Tania: beautiful videos of Kyiv. After the war you could be a travel advisor to people wanting to visit there. Ukraine is on my list as the first stop.
Tania , another beautiful vlog of your life in beautiful Kyiv ! have been following you for a wile , and i cant wait for Ukraine to win , and then for sure ill come to visit and celebrate your new and glorious beginning . for sure i will ask you to recommend some places for me to see and visit . Slava Ukraini !! Andy from USA . 💙💛
Hey Andy! Thank you for such warm words. For sure, I will be happy to recommend places in Ukraine the same as to show them in my vlogs. Heroyam Slava! 🇺🇦
Yes we have that type of opener here, although it is not so common anymore. This was a lovely video showing us around Kyiv, I loved the part with the people dancing in the Metro, what a lovely way to meet up with friends and enjoy life, especially with the way things are in Ukraine. Stay safe and keep making beautiful videos Slava Ukraine 🇺🇦💙💛🏴
I love your videos, it shows. That Despite all the Daily suffering that you and your People are going through. Ukraine is STILL an Independent Country. Nothing will change that, SLAVA UKRAINI! 💪🇺🇦
Hi Tania ,first time i had sour cream was in Lviv ,it was good can not wait to get back soon,i like to visit Kyiv as well this time ,hopefully your going on the train to Lviv so i can see what it like, take care stay warm and safe💙💛
That sounds great, come to visit Kyiv in spring/summer: Dnipro river, parks, rooftops, terraces. I will travel by car to Lviv, but the Ukrainian railway train (the new one with sitting seats) from Lviv to Kyiv is great with tasty coffee and pastries.
As a child we had such a tin/ bottle openers in England, 🇬🇧 I have been to Ukraine in the winter & summer months, it is a beautiful country and recommend you visit it when possible 👍🇧🇧
Yes you have to have a lot of sour cream with them! I love sour cream! Especially on a baked potato with chives,, butter, and bacon bits and sour cream! Try it sometime!
I came back last Saturday from Kyiv, its absolutely stunning city ,its very cold there ,,my friends said this is normal ,motherland and the arch Bridge are stunning, it's like having a city in the woods
@TaniaKovba yes had a fabulous time ,I videoed the Russian strikes ,barbaric is not the word, on apartment blocks, I felt so disgusted and helpless at the same time Only went to one bar ,I've heard ,kyiv as a brilliant nightlife, take care hun
You can still buy that old type of can opener in the UK. The other side is used to open bottles with a crown cap. I have both in my kitchen drawer and I think the old type works better on large cans than the more modern rotary type. I have a friend who is a refugee from Ukraine and she said she would show me how to make holubtsi.
The kind of pizza you made is called “Lazy Pizza”, at least where I live. I have seen that style of can opener in Canada and the USA , it’s considered old fashioned but very reliable. There are many different devices available to open jars. Take care and hope you will be safe.
We used to have an opener like that. It could be used like you did to open a lid. We used to use the sharp pointed end to open tin cans a couple of ways. Either to puncture it to make a triangular opening at the edge of canned milk to pour it. Or, to run it around the edge of the can to make a complete opening to get vegetables out if you didn't have a hand operated opener or electric. I haven't seen one in use in a very long time.
You were spot on with that garlic bread. I'll layer my bread with butter and chopped garlic and drizzle a little olive oil, then top with parmesan cheese (415f for 10 minutes) Btw I'm having that potato dish in a pot that you previously filmed about 2 times a week. Great cold weather food. Also, I have seen can openers that looked like what you had.
never seen an opener like that before either or a lid that comes off a glass canned jar like that. maybe opinel (french) judging by handle and ferule? you are a brave & bright young human.
Aw damn! I was relaxing back in my sofa watching the vid & it ends! You are are a great diplomat for your country. Your Presidents birthday yesterday, 24/01/23. Capricorn star sign, like me! I am not going to list the great qualities cos I am too modest! (Not) Happy there are no blackouts. Please drop another Vlog soon. Stay warm & safe!
I have always known that as French bread pizza in the US. You can make it yourself of course or buy premade frozen versions. I’ve seen that style of can opener before but it’s pretty rare. I would say most Americans have an electric can opener or a manual version that looks similar to a pair of pliers with a crank or twist knob on the side. Seems like a can opener is required less and less as more cans have pull tops. Regarding winter we have snow in north east Ohio and a few days ago temps were 2F (-16C).
so you also have a real winter😀 now I understand why many people abroad don't need that kind of opener because they have other lids on the jars (easier to open). most Ukrainians preserve food with such lids as tomato juice in my video. anyway, I have to look for an electric can opener
Just came across your video and I find it fascinating. I’m from Perth australia and I’ve never seen snow, would like to one day travel to Ukraine to see that beautiful country ❤❤🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦
Tania, hi dear friend, Good to see you alive and well especially as its winter, now all the festivities are over life can get back to normal well as normal with a war going on, Super video, Super city of freedom, its wonderful to see life goes on, Take care please my friend, SLAVA UKRAINA, ✨️✌️👍💯🙂💙💛🌻🇺🇦
Hi Tania, in the UK you may be able to find one of those openers in an antique shop? I only ever use screw down lids for preserving. Does your mother have a special machine to put the lids on? It would be interesting to see how it's done? The blade for opening cans is a little more familiar though 😃
Just found you I’m Scottish and I hate what the Russian imperialism is doing in your beautiful country I’m a big watcher of Anna from Ukraine stay strong stay safe but most of all stay Ukraine 🇺🇦🏴slava Ukraine

Unfortunately it’ll never happen. If you only knew just how terrible things truly are and how evil ruZZia really is… Just earlier today I watched a video that had a clip of a young ruZZian lad who couldn’t have been more than 19 or 20 years old (the clip was recorded by rt news for the ruZZian network and audience), and what was coming out of his mouth was some of the most appalling and disturbing verbal diarrhea one could ever possibly produce. He started out by saying that he wants to join the ruZZian army as a contract soldier for the sole purpose to make money and “not get in trouble” for “the enjoyment of killing and torturing people for fun”… I kid you not! And it only got a lot worse from there when referring to the Ukrainian people, all while the kid was talking in a completely neutral and non offensive manner or tone… 🤦♂️ 🤮 😡 I urge you to find that clip (it shouldn’t be hard to search for), as well as educate yourself about what “they” truly are. I can say for certain that they aren’t like the rest of humanity. Not in any way, shape, or form - period.
This is the worst position - neutrality and "Let them be friends". russians are aggressors, they invaded Ukraine barbarically, they want to destroy everything ukrainian and have no plans to stop on Ukraine. regular russians celebrate on social media (we see it) when missiles hit residential buildings killing Ukrainian children and civilians. there are black and white, no grey in this war. and by the way, russians live in peace and harmony. horrible war is happening in the Ukrainian land
