By the way, as per comments on chain link fence, Ive read other articles on concrete, they mentioned any structure to reinforce(including chain link fence) will strengthen the concrete. When my neighbor redid his back patio, the contractors found barbed-wire as reinforcement when they tore out the old concrete....hahahah go figure.
I think it looks all right for what it's used for. I would have liked to have gotten a better finish on it and I would have liked to have got it smoother. The day before the weather forecast was sunny all the way through and an hour into the project the forecast changed to rain in the afternoon so we had to hurry.
SAW cut it across the middle horizontally before it cracks that way when it does crack it happens inside the cut doesnt need to be deep just an inch or so
We're considering it. The slab that this one is connected to has no expansion joints in it and has some random cracking so there is some temptation to let this one have random cracking as well to match.

I've gotten some pretty hateful messages for doing this project so I don't want to disclose my exact location. We're in the Pacific Northwest. I'm not concerned for my own safety but I think some folks would show up and break the thing into a bunch of pieces just to prove a point. 🤣🤣🤣
Nope looks don't matter at all. If we decide to sell this house in the future we will have all the slabs resurfaced. The original slab that this one connects to is full of cracks.

Yes it is. We will be doing an update video around March 22nd when winter ends.
