David Crosby was such a good singer, that lots of people forget he was also a great guitarist.
So many great and renowned musicians passing away lately, sad! But it is Norm's birthday and THAT is something to be happy about, because just try to think about a world without Norm and his store and his guitars, wouldn't be the same would it? Happy Birthday Norm!!! Thank you Jen, Michael and everybody else!

Lemmo is the focal point here. Norm you are a gentleman and a scholar for the level of respect you put out for your celebrity customers. I am a life long fan of CSN & CSN&Y many great songs. I am glad to hear that David straightened up late in life. I must admit that I am surprised that David lived to be an old man. Thanks Norm and Thanks Michael. Michael Some day you will be a worldwide sensation and I am humbled to have witnessed your talent at this point in your career. Very sweet! Happy birthday Norm, Enjoy.

My late father had one. Afflicted by the same conditions, the binding and the electrics... he also had a 1958 6124 Single Annie which was bashed up to hell that I had restored and still have. Old Gretsches are great guitars, full of character.

My father got a country gentleman around 1971-2, he’s 85 now and passed it down to me a few weeks back. He met Chet once spending most the day with him at a charity golf course thing Chet even gave him his address saying if you’re ever down there you’re welcome to visit me.

David Crosby is my favorite singer, songwriter, musician. His recent music is excellent also. Give it a listen. He will be missed but he lives on through his music.
I’m lucky enough to be the custodian of a 1965 Gretsch Country Gentleman. I love it 🥰
When I was in high school in the '80s, around '85-'86, there was a kid from school who played music with me and my buddies who would bring a Country Gentleman exactly like this, but in immaculate condition. It was his father's but he was allowed to use it/play it. It was such a gorgeous instrument. I guess his dad really trusted him. Honestly, we all loved that guitar so much we were all very careful with it.
Extraordinary tone. Nothing quite like the Gretsch sound. Listen to The Byrds play "Set You Free This Time," and you can hear David Crosby play a jazzy riff on rhythm. Always loved his guitar playing.

Crosby was a real one. My main guitar is a gretsch from the electromatic series that looks just like like one (with the exception of some knobs and switches and age wear). Glad to have that tiny connection to a real one like David Crosby
