I was about to buy the XD 5.0 but, I just decided to get the 5.6l gas engine. I just think that if we’re to get a Cummins it would be the 6.7l. These 5.0l engines are niche and I do enjoy seeing guys get the most out of them.
Best decision you made, i bought one 5 months ago 78k miles, good service record and since I bought it I haven’t put 100 miles on it and it’s currently on the shop with a out of nowhere oil leak in front of the crank turbo actuator might’ve been stuck and it overboosted. Waiting for diagnosis on Tuesday
@@imabebebebe2496 they opened the filter and found some metal. I have it back they wanted to put a new engine without opening that one. Im going to be opening it up in the next few weeks and see whats really up with it.
Questions: 1.) What is involved with swapping out the factory turbos with one of these single turbo options? Specifically I am concerned with eventually have to replace the actuator and getting it programmed when the closest dealership that still works on the Titan XD Diesel is over 200 miles away. I have no real interest in doing a total delete of the truck, just want to know my options if I end up loosing the turbo actuator and can't get it fixed because of how far away the dealership is. 2.) How reliable to you feel these engines are. The internet is full of horror stories and my own truck (that I bought about 3 months ago) is on its second engine due to the original engine developing a knock and having metal chunks in the oil.
i am curious about the info you gave about rebuilding the factory turbos. do you sell any parts for rebuilding the factory turbos. that would be a life saver for someone like me that wants to stay close to stock out here in California. any info help. bad ass products by the way. no one else is doing what you guys are doing.

However, not sure where to start. My truck has about 80k on it now and the EGR cooler was replaced at 68k.
No them and every other company pulled out of any development and support in the platform long time ago. We tried our best to push it into spotlight. Spent tons of time with every main stream company. But with out end user support, and backing it was for nothing.
I’m just curious if I was to purchase this kit would I be able to bolt it in and just go, My engine bay is already a Sea of CFT green, now all I’m missing is the whistle of a Stainless 363 kit
Another question. All is good now, but I heard when/if turbo actuator goes, there's nothing in stock from Nissan to replace. At least a few guys I know couldn't locate one. Is there any alternatives that would be a direct bolt on that is a available if I can't find one from Nissan? Thx!
Unfortunately there is not at this time. We are working on new ones and upgraded factory turbos. We dont have date or pricing for when they will be done.
Question. Could we buy the turbo kit without a turbo? For people who wanna play around with different turbos. I see it’s a 90 degree for the inlet, is it a T4 type base? Or are your kits built specifically with the 4 turbo options?
Hey Josh. Great vid! I installed one of your trans oil thermostats in my '17 XD with 80k miles, and am still getting some shift flare mostly between 2nd -3rd gears. Trans oil temp is within spec range. I did do a transmission flush & replace with Nissan fluid at 60k. Before the fluid change and your thermostat, I wasn't seeing much of any flare. Should I change to another thermostat? I do have a delete & tune but nothing crazy. Any ideas? Thx!
If you are factory stock. Thats beat it be. Only way be better is thru tuning. Theres only one tuning built and developed for it thats only found thru Brad at synthetic offroad.

We do not and still working with companies for factory rebuilt and upgraded turbo options.

It is possible to get the low pressure turbo on the m2 almost down to 1:1 drive pressure ratio.

everything is built onto the turbo. So you have to select a turbo
