Travel from Turkey to Iran by train | Ankara to Tabriz Overnight train journey - Railwaystories

  • This is the vlog of my amazing train journey from Ankara, Turkey to Tarbriz, Iran. The journey started in Ankara, where I took the train for Tatvan. It was a 24 hours long journey. Trains are fantastic means of transport across Turkey. The Turkish railroad is operated by the national government. A private first-class sleeper compartment for one or two on routes joining major tourist destinations provides Orient Express luxury experience. In this video, I will be giving a tour of the train I traveled in from Ankara. I will show you how the first class cabin in Turkish train looks like. What facilities and amenities you get in the cabin. Overall, it was a beautiful Journey by train passing through countryside, small villages and beautiful landscapes of mountains of Turkey.
    Thank you for watching!

I had the chance to get a train trip from Damascus to Aleppo in early 2011 just few months before war began. Once I arrived in Aleppo railway station I realized there was the chance to go in Iran by train and of course it got quickly into something unreal to do but after 10 years you made my wish come true!

I love these travel videos and enjoy them very much. I have a request to make. when you are passing some towns and cities can you please put the names of these towns for us to know which areas the train passes through. I am a blue-blooded Railwayman's daughter and have lived in a railway colony just in front of the railway tracks and have literally grown up with the sounds of trains passing through.

Hi! What a great and insightful video! I wanted to ask you, I’m planning a trip to Iran and I just found out thanks to your video that there is a train from Turkey to Iran which is great!
But my question is, did they stamp your passport? I have been reading online that Iran no longer stamps foreign passports entry/departure and visas are given in a separate document. I read somewhere else that at the airports in Tehran, Shiraz and other city where the major airports are have been doing that for some years. Is it the same case when crossing the border by land? Because if they do, then I rather taking a flight from Istanbul 😬Any insight is be much appreciated! 🙏

I did enter Iran both with train and plane. I did check my old passport now, and I couldn't find any iranian stamps. But I'm not 100 % sure.

    • @Railwaystories
