I've got a couple of things to say: 1. You often mention that reading improves speaking skills, but as a linguistics major, I can tell you that listening is actually the key to language development (based on science). Infants and we all learn language primarily through listening, and it's the most proven way to become proficient in any language. Reading can still help but I would say it improves writing more. 2. I'm wondering how, as a bookworm, you've stuck to pretty basic books that aren't all that great. I'm basing this on the titles u've mentioned and the books you've shown. There's a whole world of literature out there for u to explore, and I'm curious if you've just started reading or don't read much. 3. Are you sure u wanna suggest Shakespeare? The guy has his own language system that even native speakers struggle with. That's why you often see simplified versions of his stuff, and those can still be pretty tough to get through.
the point of this video was to introduce people to reading, the books mentionned are for starters but they don't necessarily reflect my interests or personal favourite reads. Though i'd like to thank you for your imput and advice
Thank you for sharing this valuable content. It's a thought-provoking journey into the depths of human thought, and I can't wait to explore more on this topic. Keep up the great work!♥
I've always wanted to start reading books but language was an obstacle for me as I couldn't unsderstand what the book was talking about , I kept trying to understand but sadly I didn't , at the end I stopped , but after watching this video I guess I'll try again , Thank uu :))
Paulo coelho is overrated & i’ve read all of his books. I’m not saying that he’s not an interesting writer, of course he is. But compared to other writers who didnt get the fame they deserve, he’s not special 🤷🏻♀️
I just love listening to her speaking
