That Helm’s Deep album is my favorite release of 2023 so far. I could go ahead and say I don’t thing anything else is gonna top it, either. It’s sick. I’ve been listening to it nonstop. BTW, it’s not John Gallagher on vocals at all. It’s the guitarist.
I discovered them in 2016/2017 just as I got more into underground metal and fell in love with them. Forever black was great, so was the EP, if this is their final album they definitely went out on top.

Oh, take a look at the opening sequence of Richard Pryor's "Live on the Sunset Strip" (1982). You will see footage of the Whiskey A-Go-Go marquee with none other than Cirith Ungol headlining!

That paradise lost album cover with Elric and stormbringer has to be one of my favorite album covers of all time. You could tell those barbarian guys are just scared. S******* of the power held within stormbringer.
Great album. Would be a real shame if they stopped making new material. There aren't many bands who have returned from such a long hiatus to release albums that measure up to the glory days of yore.

Ironically all the comeback efforts are a lot closer to Paradise Lost than their other 3 classic 1980s Cirith Ungol albums. Considering Robert Garvin seems to dislike Paradise Lost. I really like Paradise Lost. Similar to Doomed Planet with a Paradise Lost production.

Their worst album, sadly. One of the most anticipated releases of the year for me, but big letdown. Forever Black was slightly better, but I think both of them would be forgettable,compared with the 4 first classics.
The band is called “SIRITH” Ungol. If she was speaking of the books it would be right to use the K sound. But she’s talking about the band. Also I still say SELTIK Frost since that is how they said it for the first several years.
You guys either need to start doing a lot more reviews or pick better albums. Like out of all the great albums that have come out recently THIS and deathchant is what you guys decide to review? Smh
