- Sometimes when you go into a marina, life gets in the way and you end up staying just a little longer than you had planned. We hit Emerald Bay marina on Great Exuma, and we enjoy all the area has to offer. However, all is not well as Cyndi considers leaving.

We are a travel couple, looking for a non-mainstream life of living aboard a boat and cruising in the Caribbean/Bahamas in Winter, and the Great Lakes in Summer. Working when we can to fill the cruising kitty. We have sold everything we own, and we now own a cruising yacht. We have chosen to do this voyaging in a powerboat/motor vessel, instead of the popular sailing route.
Our mission is to help inspire people to live their dreams earlier in life, instead of waiting until retirement. So often retirement dreams are dashed by health issues or other unforeseen later life circumstances. If you have a dream, then dream, plan, and do it now. if you guys really enjoy fishing. Buy one heavy tackle setup, 80lb rod with a TLD50 reel. When you're underway at any speed put a weighted lure down for wahoo. Wahoo will bite all the way up to 20 knots. They are great eating.
I can't imagine having a big fish on going 20 knots! Might have to try that sometime. Thanks.

Hey Shel, I have the Mavic Mini and really love it. Got a refurbished one from the outlet with the full pro fly more combo for half the price of the Mavic 2. Flies great and the footage is excellent. And Cyndi, you two don't fight because you don't have kids :) See you in the Bahamas in a few.
Love the Mavic Mini. May pick up an Air or Mini as a second backup drone.

We went fishing in that area again, but with no camera. Speared a fish and sharks immediately showed themselves. We got out of the water. 😬

This is a DJI Mavic 2 Pro. I'd recommend any of the DJI drone. The Mavic Air, Mavic Mini, and the Mavic pro. Make sure you only spend as much money as you are willing to loose. 😉
I see you have a similar dinghy as we do. We just bought ours and it an 11'2" Highfield CL340 with a helm that looks a lot like yours. We are looking to install a Garmin 9n ours as well. What model is your garmin and how big is your dinghy.. would you recommend that chart plotter or maybe a different model plz? We a 40 foot MV we plan to cruise the Bahamas with... love the videos! I have been looking at buying a trawler to go to the Bahamas. My only concern is the slow speed. Do you think you guys would be happy with a boat that would have top speed of 7-9 knots? Love the vids! Hope y'all stay well.
Thanks Brad. We would not mind at all if our boat or the next boat only goes 7-9 knots. That is us. We live aboard so we have time. If you are wanting to cover more water quickly because you have other commitments, then speed may be a concern. That said, there are other navigation concerns you will need to be aware of when you have a full displacement trawler. That is you would need to time your passage through the cuts precisely. Sometimes 7 knots isn't enough to make headway safely against the current. There is also the added concern of deeper draft. Everything has a tradeoff.

The song "Here We Go" is a complicated story. Short story is, WILD the band have become a little more well known and have a bigger company they are working with. Though we have paid for the rights, we are getting tired of always disputing copyright claims from them. We love the song and we would love to have them not put claims on our video. If they would ever reply to us we would start using it again. @WILD

Definitely think it’s safer on a boat here,and again you are able to talk with people on the dock....so so much more less isolating, We also have a 26 ‘Bowrider we keep 10 minutes from here,that helps break up the time Been watching your channel

Heart is in great shape. Had as many tests as you could get and they ruled out a heart problem. Looks like it is a mix of Costochondritis and GERD. The Costo is probably due to an old shoulder injury years ago, and just sitting in front of a computer 8-12 hours a day my whole career.

I don’t blame Cyndi for be hesitant to catch the drone! Curious if you have a model recommendation for launching and landing on the boat (from your previous experience/injury). Glad to see your videos again while we wait to catch up to real time adventuring!
Hi onFIREfamily! Looks like you guys are prepping for a big adventure on the Great Loop. Awesome.
For drone recommendations, I'd say anything from DJI. I've flown other things and nothing can fly as well or as effort free as the DJI drones. Some will say the bigger drones are better for the boat, the ones with the legs you can grab out of the air. Though I have a DJI Mavic 2 Pro, I'm always concerned about loosing it along with all the money invested. I'm thinking now, its better to go with the Mavic Air or Mini, I could buy 3 or more of those drones for the price of a Mavic 2 Pro and not so much of a hit to the pocketbook if lost. That said, I have not lost it yet, but I will be picking up a smaller DJI for a spare.
