Thanks for taking the time to do this. I have no idea what half that stuff means in the video settings. I went with your settings, and it looks nice enough and performs great.

Man thank you.. here I was thinking my Pc should be able to run settings at full ultra, I have a 4080 super but held back with my 12th gen CPU. This video has completely changed my visuals and FPS is up at 80-90 fps. So humbling just reverting settings back to medium made such a drastic change. You’re a legend.
Most of the settings that you have said to set "medium" are processor intensive. I upgraded to a Ryzen 7 9800X3D and it can handle ultra with my 4070ti- barely. Make sure you have some muscle under the hood if you want to raise those settings.

Interesting video for me because our peripheries are almost the same, only my screen resolution is a bit higher. I'm going to carefully try it out and see how far I get with it, thanks for sharing your wisdom and success with the hobby and you have another subscriber.👍
Thanks for the video. May I ask you some questions? 1. Why set things like anisotropic filtering and low latency in the NVIDIA control panel when you can set them in-game? 2. What are the reasons behind setting "Texture filtering - Anisotropic Sample Optimization" to "OFF" and "Negative LOD Bias" to "CLAMP" in the control panel?
Hello, sure! 1. I figured out these settings from performance tests with both options. With NVIDIA control panel, I had slightly better frames. 2. These settings are again the best I’ve used in MSFS so far. Sample Optimization does not work well in MSFS and I switched LOD Bias to Clamp after my friend ran some test as well.
Ive heard different optinions of setting LL to Ultra. Not sure whats best. Also...why dont we set Vsyn in Nvidia NCP, and also cap Max FPS there to lets say 72, which is half (50 percent) of my monitors FPS. I think most often you get best results of changing such settings in the NCP. Any reason not to do that in this case? Great video! =) =)
Hello, will the weather, weather quality, drawings and number of frimes be updated, when will the game be released and what are the ideal requirements? Pro
How far do you actually see with the Objects LOD and Terrain LOD that low? Do you see a big difference with those turned down, compared to having it at 250 for example?
Hello, it seems like for some systems it may not have a big effect. I would keep it at a lower value just because you may find yourself flying to an airport scenery with a lot of grass and then it can hit your frames.

You say in the description that you use a Ultrawide 1440p but in the video the max resolution is 2560x1440, so its not Ultrawide, just standard wide (16:9). Ultrawide 1440p would have at least 3440x1440p or 21:9.
I have an LG C2 4K tv that I use for MSFS. I get confused on whether to use the native resolution of 3840 x 2160 for this TV or 4096 x 2160. My TV will now have black borders on the side if I use 3840, I believe. If I use 4096 will the text in the cockpit be blurry and I really should use 3840? Thanks for your help!
Hello, because frame gen is far from perfect. It works fine when looking forward and not moving with the camera. When you move the camera fast, the frame gen just can’t keep up (MSFS is a really heavy game on live data and auto gen). I tested it out as well but it really was better to stick with your own resources for the time being.
I’ve always been confused about this concept but my monitor is 4k resolution and has a refresh rate of 60hz. So should I set my resolution to 3840x2160 in the sim? Will that mean that I’m playing my sim at 4k? Which if that’s the case won’t that impact performance. I have a 3070 and I run my sims resolution at 1440p and it runs smooth but not sure what I should be doing
I would try the same settings and see what your performance is. You should get higher frames than I do so you can step up your settings a notch without any issues.
@@rwyinsight I mean exactly those options that you cannot use, i.e. FG. Well, then I would have to have DX12 mode turned on. And apparently it's defective. What do you think?
That is really weird since these exact settings work for me and mamy others just fine. Try to reset to default and then going one by one to know exactly which option is the problematic one. Thanks
Why in the world would you not activate DX12? It might still be in beta because of frame generation, but it brings a lot of performance enhancements. On top of that, you should say in the title that this is for low-end PCs, you basically have everything set to off or medium.
@@rwyinsight Yes, you should at least try it. I have the Pimax Crystal, and the sharpness is overwhelming. But of course, flying in VR gives limitations, I can’t surf other websides when I’m in the cockpit, so I have to get everything ready in advance of the flight. But the immersion is great!!!
I am sorry to hear that but I have an alternative solution for you. Instead of setting up NVIDIA Control Panel, you can set these settings in Windows and MSFS itself. The point I am trying to prove is that it is better to set the mentioned settings in the Control Panel because of better performance. I think glass cockpit refresh to medium is definetely noticeable.. I would advocate for HIGH, always.
Can notice it in the Comanche. If on medium you don’t see the plugs spark off all the time on the tablet. High and it don’t miss a beat.
