, shouldn't be changed) or psychic (you know, mystical stonehenge)
Eiscue - same as above
Cufant line - same as above
Box Legendaries - normal (Hero of Many Battles forms)
Kubfu - normal
Regieleki - steel
Regidrago - rock or psychic
Glastrier - fighting
Spectrier - darkpredictions
I never noticed there were only 2 ground types in Kalos until this video.
It's a disgrace really... Ground deserves much better!
I mean, Fairy types were new back then, so Furfrou could have been part Fairy and I wouldn't have minded at all
I'm excited for gen 8 with some great mons like grapploct and sir fetchd
I call it now:
Sirfetch'd = Fighting-Flying or Fighting-Ground ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Grapploct: Fighting-Water
Falinks: Fighting-Bug (PLEASE, Heracross needs proper rivals) or Fighting-Steel
Perrserker: Steel-Dark (my choice) or Steel-Fighting
Rillaboom: Grass-Fighting
Kubfu: Fighting-Normal
@@cannabishornliu6119 Falinks with bug doesn’t make sense and heracross has pinsir
@@ActualTrash8
Why not.
We have crab-like Pokémon with Bug type...
And Lucario is Steel type.
Falinks should have a secondary Bug type.
@@cannabishornliu6119 lucario has steel type because it has metal spikes on its body
@@ActualTrash8
Sure but that's clearly not enough to justify steel.
If we are honest Lucario should be Psychic or (a bit farfetched) Fairy because of the whole aura thing with Lucario!
:-D
Avalugg is already one of my favorite Pokémon, but if it had the dragon type, it probably would be my favorite.
Avalugg is due for some love!
I always taught clawitzer should be steel typed
Clawitzer at least probably should have gained Steel, yes.
And I always thought flash cannon is mega launcher boosted
Also mega blastoise should be steel too
I'm surprised you didn't give Braixen the Dragon typing.
I could have sworn the Skiddo-Gogoat line were part normal type.
Sawsbuck is.
I'm probably getting confused, your right, but I do strongly recall a X/Y trailer in which Gogoat was classified as being Grass/Normal
Ayo, y’all rockin with STAB parental bond power up punch on mega kangaskhan?
I would have given Mega Glalie the Ghost type, to solidify its connection with Froslass even more.
Well I think the whole point of the Mega was to make it stand out from Froslass so people would actually choose it, so just copying wouldn't have been much help. (Plus many people think it's a Dark type already...)
Gogoat is a mountain goat. It being Grass/Rock would be sick
Hang on the flabebe line isn’t grass type? I’ve been living a lie
Flabebé and Floette should actually be bug types, theme wise and all. It'd be more interesting. Then Florges yes, grass type, though for its personality it could totally pull the dark or poison type. Also since they're floating, they could also gain the flying type.
I love the tcg art
Can we talk about how he gave none of the Tynamo line water type/ Why does he hate water type so much?????
Alola is next, and for that, I can see base Necrozma being Psychic/Ghost. "Necro" is in the name, and it's basically a rearranged skeleton of it's true form.
I’d make Xerneas fairy/ground, mainly because it’s signature move Geomancy. Geo = ground
I Would Have Made The Goodra Line Dragon Water
Pangoro isn't evil, just tough. One the contrary, the Pokédex even said it is kindhearted at times and doesn't put up with bullying
I just meant evil in the Dark type sense, being the "evil" type in Japan.
video suggestion when this series is over: what if dual-typed pokemon had a third type?
They would all be Ground!
I feel like I saw this vid an hour ago or so and the Pokémon on the thumbnail was something other than slurpuff. Am I wrong?
I completely forgot about Furfrou
Even with all the styles it's still so forgettable.
I enjoyed this
I’d give spritzee and aromateese the poison type, because the Pokédex says that they can make both good and Foul smells!
I could see Xerneas being a steel type since it’s legs kinda look like swords
mega manectric could have gain the dark tho to its Intimidate ability
I suppose that could work, I just can't bring myself to call a lightning bolt "dark." I know it's a different kind of dark, but still...
@@emperorcubone Well I personally have always thought that dark would be the most fitting secondary type for it, and I don't think it's anywhere near as much of a stretch as your suggestion to randomly make it part dragon, of all possible types
I honestly think you should only do full evolved Pokemon for these.
Every pokemon that evolves in sword and sheild:
GYAAAAAAHHHHH
i would love absol being dark/fairy. though i do understand flying. but she learns a bunch of fairy moves, and has mystical powers to predict disasters, feels fairy to me
