I have quite a few of these but they can be hit or miss with me. . I have a few variations of the ones in your video including a silver XJ13. 550 Spyder and Miura would both look great in my collection
Sweet collection. Some years ago I had that Miura in red and that Cadillac in pink. Beautiful models but them damn rubber bands ate through the paint. I swear, box collectors are something else...
The duesenberg SJ looks so good. The cars do look better than the car culture. The tampos on the car culture that are all grainy are not the best. Who makes your mat? Is it dream customs?
Well by modern standards these are lacking on some details , not many insert for lights as you mentioned and also the wheels yes they're Rubber tires and the rims are not generic but they're all chrome & plain , But when i think of what was avalaible in this segment at the time everything was fitting the fancy toys category except these and of Course Kyosho above everything.
I wouldn’t say that the overall diecast market was better 25 years ago, just that premium Hot Wheels from that era are nicer than contemporary ones. I should have made that more clear.
I agree...older hot wheels specials are much better cars...Now its just become a cash grab with premiums that are no better than some of the Mainlines...One example is a slide street thats all Tampo covered in a cheap way...no hand painted detail at all...i got a Tomica 67 GT fastback with opening doors and hood all hand painted detail awesome model for the same price as a premium !!! and the Hot wheels Skyline doesnt even come close to my Jada Skyline...again same price...
Those are some awesome older looking pieces. It's a shame they don't Make them like that anymore. New subscriber Keep up the good work.👍👍
Thank you!
They are cool looking models.....
100%,oil cans and the boxed sets. I believe are known as the affinity selection, I have a few myself, dig the belly racer, thanks for sharing

I don’t remember. I got it on eBay a long time ago.
I never bought these when new. Too expensive. I have a few dozen now. Prices came way down, so nice to pick up second hand.
Some are cheap now, but some are still crazy expensive. I’d like to add more to my collection.

@@romemancer7905 I love Tomica!
These are nice. But, all they do is make me more disappointed in the current HWs stuff, knowing how badly they've degraded.

Very hard to hear your commentary. Nice cars though.
