I agree with you, the main characters acted like children and it got annoying after a while. The author definitely fell short in some parts and almost forgot about certain plot points she made to drive a certain situation and felt like it was just put there unnecessarily

I listened to the audiobook and couldnt barely get through the 1st 3 chapters. I hated Bree's character and how she came of as condescending towards Nathan's gf and she was so childish .
@@nikkisbooknook but apart form that, I think they’re very nice characters. They are both good people. They’re relationship is very sweet, non-toxic, supportive, and genuine. They had good chemistry and were very goofy with each other. Maybe they were acting this way because they genuinely loved each other so much, and it was different to all the other boyfriends/girlfriends they had, and, because it was so special, they were acting like little kids? Giggling and making up ‘cheat sheets’? I think in a way it’s cute, the way they cared about each other so much, and the way they didn’t want to get together because of fear of ruining the friendship. For both of them, the other person was very special and first and forefront their best friend, so it’s only natural they would treat each other differently then any other boyfriend/girlfriend?
Enemies to lovers is my favorite trope to. I recommend "The Enemy"by Sara Adams, The Hating Game by Sally Thorne, The Spanish Love Deception, From Lukov, with love by Mariana Zapata and The Unhoneymonners by Christina Lauren
Same here! Not really a fan of friends to lovers trope for some reason, I don’t really know. Maybe because for me it is lack of thrill and excitement. I do have You and Me in Vacation by Emily Henry in my TBR and I heard this one is so good, so yeah looking forward to read it. ☺️☺️
Read it in one day on the beach at a cottage, perfect for that setting, but totally agree, in any other situation this book disappointed in the second half, like where did the Tide thing even go???

I like The Enemy much more from the same author, because it's an enemys to lovers with the same vibe as The Hating game where the guy has always been lovers and it's good because he has two points of view, and the final development of this book was much better, so if you want to try reading this one, I'd love to know your opinion.

I also have a love hate relationship with the trope of friends to lovers books I much prefer enemies to lovers trope
