Being completely fair, Max has all the right to be mad at laura at the beginning, she said she talked to them and that everything was arranged, and she asked "calling leaving a message, what's the difference?" Well, for once, even if you called the place and there were no confirmation, that's worth fu¢k all, it's like going to a hotel and being "Well, I didn't *really* make a reservation, but I messaged you guys on facebook" "Did you get a response?" "Well... No, but I left a message so I thought everything was dealt with"
I was literally waiting for Gab' playthrough as soon as they announced it!!!! LETS GOOOOO I really hope it's supernatural for real this timeeeee, excited for all the upcoming playthroughs too
I LOVE that moment when the music starts at 35:35 it's such a good way to announce the tone of the whole game. Something brutal and intriguing just happened but instead of using this POV, they go for the casual music which is closer to the officer's POV. He knew what was gonna happen, he's not happy about and it actually hurts him... yet something in his behaviour also seems to imply that it's just a run of the mill thing for him. It's simple but so effective
@@DSkulle1 You definitely can. It's actually surprisingly easy. However, the way they're showing it in the game is the wrong method. That's not how you produce the necessary leverage to shear the locking mechanism. But you absolutely can, and it's easy. But people who make games are generally not into locksport, so they don't know how to do it, which is also why lockpicking is completely incorrectly represented in games.
The Quarry has actually the most amount of known or well-known actors from any Supermassive Game. Like 7 of the 9 playable Characters are quite known but the supporting Cast is filled with amazing actors. Really stocked for this.
I gotta say, one of my favorite things about The Quarry so far is that the characters aren't arguing all the time. That was my biggest issue with the Dark Pictures anthology (Little Hope, in particular). It felt like they substituted meaningful conflict with constant bickering, which made the characters completely insufferable. So far, I haven't seen any of that in The Quarry, which has made it a much more pleasant experience, lol.
What doesn’t kill you can indeed traumatically effect you. Like Sean had talked about in his Quarry playthrough so far like losing a limb, or getting your nose cut off as examples. It may not kill you, but it can still traumatically break you. The Quarry feels like an enthralling experience with greater depth than games like Medan, Ashes, and Hope which feel like a portion of a greater experience. Until Dawn is still pretty great all these years later, but I gotta admit The Quarry is a worthy successor that has impressed me so far.
I think its more about if the werewolf doesn't kill you, you will get stronger since ur most likely infected and you will turn into a werewolf. For example, infected Nick literally threw Abi across the room even tho he was still in his human form
Am I the only one who thinks of the Kelly Clarkson song every time the sentence shows 'what doesn't kill you makes you stronger' the song keeps playing in my head
So with newspapers and clues you have to pick it back up after they put it down in order to read what’s on it and for some reason you aren’t able to read it in the menu. Definitely prefer the pick up mechanic of the other games.
@@sabinajoh yea I don’t know why it’s not explained. When I played I was like “WHY CANT I READ ANYTHING” and picked a random newspaper back up and then it let me read what was on it lol. I just don’t understand why you can’t read it the first time they pick it up or why the menu doesn’t let you read what was on the clues in full it just gives like a brief summary. Super odd.
I love how ghosts ALWAYS gotta be weird af. Like why cant the ghost granny just be like "hey have you seen a boy around here?" Instead of creepily whispering "Silas" into some randos ear😂
Thank you for showing the accessibility screen! I've been wondering what options they had to make it more accessible and you're the only person I've watched that's shown it!
For some context, in the US calling someone ma'am can sometimes be an age thing depending on where you are. In the south it's considered a normal sign of respect and isn't significantly age dependent, but in the north it's often tied to being an older woman and can be insulting to some people if they don't consider themselves old enough to be referred to that way.
Even as a US non-southerner I've always felt like ma'am and sir were respectful. Anytime one is used on me it definitely comes off as deference and not as "you're old". Maybe I'm just still young enough not to mind? Idk I've never understood the offense people take to it... (or maybe I see aging as the gift that it is rather than the curse society makes it out to be?)
can be. in the north there's also "miss" where I think in the south I never heard miss, just ma'am. also depends on who's saying it. military personnel are never called out for it anywhere, because its something they are trained to say out of respect. when I lived up north I sometimes had a bit of miffed feelings when I was referred to as ma'am and not miss, but I never said anything because it really doesn't matter XD if anything, the tone matters the most. but when I lived down south I had older people get on my ass for not saying sir or ma'am, like I was trying to be disrespectful, even though I was saying excuse me or have a nice day. just because I didnt tack on the sir or ma'am they'd throw a fit. (also for saying happy holidays instead of Merry Christmas) people just gotta realize and respect that different regions/people say things differently and as long as the intentions are good, who cares?
