Gizmo is a legend. She facilitated so much learning and growth of the gecko keeping community! Because of her, we made so many changes to our own two geckos tanks! Rest easy baby!
RIP Gizmo, she will be remembered. You and Gizmo inspired me on to the journey of keeping reptiles. I got a female leopard gecko as well as my first reptile. You are an excellent owner and you taught me on taking care of them. Thank you and take care ❤
When I was a younger kid I remember watching your videos with Gizmo, you began my journey into researching leopard geckos and now I am a breeder who's focusing on repairing genetics that have been ruined by poor breeding. Gizmo was truly an inspiration and will continue to be for as long as people have TH-cam, rest in peace Gizmo🕊️
My condolences... You did your best and gave Gizmo the best you could. 18 years is a long time. I'm sure Gizmo knows and appreciated all you did for her. Thank you for sharing your experiences with her with us.
Gizmo was a little angel and bundle of joy under your loving care! You and Gizmo were a perfect team and have helped so many people including me to understand geckos, how they behave, their requirements, and SOOOOOOO much more. Whenever you put out a video, I smile to myself and say "Yay!" Thank you for everything that you do and may Gizmo rest in peace and be loved forever by those who learned from her 🥹🥹🥹❤🦎❤
I’m very sorry for your Gizmo. Such a gorgeous little friend. An animal in the wild that would most likely gotten eaten by a bird got to experience a life of love. That’s very special
Gizmo will be very missed. Watching your channel and seeing Gizmo is what made me decide to research a bunch and get my own gecko - Sunny. This has made me appreciate my own gecko so so much more. Rest well Gizmo!
I’m so sorry for your loss, I was crying watching this because I can relate. My female gecko passed a while ago and she was my first ever. Your videos have helped me so much with her and now I have another leopard gecko and 1 AFT so I know what you mean about the obsession and passion. It always starts with the one. Gizmo is an angel and so are you for helping us all. May she rest in peace 💙
I think one of the only exceptions to the “inevitably ending in heartache” rule is actually one of my pets, squirtle. He’s a tortoise. Specifically a sulcata. Their lifespan is actually far longer than the average human. About 100 years or more, and I’ve actually had him since he was a baby. So essentially as long as they don’t get sick they’re gonna be the ones missing you, not the other way around. 🙃 Also RIP gizmo. 💛 I’ve dealt with pet deaths, it’s always awful. In fact here recently my rat, Ray just passed. Rats are amazing companions the only problem with them is the fact that they’re such short lived animals. You have to attend a tiny funeral every three years and it’s just exhausting emotionally. But even so all you can do is try to remember the good times and move on :)
Gizmo will always be remembered! She was the first gecko that sparked my passion for reptiles (especially leopard geckos), and I have my own girl now!! She has taught me so much, and I'm certain she taught many others as well. She will always be iconic. Rest well Gizmo 💞💞
So sorry for your loss, never easy losing a little family member! She clearly had an amazing life, and of course that’s something you should be proud of 💜
Giz has left such a strong and immense legacy, touching the lives of so many geckos through your channel. Every gecko who has gotten care based on your videos carries Gizmo's legacy forward with them, into infinity. Because of the channel, all of my own babies got the best knowledge put into their care right out the gate. Rest easy Gizmo, and thank you.
I’m on my second Leopard Gecko. I lost my first one after 10 years. I was heart-broken too. I wanted to let you know that I have learned so much from you and gizmo over the years! Thank you! Sorry for your loss.
I watched many of your videos before getting any of my reptiles. I’m sorry to hear about your loss but know that Gizmo taught so many people so much. There are so many happy and well loved reptiles because of you and Gizmo!
RIP to Gizmo. 3 years ago I got my first leopard gecko and named him after ur gecko Gizmo and your channel helped me learn about geckos 1 year before I got him so in a way you and gizmo helped me a lot over the last 4 years so I hope she rests well.
