Every video that starts with "Top x" or "best x" is stupid and pure clickbait right from the start. You didn't test even a fraction of the bikes available or even know anything about them. The only reason for you making this video (or any video of yours) is to promote your codes / affiliatelinks. God I hate dishonest clickbait youtubers like you.
A tip for anyone looking for ANY type of bike, the colder/snowy seasons the market for these things goes down cause of the weather obviously, and because of that so does the price as businesses wanting to get rid of their inventory so you can often find better deals.
I give it 2 more years before I finally buy one, thanks to all the people with disposable income who are testing AND providing good feedback to eventually create an all-round amazing E-Bike.
I've been looking at electric bikes for over ten years. Just bought a Lectric XP 2.0 on sale $799. Reviews and price helped my decision. Look for a sale or free upgrades
A comment from the land downunder……Australia. I have to agree with your comments with regards to the Aventon Level 2. A really great bike. After seeing many US reviewers, my wife and I purchased 2 x Aventon Level 2 6 weeks ago. A well priced bike and so enjoyable to ride. At 71 years of age it’s fun to be out exercising and knowing that the bike makes it possible to enjoy longer rides.
Great video... A word of warning to potential Velotric purchasers... I got my Discover 1 in October of 2022 and MAN did I love it at first. I had never ridden an ebike, but was super interested in one and a number of TH-cam videos popped up suggesting that. I paid $1,400 and some change out the door. From October to probably early April I put about 1,300 miles on that thing, so I clearly did my fair share of riding, but I have to tell you that if you want a great ebike, you just can't skip on quality, because the problems started arising all at once. The bike is generally difficult and a pain to maintain. If there is an issue with it, it almost seems like it becomes a total mystery in trying to diagnose what is wrong, and even worse for someone like me who isn't too good mechanically. I noticed that screws were coming loose faster than I would think, the tensions on things like the seat, handlebars and chains needing adjusting often, and at one point I literally could not shift into 7th gear (highest gear). I got almost all of these sorted out except that for the life of me I couldn't figure out why my front tire would do a death wobble no matter what I adjusted or reassembled. Push came to shove when after totally normal riding my rear brake light just got STUCK on, like you have to take the battery out to turn it off. I contacted Velotric support and after a bunch of back and forth I was sent a new replacement motor along with an unlisted grainy quality TH-cam video with no narration showing how to install it (which didn't help, I just slowly figured it out). The bike was seemingly fixed until recently when the power began randomly cutting in and out and has gotten progressively worse to the point where it's too frustrating to ride. I also contacted Velotric about this (as I never had this issue prior to the motor controller replacement) and they linked me a Google Drive video (strange) again of just a no narration thing showing how to "properly seat" the battery into the frame, which I have to tell you is clearly not my issue. Given these issues, the poor customer service, weird video links, literally NO local support if you have an issue and the overall, "god damn it, this bike is great when it works but useless when one issue pops up" I gave up on Velotric and my bike is currently up for sale locally. Bottom line, Velotric goes HARD on the social media sponsored stuff and sort of flooded the market on that for a while to get their product known, and it does feel mostly like hype. Maybe they'll grow and get a lot better, but I doubt I'll be purchasing another product from them. I have since purchased the Aventon Level 2 and have high hopes for it. A huge upgrade from what I can tell AND there is local support in my town for repairs of that brand.
Thank you for that update. I would say for the price of bike one, you git your miles, fee people pit thise types of miles on these things. I'd call.that a beater bike. I'd use the new one for long distance and the other to beat on. Did you ever get it going properly?
I got 1 3 weeks ago. No directions , won't turn on, won't charge. Worst bike in 60 yrs. Just sent that junk back. They are the worst company I ever deal.t with. Wouldn't have fed ex pick it back up. Avoid them bad news. Watched several vids. It was a gift for diabetic grandson.
@@beentheredonethat5908 - I did not. I sold it to a couple for $500 and fully explained all of the issues. The guy said it wasn’t an issue and was looking to fix it as is.
