I studied Spanish in B.A. 14 years ago. I stayed for a month with a woman in Palermo. One of the best cultural experiences of my life. Argentina is a great place to visit.

However Argentina isn't just old mediterranean architecture, it's like a modern and major European city (as in more recent from colonial spain). Mexico has cities that look like its own kind of thing of thing with older spanish style architecture.

Mexico has modern cities in general, Buenos Aires looks more like paris than anything, Mexico City is full of modern and old, but doesn't look European as a whole.

It has always been my dream to travel Argentina & South America. Since my childhood i always dreamt of going to Argentina, i used to take out my Atlas & keeps looking at South American map (especailly Arhentina) now i'am 23 life is busy these days so i forgot many of the towns & Cities of Argentina but i still remember some places which i read in map like Buenos Aires,La Plata,Mendoza, Falkland islands,Rio Negro etc. If i ever get chance & have enough money in future i'am surely travelling to Argentina & hope for South America trip if possible & as i like football & knows Boca Juniors i surely will visit La Bombanera & Estadio Monumental. If anyone travelled to Argentina it will be helpful to give some ideas about travel expenses for Argentina in a low budget.

You're young. Argentina is cheap. Take a year off and travel. If need be, you can take odd jobs along the way--teach English. Maybe prep your trip by learning some Spanish!

Loved Buenos Aires during my year in South America. It was the most luxurious, developed city in the Americas. The people were smart and stylish and fast thinking. The food was always delicious. I liked it so much, I kept coming back---3 times in total--to decompress from the other countries. I definitely want to visit again!

How much i miss Buenos Aires
I've been in Buenos Aires, but just a few days, the city really exceeded my expectations... I mean, im german, and you may hear bad things about South America (insecurity, poverty, etc, etc) but once you're in Buenos Aires you find a city that clearly doesn't meet this qualities.
Buenos Aires really surprised me, because is almost a european city, reminds me to Rome or Milan, in fact, every argentinian has a italian last name, and (idk if this is appropiate) they are mostly whites. lol
***** Para estar cerca de los niveles de desarrollo europeos, tenés que estar rodeado de países "europeos". No es lo mismo tener de vecino a Bolivia; perú y Paraguay, que a Alemania, Holanda y Bélgica.
