Well, don't compare us apartments to Ukraine. There are definitely wallpapers. You cannot paint wallpapers unless you are out of your mind. And once you gonna start removing them, - you will find tons of surprises. Renovations in those building could be super expensive. And you might also need to follow some architectural codes to make it right way. Plus those houses have wood floors and not made of concrete. So many "but's".

All are interesting places to look at. I've been to Bulgaria and Georgia many times. Both are nice places to visit, or live short term, but no where as technologically advanced as Kyiv. Culture wise, I much prefer Ukraine as well.

At 5.01, if it were me, I would have the bed rotated the other way so that the head is in the corner next to the window. The closet on the same wall of the bed could be on the opposite wall, which would allow for more overall space in the middle of the room. The desk position is great though. Also in the other room, I like how you plan to use the windowsill as a desk. The only problem I would have is that with the radiator being where your legs are, it could scald you if you need to turn it on in the winter.

The light switch is for the resident mouse (Ivan)...no seriously one piece of furniture you could look at is a sofa bed and maybe have the 2nd bedroom as a gentleman's dressing room/office..also look at reperposing household items things that weren't made for that purpose i.e collander as a lamp shade🤔...and go to flea markets you'll get some GRT stuff there and probably better quality than new...if you like your morning coffee then old coffee grinders and old coffee perculotors are amazing and look good in your kitchen... GRT apartment though Jonny and a chic area,drink,eat and people watch👍.....

I think the switch on the floor is so that if you come through the front door with your hands full, you can kick the switch to get some light.
That would make sense if it was near the front door, but this is in the living room. =)