So sorry for your loss… you took such good care of Gizmo. She lived a long, happy life! Because of your channel, you have helped me with the care for my leopard gecko, your channel is packed full of great educational information about these lovely little creatures. May Gizmo rest in peace. ❤️
Oh I love Gizmo😢 I am so sorry she has left this world. You took such good care of her and she taught me a lot about Geckos 😊 The next few months will be difficult but you gave her a long and wonderful life 💜💜 RIP Gizmo 💔
I loved gizmo so much… she helped me with so much advice for my leopard gecko, and without that, i wouldn’t be about to get another leopard gecko on saturday!
Gizmo was a legend! Who of gecko parents don't know her ? She had wonderful life and I'm sure she still watches her lovely home from the otherside. R.I.P. little Gizmo.
Gizmo helped inspire me to get my first leo who I absolutely adore and I’m sure countless other people too. Gizmo had a stress free life of optimal care and love she was a very lucky gecko, you did a great job. I don’t know how it all works but a part of me thinks we’ll get to be with our reptile friends again one day. ❤️🙏
That’s a very thoughtful, insightful, and meaningful tribute to a gecko that has enabled you to teach so many people - myself included - a lot about these wonderful animals. Thank you for sharing so much of her life with us.
Rest in peace little Gizmo. She definitely helped me learn about what amazing creatures leopard geckos are. I adopted a female rescue gecko in 2017 and watched this channel for months leading up to it. I’m glad I got to witness a bit of Gizmo’s life. She lived a long and full life with someone who loved her dearly ❤
I have just decided to acquire a female leopard gheko. Come accross this channel and watching this video has been helpful. Sorry for your loss, I had a Tarantula for 16 years and it was gutting when she passed. I hope you still keep the channel going!
Went through a similar thing, in early October with our 18YO dachshund. So sorry, but Gizmo lived such a rich existence. You were incredibly blessed, as well. As were all of us who have benefitted from your many YT videos. Imagine if you had never had a reptile and had never created this channel. Gizmo's ripples spread far and wide!
Aww im sorry to hear that. I've concluded that (and im sure you'll feel the same), even though they both lived 18 years, there's never enough years that will satisfy us, ya no. I should be happy we had so many years together, but selfishly i wish we had more.
@ Thanks. I think I will stick with reptiles and inverts from here on out. I tentatively have my eyes set on vinegaroons for next spring. For now we are taking a pet break. As always I look forward to your next video!
Awww, I'm sorry that happened. I hope you'll feel better. I know how you feel losing your lizard because I've lost a few and cried, and we will remember Gizmo😔
You and Gizmo are legends for us the reptile lovers I’ve learned everything I know on how to take care of my leopard gecko from you and watching your beautiful reptile family, and I’m so thankful for you and your channel, I know it must be so sad no seeing her everyday but you gave her the best happy, healthy and long life that she could ever dream of and that reflects the beauty inside you ❤
Poor Gizmo, every pet owners nightmare is age. You gave her one of the best life a gecko could ask for, and you should keep that in mind. It's such a massive loss, I've been watching you for years, I remember finding you on the petco/petsmart video. I hope your doing well now.
I’m sorry for your loss. Gizmo will always have a legacy of being a loved pet and helping teach others about leopard geckos! I remember watching your channel in helping me research for my gecko, Gobi. I believe it was her, ziggy, Minnie, and Diego that you had at the time!
Gizmo and you are the ones who taught me so much of what I know today to take care of my Leos that Ive had. I still have my sweatshirt with gizmo on it, and proudly wear it cause it looks like my baby girl Kira. I can’t thank Gizmo enough for her service to our community as well as you. Will be wearing my sweatshirt in honour of gizmo today ❤
Awwww, im so sorry for your loss. Ive been watching your videos for a couple months now and i named my first leapord gecko gizmo too after watching all of your videos. He will be remembered forever in our hearts 💕 💞
so sorry for your loss, Gizmo had the best owner and the best care. The pair of you inspired me to get my boy Dexter and I don't think I would be caring for my own gecko if it wasn't for you both.