I agree on terrible service. Ordered a new Salsa e gravel bike. Arrives un September. From the shop where I do business. Good service. Love my Salsa gravel bike. Grandson was disappointed.
Btw, the Lectric 3.0 is Class 2, and can be downgraded to Class 1 via tweaking the display unit, or upgrade to Class 3 the same way. Just want to clear that up. To use it in Class 3 you’ll need to check with where you are riding it for different laws.
Loved your video. I own an ebike from Ecotric, My bike is just short of 2 years old (1y,11m) and has over 800 miles. I bought an inexpensive bike because I didn't know if I'd really like it or not, I hadn't ridden in 30 years! Turns out, I love it and a big part of it is this bike is a tank! By that I mean it takes a fair amount of abuse in difficult conditions. 50% of my riding is on hilly dirt paths but I've also ridden in snow, beach sand, light mud and 18' brush. I don't do jumps and generally stay below 10 MPH off road. The bike has only needed normal bicycle maintenance outside of one electrical repair. My generation (pre-UL listing) had an issue with a set of power connectors being packaged too closely together. I fixed it easily (zip ties & solder) ; the problem hasn't shown on later bikes. The Facebook group "Ecotric Bicycle Owners' Group" is a great source of detailed knowledge for maintenance and the modifications that enthusiasts like to make. The beach pic shows the barebones bike, the woods bike pic is recent with the Ecotric brand fender & rack kit plus some other mods to fit my use.
Loved your video. You did not talk too fast and the way you viewed the bikes with good angle along with the prizes. Thanks and please keep up with more great videos.
Do Not Use The Loop For Locking! That is the easiest part to cut on this bike. That is just a handle to lift the bike. This video is awesome! Thanks for posting
I bought two of the Philodo H8 for me and my wife. Not on your list but the specs are, two 1000 watt motors with two removable 48 volt 22 Amp hour batteries, one for the front wheel, one for the back. Hydraulic disc brakes on Fat Stubbies, 35 MPH, 62 Miles PAS range, 40 non PAS, comes with phone holder, lights, horn etc. My only wish is that it also had shocks on the rear tire, but a seat post shock absorber aftermarket accessory will mitigate that.
People really need to do their due diligence as to where the bike is made and the safety profile of the company. There is recently a huge uptick of eBikes in China catching on fire. Chemical fires from batteries are no joke and people have been badly injured. Do your research.
I love how some people use over 1000$ on phones that they dont even use to the full potential and then they whine about 1000$ on an ebike that they will actually use if they are not a fat ass.
I fell in love with it after my very first ride on an electric bike. I'm trying to convince my brother to stop riding a traditional bike and sell it to buy an M66X.
one big question i always hit a wall with , with these bikes is, how do you stop anyone robbing them or robbing them off you ?....where i live i would have one of them for about 10 minutes !

Just got an ebike, it has pedal assist and a trigger to motor, it's so badass I'm nervous to ride it. I'm used to riding normal bikes on the sidewalk but this thing goes up to 35mph, so I feel like if I don't ride on the road/in the bike lane, I can get in trouble. But I don't feel safe being on a bike in a road with cars.
I have the O.G. Lectric XP. 3000+ miles battery and motor going strong but I am looking to upgrade. At least 50 miles of range, Front suspension, Class 3+, Under 1500$. Or build my own.
Can’t believe you left off the most basic but important simple specs on all these E-bikes. 1) The Motor Wattage , 250/350/500/750 or 1000w 2/ The Motor Position. Mid mounted or Rear Hub. 10:07 3/ The battery Watt Hours. 400/500/625/750wa which gives some indication of the range.
May have believed this. But my neighbor had a sorry 73. You called the super 73. Price hi . But one of my neighbors got a $2900 e-bike that was faster. My $3299 Grizzly blew it away. People are finding out it’s just a hype to get them sold.. my neighbor wanted to sue 73. He so upset because he paid more money than all of us. And we all blew him out.. 73 got to step it up..
Good list...Aventon makes solid ebikes. I personally really like the Aventon PAce 500 Nextgen which is my current favorite ebike, although the Pace doesn't have a front suspension I don't really need it.