Supermassive has done well adding more overall accessibility to their games too, it seems! They have difficulty settings for the mechanics and you can extend the timers in this game. I really appreciate that helpful option!
Don't agree, QTEs without warning was what made Until dawn so much more dynamic. Now the QTEs are just slow and you don't have the feeling of surprise anymore. Personally it just takes me out of the experience.
glad i’m not the only one who got cute gay vibes from emma and abigail at the beginning. emma would be the straight girl i would crush on at camp that would flirt back with me constantly but then if questioned she’d say that’s just “how girls talk” lmao.
I was so excited to see Abi and Emma slowly fall in love, but noooooo Emma's gotta be playing around with Jacob's feelings instead. *sigh* my poor guy heart
If you play your cards right and Emma and Abi are alone together near the end of the game and they have a pretty cute conversation. Emma says, "I need you Abi... I'm just scared you'll realize your don't need me." I think the writers were hinting at it 😂, even some of the actors ship it!
1:27 Gab with the Brook laugh 😂 1:00:50 love the reference from Until Dawn. Sam says to Chris near the start "Nice shootin', Tex!" Also, Abi saying "jinkies" is a reference to Scooby Doo obviously and checked and apparently she appeared in a Scooby Doo media at some point.
Recently found you and have been binge-watching Observation Duty the last couple of weeks. When I heard about the game I was so excited for you to play it! I really enjoy playthroughs that arent edited a ton! :D
If anyone, like me, was going crazy with looking for the name of the beautiful song that played in the prologue section, I found it! It is "Hard (Tribute Version)" and I think the artist's name is Akerman and the album is called "Borrowed Luck." It is easy to find here on TH-cam.
46:12 that room had the Temperance Tarot Card in it, you missed. The first one was kinda tricky, 12:26 a lot of people would miss it, THE FOOL Tarot can be found if you walked the opposite way instead of where she’s facing, I love how ironic they placed the Fool card in, because it also means (similar to the hanged man) they also do things differently, means the player is IN A WAY is rebelling because he or she doesn’t just follow what’s all set in front of him or her, he or she expands his/her knowledge by exploring further what’s not seen and discover more (I’m sorry if I explain things this way, I have mild dyslexia so I try my best to be understood) astrologically The Fool symbolizes Aquarius and Uranus, it’s selves are the most unique beings who doesn’t does things traditionally (this applies in many sorts of area not just culturally)
'The Fool' means the start of a new journey, it's the first card in every tarot deck. The 'fool' part of the fool card refers to being naïve and lacking experience, thusly embarking on a journey without fully understanding the difficulties that await you, and so often being optimistic and 'foolish' Tarot is very interpretive, however, and many times a card though it has a 'meaning' assigned to it can mean something slightly different based upon context.
I thought the Fool one was meant to be obvious as I just stumbled into it first try😅 Only now that I realise how difficult it is to spot. I just got lucky lol
The older woman in the caravan plays characters in both The Grudge (the dementia-ridden woman that Karen finds alone in the house) and Child's Play 2 (She's Andy's social worker)! Definitely recognized her from Child's Play.
I was pumped to see Jack upload this but I was even more excited realising you'll be playing it too. If you do 3 playthroughs like for House of Ashes I'll be over the moon
Yes there are big camps like this in US, though they aren't always log cabin style. The one I went to was right alongside a national park so we had some pretty intense rules about wandering off camp property. It did absolutely have the whole mess hall, showers outside the cabin, general store, swimming in the lake, bonfire pit schtick.
Not in the north, in Ohio it’s only Christian ones, 4-H, or FFA. It’s more out west I’m pretty sure especially since I’ve never been allowed due to only having ones I couldn’t go too here.
Fun fact! The signpost with Toledo and Burbank and all of that is an Easter egg from the old TV show M*A*S*H! They had the same signpost in the middle of the medic camp throughout the show (just in a different order). I immediately recognized it when I saw it!
