Bro, excellent job going in-depth on the Art of Fighting. It's definitely a fighting franchise that paved the way for others. Truth be told, the art of fighting would have been better suited as a side-scrolling beat-em-up, but I digress. The story would have done well as an 80s action trilogy, for sure. I happen to own All 3 on AES and all 3 on MVS and rounded out the collection with the limited-run collector's edition that came with the Anthology on PS4. I'll be at GameOn this year, and if you're going, we should link up and play some AES games in the Free-play games and arcades area. This series is a Nostalgia rush. Keep up the Great work, and I can't wait to see what you do next.
Thanks bro! The 3rd one in English is a pricey one. Hopefully a fair priced one will pop up one day. An 80s action trilogy would have been so cool. That’s awesome you have them all on both AES/MVS. I have Anthology for PS2 I might go after the PS4 one day. I’ve never been to GameOn if schedule permits I might have to take a trip I want to start going to different conventions.
The pc-engine version of Art of fighting was a major techincal achievement, on a 1987 hardware, 8-bit cpu, Boys at Hudson Soft knew the hardware inside and out, it was a showcase for the system, amazing technical feat.
Great review. I picked up the anthology on PS4, but you are right: the game is hard (pause 😅). Another SNK game I believe I played on Genesis; if I'm not mistaken, can't you do the King Super Move "reveal" on Genesis also? The SNK continuity is pretty legit and you're right, unheard of in that timeframe.
When I first saw art of young Geese, I thought, “Andy?” Then I read fan discussion that Geese is the biological father of Terry and Andy. There’s hints of this throughout, but then look at Andy in City of the Wolves - dressed just like young Geese…
Oh wow that would make Terry and Andy Rock’s half brothers. That would be a crazy plot twist if they implemented that into the story. I’m looking forward to City of the Wolves it looks really good.
Very thorough as always! Excellent review! Thank you 🙏🏾👌🏾
Thanks!
@4:26 and @7:17 - 😎👍
Well done, #Sir_Ness and Mr. Tiberius "Co-Host!" 🎤🤵🏾♂

Thanks! It’s been a while since I played the genesis version I vaguely remember being able to do King’s “reveal”.
Very cool video! Did not know Art of Fighting and Fatal Fury were connected to each other!!!
Love your channel and this series
Thank you!

Art of Fighting 3 is an expensive one, I hope you get to it one day for a review.
I had an opportunity to pick one up a few years ago. The price has gone up a bit since then hopefully I find one day for a decent price.
@@neo_ness me too buddy the longer we wait the higher it goes 😂
