I am both a rhino guy, and a cnc artist too. I often cut from mdf because it is easy, but that would probably look really amazing from a wood with some grain, such as redwood. @Gediminas , I'd be happy to cut your designs for you in the future.
excelent work as always! I was wondering if you ever tried to generate the gcode for the CNC from grasshopper and got better results compared to other gcode generator softwares
Hi Gediminas, I'm a parametric designer who recently bought a little CNC machine 20x30cm. I can arrive at the end of this Rhino+Gh video but currently not able to create the gcode, I only have the GRBL software from the CNC machine. Since you are the god of tutorials in our field, do you have any news on this topic? :D@@DesignGoBrr
Really cool tutorial sir 🙌🙌. Sir have you tried AI Assist art nkw a days it tranding. What are your views on AI ART, will that going to help us in architecture to develop concepts and work forward on it to develop cool design???
Yea, it's trending. Just like NFT's were trending and Metaverse was trending. I'm already bored of (the current version of) it. Has the potential to become a very strong tool in next 5-10 years - not at the moment though.
@@DesignGoBrr yes sir yes sir agree. Sir, if possible will you make a video on a workflow of generating AI image and transforming into a real 3d Geometry, maybe in blender or rhino3d. that would be a really really cool thing to explore.
There are 3 types of treatment for outside perimeter of a mesh when using Catmull clark subdivision. I simply used the type which locks the perimeter (doesn't let it get filleted as you saw with other variations.)

This loft idea is so genius!
Thanks! It's pretty useful when dealing with a large amount of geometry

My own micro cnc just arrived, so I'll be able to test out many many different materials ;)
@@DesignGoBrr Ah that's great, best of luck. I used a Shapeoko XXL and a Shopbot 4x8 but i usually stick to the smaller set-up for 3d carving.
I've been searching for how to tweek point distribution that begin with pop 2d and for a while now & I've had no luck. thank you! just what i needed.
also hold escape..... ive been using grasshopper for a year & a half and i just leaned this smh
Happy to hear that! And holding esc works only when the system doesn't fully freeze. Sometimes even the esc functionality freezes

I haven't tried it yet, but (spoiler) will work on it later this summer :)

awesome stuff
thank you teacher
I’m curious if this only works in rectangle base? Or can it be done with 2d random shape too?
I wanna try making this in blender geometry node fields... Will tag you once I'm done!!
Oh cool - this is definitely doable with geo nodes , interested to see what you'll come up with
might be easier to create a displacement map in the shader editor.
Hello, is the weaverbird Plug in still working on rhino 7 ? Do somebody know?
It does. In Rhino 7 run command "PackageManager" , search for Weaverbird, click install, restart rhino and you'll have it :)

HEY GEDIMINAS can you tell me why did u have to use 2 catmull ? in 25:10

Seems like solarpunk is slowly becoming a reality jajajaja
Googled solarpunk - liked what I saw
Did you print it? or cnc it
He said it at the beginning