Do you own an ebike or just try to make spare change by getting other people to buy them like Mr. O'Brien? Anyone that thinks these 5 bikes are worth owning obviously hasn't ridden a quality ebike to be able to make a real comparison.
@@brianbassett4379 i own 12 ebikes right now, so I'd say i own an ebike or two, unless you want to make one more additional judgement and tell me my ebikes are not ebikes because they don't have a Bosch mid drive or cost $5k+. Also, you have no idea what bikes I've ridden so please get off your bike high horse. My opinion about these ebikes is for affordable ebikes so I'm not saying these ebikes are the best ebikes across all price points. Not everyone can or wants to spend the money to buy a great quality ebikes but these $1000-2000 ebikes can get someone riding or can change someone's life. So please spare me your bike elitist comment.
@@Top5ebikes since you own a bunch, do you have any recommendations for little legs lol I typically get little boys bikes because adult bikes are too tall for me
I have had a Lektrik for three years. I did get a flat after about one year and I dont ride that much. But I like that it offers as stock, fenders, lights, and a rear carrier. TheVeleloctricis nice looking but you have to assemble the darn thing or pay 168 buks for s technician. It has no fenders, no carrier. By the time you have a basic bike you have spent 1200 or more. Yikes! But I do like the way it looks. I will just keep my Lektrik for another year.
Nice. I need 3 bikes for our family. I have two already, a EUY S4 26ah, and Ridstar 21ah. What should be a third? The EUY was $1450 delivered and Ridstar $1,050. Any suggestions for my third bike? Needs to have same capabilities as other two, and is more for playing around on slightly hilly gravel roads and our level fields. Thanks!
I wish you had done some steep hill climbing tests on each one. I know some electric bikes completely give out on you depending on the grade of the hill. Not sure if that's some kind of safety feature? It really sucks having to drag a 60lb dead bike up hills. I'm looking for a commuter e-bike that can climb some massive hills on the way to work through wine country.
My 15 and 12 year old want an electric bike for Christmas.. I am completely lost at what to get, look for, or anything really lol.. I am six ft tall and my 15 yr old is almost 6’1 and a half and my youngest is almost my height… what would u recommend for their age, etc?? And do these brands have helmets to protect at these speeds?
I spent lots of TIME and had lots of frustration trying to purchase “PARTS “ for my sons last 2 GoTrax scooters Please Make a video with the most common parts and prices available for each brand 🤔.. new category. ‘ best bike where you can find any part and fix it yourself ‘
None of these hold a candle to the KS Stallion! Dual 1000w motors; dual 52V 20amp batteries; full suspension; beautiful smart display; and offroad tires
@@amandaburleson2035 Well yeah, given enough time the same can be said for anything that's insured, but I think it's pertinent to protect your assets. If someone steals that $1000 dollar bike that's not insured, that's gonna suck.
@@amandaburleson2035 yeah, it really depends on the individual's situation. I live in a nice, yuppie kind of suburb. Theft isn't really a huge problem here. I once forgot to shut my garage door when leaving, and it was open all day. I come home, and all of my power tools and everything are still there. For me, the insurance wouldn't be worth it. However, I used to live in downtown Baltimore. If I lived there, and intended to leave my e-bike parked outside, the $20 insurance is incredibly worthwhile because I guarantee that e-bike will be stolen much much faster than 2 years lol
I've been seeing ads for the Biktrix Juggernaut and I'm really interested. Looks like it has high-end cycling components combined with high weight capacity and long range. If you get the chance to do a review on one of those, that would be awesome!
I’m curious about something. All of these electric bikes are supposed to be strong enough to climb a hill. As a result, they tend to have big batteries and a transmission. But what would happen if you made a curved, battery powered motor that fits inside the tire? It would keep climbing foreword and upward as long as the R/C throttle was engaged. So the amount of power would be less than a regular e-bike. It would simply augment the pedal power. The battery would be recharged on a wireless pad, the same way that a phone gets recharged. The tires would have to be a little bigger to hold the device, but it would probably run for a couple of hours. There could be one battery-motor inside the front wheel, and one inside the back.