For me, I worked at a "log cabin camp" when I was 13 - 17 but I also attended one when I was in 7th or 8th grade for school for a program called "Outdoor Ed." It was three days long and the teachers took half our year and made half go on M - W be back by 10. The second half of the grade leave W - F leave by Noon, back by 4 on Friday. It was during the school but still had the camp vibes like a "log cabin camp"
I kept seeing this game everywhere, but I said NO! I shall wait until Gab plays it. And the moment has arrived. **sits back with her coffee and enjoys**
When the collar being too big was revealed I literally screamed THE POLICE OFFICER!!! He had a bloody neck probably from the metal parts of the color!!
Whereas I automatically assumed it was the Dog Boy who'd broken out of his cage in the woods years ago and was probably being kept down here in the cellar for some reason. Also, when the policeman fired his gun I thought he wasn't shooting at the wounded man but at the dog boy to make him back away - especially if he's particularly animalistic in terms of his mental capacity. The gunshots might frighten him off. It still doesn't make sense that he'd inject the other woman 'though. Is it to prevent her from getting herself into trouble so the beast would harm her? That doesn't make sense. A simple blow to the head could do that and he had the syringe ready. It feels much more ominous, malicious, even.
@@raphaelperry8159 If the cops intention was to not harm her, then sedating her would be way less dangerous to her health even if the dosage is off a little. If you get knocked out from a blow to the head (if only for a short time), that can actually cause minor brain damage. Getting bonked on the head and knocked out is always played off as no big deal in popular media, but it's dangerous. Also I think he might have had the syringe with him to try and drug the creature and not random people that happended to be in the area. How would he have known about them beforehand?
@@raphaelperry8159 Honestly, getting a concussion ain't that great. Have you seen what it's done to American Football players? smh :v I watched both Sean and Kevin play this and I haven't seen anyone talk about warning shots! Sounds like an interesting theory and I'm really hoping both Max and Laura show up again. As for the ominous feeling, I feel it was dispelled when the police officer shouted into the cellar. It showed that he really just wanted less trouble to deal with and the situation could have been avoided if the kids had just gone to the motel for the night like he had asked.
Yes! I've been waiting for Gab to play this. She's become my go to for horror games (well actually for pretty all story based games) it's just not the same watching someone else

@@never_liked_cornflakes lock picking lawyer on YT, locks only keep honest people out. Vast majority of locks are easily picked or broken and mostly only work because there are easier targets for thieves. Locks which use the classic “U” shape are quite easily broken with two wrenches.

I left my rewind on. Wasn't sure if I should use it when the opportunity first arose. Within ten minutes, all three of my rewinds were gone. I loved this game.
Yeah there's a trick with wrenches and some locks (note: will not work on all locks). You place them like she did and essentially use the leverage from the long handles to break the lock. It takes a decent amount of muscle to pull off in real life, and again doesn't work with all locks. Sometimes even the age of the lock can be a factor. Newer one might be tougher to break.
I love these games. Those tarot cards seem frustratingly hard to find though. Of all the people I've watched playing this(as I don't have the game myself), most are just finding one or two. I think Sean has found the most so far, and that's like 3 or 4. Which is strange, as everyone is taking the time to look everywhere for them. They might be hidden a little too well, lol
SO PUMPED FOR THIS SERIES !! ALSO, the lady who voices and is the face of Kaitlyn is in the Suite life of Zack and Cody so maybe you recognised her from that?
I was trying to get my mind off of the really emotional finale to Amphibia which stars Brenda as the main character, so I decided to watch playthroughs of this new game I've never heard of,,, oof
The tarot lady/ narrator I know from watching Big Love back in the mid 2000s I’m actually rewatching it now. She played the mother of the main guy. Excellent show
Emma's voice actor is Halston Sage, I know her from the show The Orville (Seth McFarlane's show). I really like her as an actress, I'm glad she's in this
As an American resident… yes. Big camps are quite common especially in the south and northwest. And they are laid out abt the same. Log cabins, boathouse, chowhouse, etc…
I absolutely love this game. I could not get enough of it. This is probably the 3rd time I am playing it. But this time its in everyone dies mode. I am so glad this was available in ps plus extra and my husband likes it too. We enjoyed playing it together & just finished until dawn during our days off. Just so good and lots of exploring to do with this game. I would like to see more of supermassive games ❤
I've been watching a few playthroughs so far, and Gab is the only one who seemed to remember the prologue dooms the characters to die and I appreciate that.

