As I understand, that brand of gears was created by some engineers who left Sram.
The latest bikes have gone to Tektro brakes. I believe you will see Shimano gears and another more well known brand of forks in the future.

What’s the go with these? New Zealand company that gets a Chinese company to manufacture a bike to their specs, using all their Chinese parts? But then backed by a proper support network in Australia and NZ? Gotta say this is way too expensive though. You can get a Cube Stereo Hybrid Pro 120 625wh at 99Bikes for 5500. Better specs everywhere you look, for only a little more.

Sometimes you have to ride the bikes to know which is better. The Motinova motor on the Hypersonic has a more intelligent smart mode. It also feels a little more powerful. In NZ, where there are no speed restrictions, the Motinova will assist you up to about 50km/h. The Boosh is always going to be speed limited. The other thing to take into account is back up. Boosh does not want to know you after the bike is about 5 years old. You can still get back up service/parts from Smartmotion bikes that are over 10 years old (4 generations ago).