That would only create issues. There's already wheel driven bikes, but putting the motor inside the tire means it must withstand even more wear and tear from very normal and light usage. I am a bit confused as to why one would desire the motor or battery inside the tire.
Thanks for all your tips they were very helpful in making the decision to purchase the type of ebike i did which was a Philodo AWD thanks again from me and Mr Phil 😂
Hey Mike great video, subscribed. I am 320lbs , but I lose 60 i would be in top condition . I'm a naturally big man. I got heavy when I had to stop athletics due to 2 bad knees. My main activity for years, was mountain biking. So ebikes seem to me to be a perfect solution to my situation. Thing is, i need a very durable, high quality and very powerful ebike. Can you or anyone make a recommendation , not too many items in this world are made for a guy my size even when I'm in shape. My hope is to lose that extra weight pedaling at a light setting . Thank you.
Anyone knows from where can you see these bikes brands in store? from where I live in South California, there are some bike stores have e-bikes, but they are showing only expensive ones, mostly over $2,000; At least LectircXP3 I am aware in Phoenix AZ they do have a show room can test ride, and buy one right away; But how about others? Where can I test ride a budget e-bike under 1,000 and buy one right away if test good? I know they are available shipping online, but as first time buyer of an e-bike, it’s really hard to trust that without a test ride
I know you don’t *want* to shell out over $2k, but anything less than that is usually generic Chinese bikes, sometimes rebranded as “made in America” because they do the final Assembly in the US but ultimately are no better. It’s your risk to buy such a bike. I bought a $4k Gazelle e-bike from a shop and it’s a blast and a genuine car replacement. Also enjoy having the support of the shop for repairing the bike/doing tune-ups
@@romanzapata5511 as the LectircXP3 is made in the USA in Phoenix AZ also in the price range $1~2,000, and RadPower also in this range and not a cheap China made bike. 3/ The battery Watt Hours. 400/500/625/750wa
which gives some indication of the range.
@@Top5ebikes since you own a bunch, do you have any recommendations for little legs lol I typically get little boys bikes because adult bikes are too tall for me
Very well done thanks, please keep them coming.
What is the best e-bike that’s fast with long range?
Thanks!
Nice review. Wish you included weights for all bikes.
What ebikes has 2 motors and you can put 2 batteries on the bike and has the most towing capacity and torque ?
I wish you had done some steep hill climbing tests on each one. I know some electric bikes completely give out on you depending on the grade of the hill. Not sure if that's some kind of safety feature? It really sucks having to drag a 60lb dead bike up hills. I'm looking for a commuter e-bike that can climb some massive hills on the way to work through wine country.
What’s the price on the last two bikes
This is a great review! Thanks for the video!
I spent lots of TIME and had lots of frustration trying to purchase “PARTS “ for my sons last 2 GoTrax scooters
Please Make a video with the most common parts and prices available for each brand 🤔.. new category. ‘ best bike where you can find any part and fix it yourself ‘
None of these hold a candle to the KS Stallion! Dual 1000w motors; dual 52V 20amp batteries; full suspension; beautiful smart display; and offroad tires
Very informative Video! They are all great bikes with good features!
mam pytanie czy nie poradziłby mi Pan czy kupić lepiej Ecobike Maulera jczy Ghost E Teru B advanced
Are any of these water proof?
How about a bike that is comfortable for older people or those with a bad back or overweight. Huge part of our population! You need to review a Day 6!
What would be the best for older lady? Stability is the most important aspect
what is the life expectancy of the battery or a catagory of best battery life top 10.
I have a Velotric Discover 1. It's the best thing ever. Fun fact: You can unlock it to 25mph !!!
Several of them look great. I'd be afraid though to ride one to a store; these would be very tempting theft targets.
Bike insurance is the way to go! Velosurance can get you full theft coverage for like $20 a month! Highly recommend.
@@YizzERR 20 dollars a month for a bike that only costs 1000? not worth is. in two years your gonna payt almost half of a new one
@@amandaburleson2035 Well yeah, given enough time the same can be said for anything that's insured, but I think it's pertinent to protect your assets. If someone steals that $1000 dollar bike that's not insured, that's gonna suck.