Thank you, Gizmo! You inspired your mama to make these videos and share her love of leopard geckos with the world. I'm so incredibly thankful for Gizmo and her awesome mama for all I've learned. I just got my first ever reptile a month ago and have absolutely loved every second. With absolutely ZERO experience with reptiles, I was so nervous, wanting to give my new pet leopard gecko the best life, and have only found that confidence from your wealth of knowledge. One day when Rafiki is old and strong enough, I hope to make her my classroom pet, so we can share how awesome these reptiles are with the many students that come through my room. May Gizmo rest in peace and we're sending love and hugs from Pennsylvania, US.
I am so sorry for your loss, and I am glad that you two had the time together that you did. Gizmo was lucky to be so well cared for, and I know that you got a lot out of that bond, too.
Man, brings me back. I used to watch you when your channel was new. I can relate in a similar way as we had to euthanize my childhood dog around the time you made this video. He was 15 with cancer, he lived a wonderful life. It’s hard when they become your family, but take heart in knowing that you were the BEST owner to her.
I totally understand how you feel my 19 You're old girl has been gone for 2 years now. 😢 19 years of watching her grow. Past 2 years ago Christmas night.
Rest in peace Gizmo! Or as I would call her when I saw her in your vids, gizzy. The best thing we can hope for with pets is they make it to old age, and Gizmo did just that. She's up there eating her favorite bugs now.
Sorry for your loss but you gave gizmo an amazing life something to be very proud of and you will always have these videos and memories to look back on
No way! I still come to see your videos! And Honestly you and Gizmo, are the reason I got into repitles. Thank you Gizmo! You lived an amazing life and Leopard gecko, I think your amazing!
I just want to say that I really appreciate the work that was done on this channel. The channel and Gizmo heavily influenced me into buying my first reptile (5yr old Crested Gecko) and has been one of the main sources of guidance and inspiration when caring for her. I bet many of this channel's viewers have had similar experiences with this channel. So when you say that your channel is "on the way out" I would have to disagree. I would love to see this channel to stay active, and I applaud its long life span. RIP Gizmo, she was one of the influences that got me into reptile keeping.
Thanks to you, gizmo and the rest of the family, my baby boy is gonna have the best amd happiest life possible and because of you and your efforts to educate his first 3 years have been great. Thanks for sharing her with us and the knowladge you gained along the way.
omg im so sorry. idk if you remember me but i used to be a patreon of yours for a while, i came to check how you were doing and saw this :( rip gizmo, you will be forever loved and remembered and you had an amazing owner and life 🩷
Awwwww sugar (sorry, I'm from the South😊)..... I'm terribly sorry to hear that your Gizmo passed. I recently started keeping reptiles, amphibians, and Tarantulas. I got my first Leopard Gecko, her name is Saachi, just a couple of months ago and I adore her. That's really how I found your videos and I now follow you. You have helped me tremendously and I hope you're around for many years to come sharing your wealth of knowledge! Sending you good vibes from the USA!❤
Gizmo is one of the reasons why I purchased my first ever pet (Badger: Leopard Gecko). I have since become obsessed in the reptile and aquatic world, and couldn't imagine life without my super petty, and sassy, gecko. I was so sad to see the title of the video in my subscriptions page, but also cannot believe how many happy years you had with her. I've learned to accept that things happen, and we don't always understand why, in the animal keeper world. However, we were able to give the creatures in our homes a better life than in a breeding facility or empty display tank. Whether that be one week to years later. Sleep tight Gizmo, go enjoy hunting endless bugs and relaxing in a sun-puddle made just for you. xoxo
My leopard gecko Chico looks a lot like Gizmo, but it a male, however, please keep things the way they are with Gizmo in your logo, she is the reason many leopard gecko parents are doing it right. I'm truly sorry you don't have her any more, I can only imagine what you are going through. You gave her a great life and she was the star of many of your videos. I always thought she was the most beautiful of all your geckos. I will miss new videos of her too, but you have made a difference on the keeping of these creatures and that makes it all super worth it. My condolences for your loss.
