    * A note on corona safety: in this video, filmed during the early stage of the epidemic, our host can be seen without wearing a mask. Please note that this was strictly limited to time spent on camera, conducted at a safe distance from others and with the cooperation of local businesses.

Kia ora from New Zealand. My partner and I had the good fortune of spending time in Koyasan and the pleasure of staying at a Buddhist temple lodging (Kongosanmai-in) before we set off on the four day Kumano kodo pilgrimage trail along the Nakahechi route starting in Tanabe and finishing in Shingu with overnight stay in Takahara, Nonaka, and Yunomine onsen. Thank you for posting such a wonderful video to TH-cam.

Koyasan is cool, I spent the night there and it’s so mystical. Definitely want to go back and take my parents once this COVID problem is resolved and safe to travel again

I went to Koyasan with my mother to show her the true beauty of Japan. We both loved it. We stayed at Ekoin, a temple lodging suitable for English speakers! They offer a night tour of Okunoin (also available in English, which I definitely recommend), a fire ceremony in the morning, Buddhist cuisine and meditation session. If you want the full experience, I recommend this temple, since booking is easy for foreigners (yet pricey, but in the same range as the other temple loding in Koyasan)!

I'm always so stunned by the sheer amount wnd variety of b-roll shots. Incredibly professional man! I liked the part about the cemetery best, didn't know it was so large!

I'd love to buy a blade from Japan but it leads to one question? If I buy a blade from them and If I were to return to America wouldn't I get in trouble to carry a blade I bought from Japan?

My son came back by air from Japan with a cooking knife in his suitcase, and he had no trouble at all.

How do you say Blacksmith in Japanese? What is the Kanji? Asking because my last name is Blacksmith

Blacksmith in Japanese is 鍛冶/かじ (kaji). It is a general term for a blacksmith or the blacksmithing.
