I wonder if a molle could be cut to the window size and mound it with strong double sided tape to the glass? I think the space could be more utilized that way. Easier install, cheaper to manufacture and lower list price with possible more sales because the panels don't have to be drilled. Just thinking out loud.
punktexas how big of a spacer in diameter do you suggest? If doing the adhesive on the spacer that’s less surface area than putting it on the molle panel itself. If you are okay with adhesive, why not put the adhesive on the current unit and marry it to the factory trim instead of drilling?
@@jesselambros8520 I'm not an engineer just somebody tossing out ideas because I read so many negative posts about the design. Okay, so how 'bout a spacer about 25mm thick at each corner. Enough room to feed a strap through a molle grid. Glue on one side (to the glass) and screws holes on the other side to attach a molle grid or some type of hook system. Now with the hook system easily removed cleaning is much less of an issue. No need to remove interior panels and drill holes in them. Easier install = higher sales. Less raw materials for product = higher profit per unit. Hook system closer to glass = more efficient use of space. Bottom line is I just convicted myself to just buy some Command Strips and mount my first aid kit on the glass. lol...but your grid definitely looks cooler even though there is wasted space behind it. No hard feeling on my side, I'm just tossing out ideas. Nothing negative towards the company. PS I freely give these ideas to you if by fat chance they are incorporated in any product. Thanks for all the Cherokee parts you guys are producing.
I think that rivnuts would work a lot better and be less work. Not to mention you would be able to take them off if you wanted. I think these look really cool and i would get them if it wasnt so much work with such little gain.
Rivnuts are absolutely an option. However we cannot provide a rivnut installation tool as they range from $50-$75. As long as a customer installs 1/4-20 rivnuts they can use this technique.

I have found more of your products through google and other sites than going to your site and coming here. A link in this video for example would help people get to the product in the video. :)
You can literally never wash that window lol. I personally would change your hardware so it had a nuts in front setup with a flush fitting bolt so you could take the panel off. Just my opinion.
cory legend the technique used is to clean the window first, install the panel, then install all your gear onto the panel. Really no reason to clean it afterwards since it’s already tinted so you can’t really see inside, plus the panel and gear mounted to it prevent you from seeing out of it.
They work in all years. You just have to choose the configuration at checkout for the model year you want to purchase for. Hope this answers your question!
We thought ahead in situations like this! It comes with textured plastic matching plugs that look identical to the factory trim that will cover up the holes. If you take the panels out, you put these in the holes drilled.... and it looks as good as if not better than OEM.

All of this for an unnecessary guizmo, gona spend my money on something else.....