So glad you're playing this! Someone already mentioned Lin Shaye, she played psychic/medium in the Insidious movies, she was also the super tanned old lady in There's Something About Mary. The only other actor I recognized was the bigger guy covered in blood that put up the hunting season sign. He's Ethan Suplee, he was in Mallrats, he was the guy who couldn't see the sailboat in the picture at the mall, he was also in Remember The Titans. He's lost a lot of weight and is now super jacked!
Gab pointing out how Kaitlyn sounded familiar made me realize that the VA is Brenda Song who voices Anne Boonchuy and also was in suite life of Zack and Cody :)
I thought Abigail sounded and looked familiar but I was surprised to see it's actually Ariel! Can't wait to finish watching this series now that I know you've finished playing the first round 😄

I went to summer camp like this. Super fun, but can be expensive depending on the camp and how long you stay. My sister worked at a summer camp specifically for underprivileged kids that was essentially free. I worked at a camp that was more bougie and cost around $500/week. Not too bad when you consider that your kid is getting full room and board, 24hr supervision, and access to horses, shooting ranges for archery and rifes, mountain biking, hiking, art class, etc. But still more expensive then many can afford. Regarding its a time honored American tradition to go to summer camp.
DUDE the animation, their faces are INCREIDBLE! I am in LOVE! I loved Until Dawn. I felt House of Ashes was rushed and clunky, but a fun ride, but THIS is what I've been waiting for.
58:20 Yes. Summer camp like this that lasts for a week or so is pretty common, at least in the Pacific NW region of the US, where I’m from. I went (and now send my kids) to a camp on Flathead Lake in Western Montana every summer for my whole childhood. It’s lovely💕
I'm sure this was said in previous comments, but Brenda Song (Kaitlyn) was in Suite Life of Zach and Cody and Suite Life on Deck. Also Wendy Wu, Homecoming Warrior.
The wrench trick is actually pretty well known... I could've sworn that in Sean's playthrough, she said something about it. Maybe that was from picking wrenches right away.
@@Cornbread_ I thought he got different dialogue. I know I picked the hammer and remembered diff dialogue from his but... I've watched 3 people play it and played this far myself so I might be mixing things up 😂
I went to 2 different camps like this in middle school. And my brother went camping in the wilderness (tents and canoes and stuff, no cabins). Some summer camps are just a daytime thing, where you go home each night. I did YMCA summer camp like that for years.
I'm playing it too and it's cool to see your set of choices, this way I can see some different outcomes. I hope it's going to be as good as Until Dawn. Btw the tarot cards you missed were: (spoiler) One in the prologue, as soon as you step down in the forest path as Laura, there's a small pathway on the left that circles back to the circus poster, the card is lying there, and one in the first chapter inside the kitchen of the big lodge while playing as Jacob, before grabbing the bags to leave!
A game like this while we wait next Dark pictures anthology installment it’s thrilling to see finally. Thanks Gab for bringing us the Quarry💚🤍💀 For future playthrough, maybe scooping the car back helps you find a card like the first totem at Until Dawn to maybe foresee a bad choice or first death.
I know who she is but am a first time watcher of Smolders stuff and I'm not disappointed. I've seen many play this game and its nice to see someone not automatically shit on the cop and actually pay attention to the officers logical disposition and mannerisms as not really all that wrong. Her response to max as the boyfriend is more natural and understanding rather than pushing for dominance in the relationship. Smolders seems the most logical, decisive and empathetic player/narrator of this game by far. I think I'm going to enjoy this.
You are the effin’ bomb! I love watching your play throughs. Your “chill horror” style is perfect for this genre. Perfect for a scaredy-cat like me who’s too scared to play these games, but loves watching others play. Keep up the great work!
The voice actor for the tutorials is the voice actor for the Tower of Terror Twilight Zone at Disney. He also voiced the king in “Howl’s Moving Castle”. I met him at a mall, super nice guy. He also did voiceover work for Twilight Zone show in 2019.
There are tons of these sort of summer camps like this in America! With tons of cabins, a little store, those weird bunks. I went to a couple when I was a kid / a preteen!
When I saw it came out, I couldn't wait for you to play this and now here you are, playing it right away! Thank you Gab, this series will be the highlight of the day for a while :) And for the character wise, I like Abi too and I'm not a fan of Jacob because I'm more of Ryan side. I'm excited to see how that's gonna change.
