Recorded October 23 in Gothenburg Concert Hall - เพลง
In true Mozartian spirit he would've improvised a 15 minute variation over the ringtone
+iwanabana I've seen this happening at a jazz concert.
+vecernicek2 jazz or rock got nothing on this
+Pin Dan Sure, because overwhelming majority of classical musicians have an incredibly hard time improvising over a simple chord progression, not to mention motivic development over a chord progression. Very very few classical musicians can do it and most of those who can are trained in jazz as well.
+iwanabana John Cage would make it into the whole concert
+vecernicek2 Very few...? But how can you be so sure?
This bloke is quite good. We're looking for a piano player for Friday nights at my local pub. He'd be welcome to come for a try out. No promises though.
comment of the day
Hey, it restarted Helfgott's performance career....
All the free darts he can play.
Come to think of it, Helfgott's skill suits a pub
Mysterious Squirrel u made my day. Plus i just read this in the aussie accent
Salieri was calling.
+Edward :)) I knew it!
Edward Salieri ..Damn that's good++++lmao
LOL
Hello Wolfgang. .This is Antonio..
Salieri calling wouldn't be a shock compared to Vladimir Horowitz calling. Shock and awe.
if the Phone can kill someone, it must be a nokia
HardwareFoundry lmfao
HardwareFoundry just came in to see my Galaxy
This guy is damn good! The piano is excellent too.
Yes, he is the best.
Best???? ever heard of someone named Kyrstian zimmerman ??
My compliments to the tuner.
2:56-3:07 the old guy to the right of the performer has the funniest expression ever!
George Solti...............(8^)
bernie sanders lmao
Where was he even looking?!
WHORE OF BABYLON redhead where?
grandpa.exe stopped working
Not so long ago I had to play with my back turned to the audience, it's awful, I hate it and can't understand how it doesn't affect Christian Zacharias. He's a greater pianist than I'll ever be, but still, I cannot understand how you can play like that :D
This is better for direction, here he is the solist and the director at the same time, but it's kinda weird to turn back to the public, i understand.
Amane Suzuha I understand the function of it, yet I couldn't do it. :D
Turning the piano to the side by 90 degrees would be much better in my opinion.^^
I think too, but i'm not a pianist :)
Amane Suzuha Neither am I, I don't deserve this title! :'D
But I have a bit of experience with playing in front of an audience
***** You play piano in front of the audience ? xD
ps : if you like the haydn's concerto that christian Zacharias played in the first video, listen to the Argerich's version, it's just perfect.
0:57 At first I was thinking "How is he pressing every key at the same time?????" But then I realized he was pressing one of the pedals and felt really stupid...
Then I remembered I play the piano and then felt even more stupid.
Haydn seek
Władisław Raginis lol
not bad bro haha
2:03 the hipsters are out tonight
LOL
Is your definition of hipster someone under 30 who wears clothes?
You can tell by the looks on their faces that they are bored to death. They are just pretending to be interested in classical music to seem "cool"
+melman Is that your definition of "clothes"?
Patrick Connelli T shirts? Yeah, that falls under clothes.
I have to say though, notwithstanding the interruptions this is a really good Mozart!
+elifschitz
I agree. It's so full of life and creativity.
He's a brilliant pianist and what a beautiful piano!
Who would win
A classical musician with decades of experience, a true legend
Or...
A noisy boi
10/10 would kill haydn again
0:16 This is the SWEDISH Architecture..theatres and operas cannot vibrate with external events.
+Makus Dhy What do you mean?
Fredrik Wahlgren OH OH
Frost2297 what?
Ikea Square Garden
Nothing in this conversation makes any sense.. :/
No one said this was Haydn. If you read both the description under the video as well as in the video you'll see that this is part 2. Part 1 shows him being interrupted during Haydn, this is his encore, which is Mozart, yes.
Karina Carr So how's 2014 going for ye?
TheGoldenJames lol
Does anyone know of a time where it happened the phone of the conductor, of the pianist or one of the onstage musicians phones started ringing?... just curious
I fell in love with this piano..it sounds perfectly
makes me wonder, if in 5 decades from now, will people be playing this classical music still or will there be concert pianists playing "changes" by Tupac
What a stupid assumption.
This is 300 year old music, there's no reason to think it'll just stop being performed in the next 50 years.
It was actually D-major Rondo by Mozart, not Haydn :-). If somebody was killed, it was Mozart, Haydn stayed alive
MaestroSerge this is the second part ffs
The title of the video itself made me laugh! It's classic vs modern - Haydn killed by cell phone LOL
2:03 you can tell the exact age they were when their parents got bored of them and just totally quit raising them.
Emma Hipster YES 😂😂
And most of that generation unfortunately.
2:07 is that Synyster Gates in the bottom left??
+Steven Vertucci HAHAHA!!!!!!
Street Couple 29 nmjj
How is the piece called?
This gave me so much anxiety, waiting for the song to be ruined by a cell phone.
AGH
Am the only one here that is completely in love with this particular Steinway?
Wow! Was the whole audience this young as in the short audience shot there? This really surprises me! In german classical concerts you see only 1-2 dozen people
I sat here for 5 minutes expecting a phone to go off
yes, the music is nice, but I expected another phone to interrupt him. Oh well. At least the song was nice.
watch part one first
try to smile then
? I didn't hear any cell phones?
+Brendan Hall *sigh* When people ask before they ever bother to THINK
Jahanji huh
+Brendan Hall read the description.
+Jahanji i mean there's a description for a reason why doesn't anyone read the description when it's supposed to describe what is happening in the video incase it's confusing
+Gijs Schenk well it's a part 2 because maybe some people just wants to see what happens afterwards in these situations.
2:57 That old guy's releasing a fart.