I also lost my crested gecko who "started it all" for me, this year. I watched your channel before I got him as part of my research and your videos have helped me many times. I still recommend it to people sometimes, especially when they're getting their first reptile.
honestly gizmo is one of the reasons i started watching. i hope you feel better soon. but remember they aren't gone forever they are still by you most leos dont make it past 10 even 8 you took care of them so well
@ hi! i need some advice for my new leo i got. so i got this leopard gecko from a pet store 2 months ago and i feed once per day. around a month ago i switched from crickets and mealworms to just mealworms and occasionally wax worms. i want to get dubia roaches soon. anyways, my gecko eats around 10 mealworms per day for about 4 days and then doesn't eat for 4 days. this really worries me. should i go to a vet? am i feeding too much? i did months worth of research before getting a leopard gecko and i know you are really good with leopard geckos (hence the name) my gecko also seems to have a good body weight, tail weight, and normal looking poo when they do eat. this is making me very nervous and id really like some assurance/guidance. thank you! sorry it's a really long comment.
I remember watching your videos of Gizmo and everyone else when I was looking to get my first leopard gecko. I hope it brings you peace to know how many lives you and Gizmo touched. ❤️
First of all let me say my condolences to you on the loss of such a special pet. You have gone above and way beyond when it comes to the care of your pets! I hope you are proud of the fact you kept Gizmo alive and thriving for such a long time! I don't remember which reptile/amphibian I had first, but I had two garter snakes, a newt, and some tadpoles as a kid. None of which survived longer than a few months. Mainly because I didn't know better, and researching wasn't nearly as easy as it is now, with the internet. Gizmo's legacy will live on. 🦎
I am so sorry sweetie, but you can always watch videos with her in them. I wish that I had more videos of my sweet girl Isis. She was a mix of German Shepherd and Alaskan Husky; she was 15 when she passed. It had been a year on Oct 25 of this year. My first leopard gecko (Riggs) lived for 5 years, but died of illness and I wish that I also had more videos and pic's of him too. I'm so sorry! 💚💚💚💚
What a sweet video! I'm older, but have always loved reptiles and Gizmo is part of the reason I have my Terrarium setup bioactive and just waiting to find a Leo now! My condolences for your loss. She had a long loving life and that's all any of us can every hope for!
thank you ♥ to be fair that's awesome you have everything set and waiting for a leo, that'll be a nice and well established tank for a very lucky gecko :)
This has to be the worst part of keeping any animal. Sorry for your loss and I totally think you should keep her likeness on the channel. I've learned a lot watching your channel and a few others. So please keep it going. Often times personal experiences are far more helpful.
thank you ♥ and yes definitely. I almost get annoyed without myself that I let myself love something so much - but that is part of life, and I'd rather have loved and experienced great times with my reptiles, then to never have had them at all - so I try to focus on that :)
Thank you for making this tribute. I just lost my first-ever reptile and leopard gecko yesterday evening, completely unexpectedly. This video couldn't have come at a greater time. I'm about to start watching with a heavy heart and nothing but fondness for you and Gizmo, along with all that you've done for this community. ♡
@leopardgeckotalk Our respective stories of caring for reptiles for the first time had a lot of similarities in them. So this was very healing to watch, in a way. I want to continue improving the quality of life I can provide for my remaining two little ones and will be sure to continue supporting this channel, while looking up to the example you set. Thank you for getting us this far.
Gizmo is a legend. She facilitated so much learning and growth of the gecko keeping community! Because of her, we made so many changes to our own two geckos tanks! Rest easy baby!

thank you 🥺♥
RIP Gizmo, she will be remembered. You and Gizmo inspired me on to the journey of keeping reptiles. I got a female leopard gecko as well as my first reptile. You are an excellent owner and you taught me on taking care of them. Thank you and take care ❤
Aw thank you very much ♥

When I was a younger kid I remember watching your videos with Gizmo, you began my journey into researching leopard geckos and now I am a breeder who's focusing on repairing genetics that have been ruined by poor breeding. Gizmo was truly an inspiration and will continue to be for as long as people have TH-cam, rest in peace Gizmo🕊️
Aw thank you, and oh wow that's so cool, we need more breeders like you :)
My condolences...
