I really want to attempt this on my 2014 Hyundai accent I’m experiencing transmission issues. I wanted to try removing the solenoids or testing them. My question is does the whole valve body go bad or is it just certain solenoids that go bad? I don’t want to be waste time if that’s not it. Also when you remove the front end of the car how to do you go about removing the radiator since there’s coolant in there?
My 3.3t Genesis G70 has noticeable harsh 3rd to 2nd automatic downshifts while braking
Aggressive and noticeable downshifts are normal in hyundai transmissions but they’re somehow smooth from the factory
But after about 20000km on the car, the 3rd to 2nd downshift started to be harsh and with an audible clunk (car now has 85k km)
Manual downshift from 3rd to 2nd using the shift paddle is smooth but the automatic downshift is harsh
The downshift is harshest on eco mode, a bit smoother on comfort mode and becomes smoothest on sport mode, but still not perfectly smooth
Resetting the TCU adaptive values with a scan tool solves this problem for about 5000km and then it returns
Changing the transmission oil didn’t help either
It looks like software a issue or a bad learning process because the car only acts harsh on automatic downshift and is fine for a while after the reset
A software update didn’t help either
Genesis corporate couldn’t do anything useful about it, they just keep resetting the adaptive values
Do you have any useful tips about this?
Many many other owners reported to have the same issue
Is there a way to stop the TCU learning? Because the car shifts best after a reset
Or is the only way to get a tuned TCU?
This happens even the fluids get warm
Happens in both cold and hot weather
Does the harness is same for both hyundai and kia for example i have a 2015 kia sportage can i use a harness for Tucson or any other model ?

Excellent video, one question my hyundai elantra 2015 A6GF1 began to fail the transmission for not changing the oil at 115,000 km, the first skidded and the discs of that speed were running out, I started to repair it watching your videos and from other people, I changed all of the Presicion brand and cleaned the valve body and changed some rubber bands although they looked just as good as the new ones, however when cold when I change from R to D it takes about 2 seconds to enter first gear Only when starting the car for the first time in the day and after that everything is normal, what do you think could be the cause of the failure, any solenoid? Although everyone checked the impedance well and if it was a solenoid, which is the one for the first speed, or if you have experience in a similar failure, I also know that there is a kit to repair the oil pressure control repair which is TRANSGO SKA6MF, do you know how to use it or if you can make a video as well, because if it is not the solenoids it could be these partsthanking you in advance for your attention.
