Cool clip! LOL glad to see Scott took off those Etecs…. They wouldn’t shut up about how great those motors are…. Then they instantly remove them soon as the company goes under LOL
It has been two years…can we get a follow up review? It’s all fine and dandy that the application process & aesthetic appeal is good. However, how does the product hold up? Does the anti-fowling characteristics hold up as advertised? Does it discolor overtime, during long-term in water stays? Etc.
Guys, don't take this the wrong way, I'm just trying to help. I have this on my boat, this is not anti-fouling bottom paint. This is NOT for boats that are kept in the water! If you keep your boat in the water you will have to find a way to clean the bottom every couple weeks. I was not told this when I had it done and after 3 months I had growth like it was never painted. Yes, it pressure cleaned off but that's $300 every 3 months. Also, it's clear, which sounds great but when you start to get growth, within a week the bottom of your boat is now yellow/brown and honestly it looks like shit. Don't make the same mistake I made. If you have a trailer and pull your boat every month or so to clean, its ok. If you keep the boat in the water for a weekend here or there, it's fine. If you go to the sandbar every 2 weeks and want to spend your Saturday underwater, brushing the bottom of your boat, knock yourself out. I'm not trying to sound like a jerk, but yeah I'm disappointed. I spent $3500 to put "the latest and greatest" on my boat and should have just had it done in black bottom paint.
Interesting. I keep my boat dry docked indoors, but I usually go about 4 days or so at a time in the water when I use it. Seems like it would be a good idea for me with my storage setup?
First, love the IG feed. How I heard about this. Would be installing this on a 22' Scout in OC, Maryland. The boat would sit in salt water for 7-8 months per season. This would prevent growth, barnacles, etc? No staining?
You would think that the rougher surface would reduce performance over a smoother surface? What kind of numbers/data do you have on that. Are you comparing the Hullmax to a untreated surface that has some scum build up? interesting and beautiful look to it.
The slight, but consistent, texture allows breaking of the boundary layer along the hull thus reducing drag. At least that's what I remember from a physics class I took many decades ago.
@@michiganengineer8621 so much like the vented hull that breaks the surface tension the hull paint takes it a step further to reduce surface tension across the entire hull? Not an engineer you can probably tell!
@@michiganengineer8621 It's a stepped hull so shouldn't air bubbles be doing that already? I would think the performance gains (if any) would only apply to non-stepped hulls.

Scott is one of the best people I have ever met. 🤙🤙
Truly a game changer.

What about applying Hull Max on the Engine Lower Units or any through hull fittings and underwater lights ?
What was that product that he was mentioning that you can touch with you hands that preps the boat? Carriemae? Taylormade? Something made lol? Thanks!
It's in the included package for the Hull maxx application.
How will it work against the tannic staining in the Mississippi River waters?
Very well!
@@CenterConsolesOnly where can I get near Orange Beach AL?

if this is a paid advertisement, and it clearly is.... you NEED to disclose that.
Ask a knowledgeable hull cleaner before you spend the ungodly amount this stuff costs. I don’t know one who recommends Hull Maxx.
Didn’t realize Scott was that wealthy…
I'm in Dubai working maintanance yard luxry yacht. I have one speed boat come like same hull max. Martial suply customer just we r apply just