The back and forth banter in this game is better than it is in most Horror films centered around people their age.I liked it alot.Thought it was brilliant!!Dylan,Kaitlyn,Emma,Ryan,Abby,Jacob all really defined and well-written characters.
Having seen him in Star Trek Picard I got SOOO excited to see Evan Evagora's name in the opening credits (AND BRENDA SONG TOO!), and he looks so freakin' cute in this game thus far!

The Quarry has actually the most amount of known or well-known actors from any Supermassive Game. Like 7 of the 9 playable Characters are quite known but the supporting Cast is filled with amazing actors. Really stocked for this.
Let's see if one of them wins Best Actor in 3 years like Rami Malek.
Yeah, the casting crew really put in the work for this game.
"What doesn't kill you, will make you wish it had." Comes to mind
"What doesn't kill you should've tried harder." Also comes to mind
What doesn’t kill you makes you wish you were dead bring me the horizon
(Heath Ledger Joker voice) What doesn't kill you makes you...stranger.
You wanna know how I got these scars? 😊
Don't worry, you will understand the meaning of the line near the end
There are different schools of thought on this, but most people agree that we become stronger despite the hardship not because of it.
What doesn't kill me makes me struggle more than everyone else forever C:
I think its more about if the werewolf doesn't kill you, you will get stronger since ur most likely infected and you will turn into a werewolf.
For example, infected Nick literally threw Abi across the room even tho he was still in his human form
Am I the only one who thinks of the Kelly Clarkson song every time the sentence shows 'what doesn't kill you makes you stronger' the song keeps playing in my head
Oh god it's been haunting me
So with newspapers and clues you have to pick it back up after they put it down in order to read what’s on it and for some reason you aren’t able to read it in the menu. Definitely prefer the pick up mechanic of the other games.
Ohhh!! Ok I could NOT figure this out. I’ll make sure to read everything next time through!
Wait really? Should’ve been in the prologue
Like why cant the ghost granny just be like "hey have you seen a boy around here?"
Instead of creepily whispering "Silas" into some randos ear😂
Thank you for showing the accessibility screen! I've been wondering what options they had to make it more accessible and you're the only person I've watched that's shown it!
For some context, in the US calling someone ma'am can sometimes be an age thing depending on where you are. In the south it's considered a normal sign of respect and isn't significantly age dependent, but in the north it's often tied to being an older woman and can be insulting to some people if they don't consider themselves old enough to be referred to that way.
I'm from Indiana and I called this older gentleman I worked with sir. He flipped on me and said I'm not a sir sirs don't work. Like wtf? Ok?
So far the QTE's seem way better too. No more random buttons popping up without warning. Much more accessible.
Then they're not Quick time events 😂
@@moldorm30 Agree, they're more like "time events." HAHA
Stop trying to make everything gay.
If you play your cards right and Emma and Abi are alone together near the end of the game and they have a pretty cute conversation. Emma says, "I need you Abi... I'm just scared you'll realize your don't need me."
I think the writers were hinting at it 😂, even some of the actors ship it!
Yeah, honestly the whole first scene seemed so romantic and then they suddenly talked about liking guys and it genuinely caught me so off guard.
1:27 Gab with the Brook laugh 😂
1:00:50 love the reference from Until Dawn. Sam says to Chris near the start "Nice shootin', Tex!" Also, Abi saying "jinkies" is a reference to Scooby Doo obviously and checked and apparently she appeared in a Scooby Doo media at some point.
I love that when David Arquette shows up, the music sounds vaguely like Dewey's theme from Scream
I missed that the first time.
The 'fool' part of the fool card refers to being naïve and lacking experience, thusly embarking on a journey without fully understanding the difficulties that await you, and so often being optimistic and 'foolish'
Tarot is very interpretive, however, and many times a card though it has a 'meaning' assigned to it can mean something slightly different based upon context.
I was wondering where the first cards must've been, in all the playthroughs I've watched so far everyone missed them.
It would be a lot easier to read and write if you simply say 'they' instead of 'he or she', thanks for the info though
@@XNyxX Daph found it and shes the only one ive seen thus far get it
I thought the Fool one was meant to be obvious as I just stumbled into it first try😅 Only now that I realise how difficult it is to spot. I just got lucky lol
I live in Upstate NY (where this game takes place) and yes this a a big thing. Summer camps and ones EXACTLY like this. Log cabins, lakes, all of it.