@amandaburleson2035 it is worth it if u can't afford 20 a month. u shouldn't own a e bike in the first place. This isn't a necessary purchase
SPECS?? BATTERY TOTAL JUICE IN KW HRS??? MOTOR WATTAGE?
Were these bikes purchased or sponsored?
My grandmother bought one, she's got arthritis, she loves it
I'm excited about getting an e-bike, but I think I'll wait a few years until they operate even better and become more affordable.
Hi I just want to ask a question can I ride the go trax EBE1 if I’m under 16 for age I’m at south California btw
How tall are you... ? I am 6'3" which bike would you suggest for my height...
Anyone have experience with magnum peak t7 or Scout? Have local dealer I can get sick deal on one. Just wondering how good they are.
I never owned an e-bike but I’m interested in getting one just not sure what to get
How do you like the Engwe Mike? I am just starting to look. And dont know much about e bikes yet. Thanks
Please let me know what you think about the Freedare bikes. I have both models and love them
I've been seeing ads for the Biktrix Juggernaut and I'm really interested. Looks like it has high-end cycling components combined with high weight capacity and long range. If you get the chance to do a review on one of those, that would be awesome!
Aventon, I'm eying that next.
How would the motors be affected by the jolts and vibration?
Stay curious!
That would only create issues. There's already wheel driven bikes, but putting the motor inside the tire means it must withstand even more wear and tear from very normal and light usage.
I am a bit confused as to why one would desire the motor or battery inside the tire.
Maybe consider including the prices next time
Nice video. What about Vakole C20? Dual engine folding bike might be beter opion...
Why would you group the best looking and the most durable in the same category?
Compare the new Ride1Up Revv 1 to the Super 73. I think you'll be impressed. 😊
Best under 1000 bucks...
999.99 price
Thank you.
Include best handling too next time pls ❤
Is there a reason that the price was mentioned on the first 3 but not the last 2?
Very Nice, thank you for sharing
Need the price on ALL bikes...
Look em up
You didn't list the pricing for the last 2 bikes. Keep that in mind for future reviews.
Like the last one
Thanks for the really good presentation but try the ebee ebx
Thank you for this!
will you check out the Mokwheel bikes?
Anyone knows from where can you see these bikes brands in store? from where I live in South California, there are some bike stores have e-bikes, but they are showing only expensive ones, mostly over $2,000;
At least LectircXP3 I am aware in Phoenix AZ they do have a show room can test ride, and buy one right away; But how about others?
I believe there should be more choices and can some youtubers do some real reviews of bikes in this price range? ( if not already yet )
I think I see the Schuylkill Trail too.
Guys would you get a e-bike over a car is it better to get a e-bike rather than a car, I want to go to work, I'm 18 and I need transportation, something that can take me anywhere I don't have a driver's license or a car
Great video! I have the Lectric snd Super73RX. Looking to buy a bike with a torque sensor next. On a side note: Im so envious of my kids and the light and long tange ebikes they will have when they are my age.
He's forgetting the KS Stallion in Canada. It's basically an improved Ariel Rider Grizzly
I’m looking for what I call an Apartment Ebike. I’m 60 and of course live in an Apartment. Basically an old school converted into apartments which has no elevator and long flights of stairs. Thus weight is key. I’m olddamnit? :) I’m looking at the Qualisports Nemo.
The yellow one is the best
Lectric has donated so much to many of Mr Beast Philanthropy projects if you want to support a company that gives back ❤️
If you got a folding bike .....that's exactly what it's gonna do if you crash.
Because regular bikes do just fine if a car hits you?
thanks for the information
Fun fast and versatile.
That sounds like an average grindr caption tbh 😂😂
You would know
Thanks!
hva you a tips where i can buy the super 73 e-bike pls answer??
Just came across you channel and my first thought was hey this guy sounds like Nate.
Can get these in uk??
lmao, the extro. I totally understand that feeling.
Ranges?