And I haven't watched that many concertos; but was surprised to see he was in such a rush to leave the scene? Is it because it was the encore performance? Or just personal preference?
I played as my solo on my saxophone. I enjoyed it
What a lovely sounding piano
so beautiful
I've yet to come to the interruption as I write this, but you just know that it's going to happen. It's a case of when. To quote Nina Conti, "Oh, the anticipation!".
what's the name of that piece
I am really curious about the dislikes. I would really appreciate what people have to 'not like' about this performance. No hard feelings. I just would like to know?
piano really is the most amazing intrument ever
Imagine you had been the one whose phone was ringing.
He is amazing
What is his left hand doing at 4:10?
He's doing mini Rolex time killer.
this is a significant improvement on your first comment
Andrew Miller hahaha! Awesome. Your last comment made me laugh!
Please synchronise the audio with the video.
mirinee it is
I see. The audio appears to lag because the recording equipment is far away and the picture (light) travels faster than sound.
I sure hope you were kidding :D
Chopin was calling
awesome recovery
The titles are so misleading these days... I thought someone was going to call him and a bullet shoots out of the phone giving him a headshot :s
Like from that movie Law Abiding Citizen :D
Amir Al-katib facepalm 🤦♀️
this isn't Haydn.... this is the first Mozart's Rondo.....
+Giuseppe Daniele Part 1 was the Haydn Piano Concerto, which was earlier in the same concert. THis is a second time the phone goes off in the encore.
2:54 what does it say
@@JuanPretorius bro haha this is the encore. The orchestra played haydn with him but this is mozart
@@serendrixsan9191 apologies, I was naive
@@JuanPretorius absolutely no problem! Have a great day, sir.
I didn't herd any phone!
João Maria Vasconcelos Fontes de Barros Taveira 3:08
+João Maria Vasconcelos Fontes de Barros Taveira
That's a LONG LOOOOOOONG NAME YOU HAVE !!!!!!!!!
Phew! What a ride! When does volume two of your name come out?
Puta nome grande
the guy with sun glasses at 3:00 lmfao
™Benush The notes hit him too hard
he's blind
He may be blind!
That guys blind...
Level up with Doruta DIY h
Dude name dropping the guy whose phone rang? Savage
Wait, he is using pedal in Mozart's piece?????
i see guilt 2:05
+Ruben Hinojosa Got anything to back that up with?
+Scott Anthony what does he need to back up?
It's a bit a shitty that he assumed it was the youngsters when lets be honest, no young person would be caught dead with a ringtone like that.
i saw their faces calm down dude
What is this music's name?
W. A. Mozart: Rondo in D major, K.485
darude sandstorm
They really need to just search people in security and collect phones before these concerts.
This is not Haydn, this is Mozart.
i'd get anxiety attacks with my back to all those people like that..
Did he get disturbed again.
Это самая приятная игра на ф-но, которую я слышал. Крастота да и только!
guy in left corner at 2:07, to one that loks like beavis from beavis and butthead is the culprit
1:29 "MY LORD DUDAMEL"
Some parts of the piece sound really similar to Mozart's Eine Kleine Nachtmusik.
rejuksss This is a piece by Mozart
Joseph Patrick Uhhh no?
Joseph Patrick Read the name of the video, it clearly says "Haydn"
rejuksss Its D Major Rondo by Mozart, this is the encore of the concert where a cell phone interupted his Haydn performance. lol
rejuksss do some research before you argue lol
Put cell phone jammers,
Soooooo... Where exactly did the phone ring?
In the actual concert, not in the encore.
Damn man, don't put your Nokia on vibrator mode, just turn it off.
1st phone ring, 2nd an earthquake, 3rd...?
iannickCZ WW3
How much does that piano cost
Roughly $150,000
Ah yes, i bought one at walmart.
Grandmaster Kush Where is it? next to the potato chips?
Might be sold out. There are massive demands for brilliant pianists to be sold. Try ASDA, they usually have human pianists on sale.
why the fuck nobody posted a timecode?
What was that rumbling?
The crowd sitting down
+Cavin Dobson That's not the sound of people sitting down in a concert hall.
+Jørgen Oktober Storm Nestande Thyrum sounds like it to me
Too many folks had the shrimp cocktail before the performance, and their intestines started rumbling.
+Jørgen Oktober Storm Nestande Thyrum
It is true what Cavin Dobson said. Just listen and look how the audience sit.
ma e' Mozart!!!!
+Franco Mandirola E allora
THE MAN IN 3:06 HAHAA IN HIS BEHINDD
Was that thunder? GODS RINGTONE lol
His trills are vile, so slow and uneven
+Matthew Whitehouse they are slow, but i wouldn't say they're vile.
Is this how you usually respond to something so beautiful? Too bad for you!
If I want fast trills, I'll ride a rollercoaster.
good
who the fuck is coughing constantly
Satan was calling lol
Götün abenddd!
sorry this dude is actually quite annoying - OK he has a point but don't stop again and again, maybe once a year not 2 stops in a night - far too many
He was making a joke out of it and you didnt get that!
***** I said he has a point and of course there is a joke in i, but what about all the other hundreds of paying customers who are behaving well and have to endure his endless stops and starts.
This is exactly why, when I go to such events, I shut down my cell phone, remove the battery and place the latter in another pocket!
chrish12345
chrish12345 You're crazy...and clueless!
Why tho he's not even that good
Epicaden365YT shut up
LewdIsao make me
Aidan Abbott make me
He's seriously a fucking hot head who thinks he's that damn good when he's still somewhat an amatuer
A lot of time was put into practicing for this performance, and it shouldn't have been interrupted by a cell phone. I think this was good that he did this. It doesn't matter whether a musician is good or not, no one deserves to be interrupted while putting on a show. You should know because I assume you're a musician as well...