The older woman in the caravan plays characters in both The Grudge (the dementia-ridden woman that Karen finds alone in the house) and Child's Play 2 (She's Andy's social worker)! Definitely recognized her from Child's Play.
She's also in twin peeks
@@OUTTA-TYME88 I know her from The Alienist :D
I was pumped to see Jack upload this but I was even more excited realising you'll be playing it too. If you do 3 playthroughs like for House of Ashes I'll be over the moon
Same!! It's just so nice to watch her playthroughs!
She is a said she would
Agreed. Don’t get me wrong, I like Seán’s play-throughs, but the lovely Evelyn, here, is so calm/chill as she plays…it’s so nice and relaxing.💕💕
@@Triss_Joy yes, always watching Evelyns playthroughs first
I love how she's so calm and Sean is like "AHHHHHHHHHHH"
Yes there are big camps like this in US, though they aren't always log cabin style. The one I went to was right alongside a national park so we had some pretty intense rules about wandering off camp property. It did absolutely have the whole mess hall, showers outside the cabin, general store, swimming in the lake, bonfire pit schtick.
Not in the north, in Ohio it’s only Christian ones, 4-H, or FFA. It’s more out west I’m pretty sure especially since I’ve never been allowed due to only having ones I couldn’t go too here.
Never, there are summer camps a plenty here in the South. We do have the FFA and 4H but there are just your typical "movie" type summer camps as well.
Never, there are summer camps a plenty here in the South. We do have the FFA and 4H but there are just your typical "movie" type summer camps as well.
Fun fact! The signpost with Toledo and Burbank and all of that is an Easter egg from the old TV show M*A*S*H! They had the same signpost in the middle of the medic camp throughout the show (just in a different order). I immediately recognized it when I saw it!
For me, I worked at a "log cabin camp" when I was 13 - 17 but I also attended one when I was in 7th or 8th grade for school for a program called "Outdoor Ed."
It was three days long and the teachers took half our year and made half go on M - W be back by 10.
I'm pretty sure Kaitlyn knew it was Jacob, she was just covering for him since they had been friends for so long.
When the collar being too big was revealed I literally screamed THE POLICE OFFICER!!! He had a bloody neck probably from the metal parts of the color!!
Nah, it's got to be the dog boy all grown up. His cage in the forest was empty
Have you seen what it's done to American Football players? smh :v
I watched both Sean and Kevin play this and I haven't seen anyone talk about warning shots!
They really should have gone to the motel.
I watched the Watcher “Are You Scared” last night where they told this story, and immediately I was on the lookout for this upload!
Yes! I've been waiting for Gab to play this. She's become my go to for horror games (well actually for pretty all story based games) it's just not the same watching someone else
How did I miss this? I didn't know they made another game like Until Dawn!? 😁 Can't wait for your three playthroughs!! I'm so excited!
Like usual I will also watch Seans playthrough, one game but double the fun! 😁
Check out the Dark pictures anthology games, they are all similar, as is Detroit become human.
You actually can break most locks with two wrenches, but usually you need quite a lot of force. Strong lady I guess.
H-how do you know this?

im glad someone finally mentioned that there wasnt anything that pulled him. bugs the crap out of me that theres literally nothing even though they are showing the entire scene. its gotta be a mistake i feel like.
Some common monsters are known to be visible only to some. Could be the case in this game.
I found all other than 2 in my first real run of the game. They do be hidden asf
How many are there? Like 7 or smt?
@@mimi-iv4ck there are 22 😅

I went to summer camp like this. Super fun, but can be expensive depending on the camp and how long you stay. My sister worked at a summer camp specifically for underprivileged kids that was essentially free. I worked at a camp that was more bougie and cost around $500/week. Not too bad when you consider that your kid is getting full room and board, 24hr supervision, and access to horses, shooting ranges for archery and rifes, mountain biking, hiking, art class, etc. But still more expensive then many can afford. Regarding its a time honored American tradition to go to summer camp.

58:20 Yes. Summer camp like this that lasts for a week or so is pretty common, at least in the Pacific NW region of the US, where I’m from. I went (and now send my kids) to a camp on Flathead Lake in Western Montana every summer for my whole childhood. It’s lovely💕