You did your best and gave Gizmo the best you could. 18 years is a long time. I'm sure Gizmo knows and appreciated all you did for her. Thank you for sharing your experiences with her with us.

Wow, she was the same age as me. That's impressive for a leopard gecko. RIP Gizmo, you'll always be remembered ❤️

I think one of the only exceptions to the “inevitably ending in heartache” rule is actually one of my pets, squirtle. He’s a tortoise. Specifically a sulcata. Thanks to you, gizmo and the rest of the family, my baby boy is gonna have the best amd happiest life possible and because of you and your efforts to educate his first 3 years have been great. Thanks for sharing her with us and the knowladge you gained along the way.
aww im so glad to hear that 😊
omg im so sorry. idk if you remember me but i used to be a patreon of yours for a while, i came to check how you were doing and saw this :( rip gizmo, you will be forever loved and remembered and you had an amazing owner and life 🩷
Awwwww sugar (sorry, I'm from the South😊).....
Aww that's awesome, and thank you ♥
Gizmo is one of the reasons why I purchased my first ever pet (Badger: Leopard Gecko). Sleep tight Gizmo, go enjoy hunting endless bugs and relaxing in a sun-puddle made just for you. xoxo
Aww I'm so sorry to hear about Gizmo 💚 but this is such an awesome tribute. 🦎
May Gizmo rest in peace peace I offer my condolences god bless you take all the time
You need.

I also lost my crested gecko who "started it all" for me, this year. I watched your channel before I got him as part of my research and your videos have helped me many times. I still recommend it to people sometimes, especially when they're getting their first reptile.
Aww im so sorry to hear that. Yes, crestie's are awesome :)

@ hi! i need some advice for my new leo i got. so i got this leopard gecko from a pet store 2 months ago and i feed once per day. around a month ago i switched from crickets and mealworms to just mealworms and occasionally wax worms. i want to get dubia roaches soon. anyways, my gecko eats around 10 mealworms per day for about 4 days and then doesn't eat for 4 days. this really worries me. should i go to a vet? am i feeding too much? i did months worth of research before getting a leopard gecko and i know you are really good with leopard geckos (hence the name) my gecko also seems to have a good body weight, tail weight, and normal looking poo when they do eat. this is making me very nervous and id really like some assurance/guidance. thank you! sorry it's a really long comment.
he just started eating again 😭😭😭
I am so sorry Gizmo is gone...She made such a difference in the lives of so many...Goodby little one.💕
thank you ♥
I remember watching your videos of Gizmo and everyone else when I was looking to get my first leopard gecko. I hope it brings you peace to know how many lives you and Gizmo touched. ❤️
thank you ♥
I am so sorry for the passing of Gizmo.
Rest In Peace Gizmo. You inspired me to own all kinds of geckos. Sending you love girl
thank you ♥
omg i’m so sorry for your loss
thank you ♥
She had a great, long life.
Aww sorry to hear that. But thank you :)
That’s quite a life well lived.
yes haha :) I try to remind myself that :)
thank you ♥
she is such a sweet girl. im sorry you have to survive her, but little videos like this help keep her memory alive. sleep well, gizmo
thank you ♥
I am so sorry sweetie, but you can always watch videos with her in them. 💚💚💚💚
Aww im so sorry to hear that 🥺 and thank you ♥
What a sweet video!
Take care, I know you had her for such a long time and it is always hard to say goodbye
thank you ♥
Have a rest little gecko
This has to be the worst part of keeping any animal. Sorry for your loss and I totally think you should keep her likeness on the channel. I've learned a lot watching your channel and a few others. So please keep it going. Often times personal experiences are far more helpful.
thank you ♥ and yes definitely. I almost get annoyed without myself that I let myself love something so much - but that is part of life, and I'd rather have loved and experienced great times with my reptiles, then to never have had them at all - so I try to focus on that :)
Sorry for your loss xx
May she forever be in everyone’s hearts
thank you ♥
Keep making content, everyone will still watch you. There's always new things to learn, don't stop.
yes, I have a few video ideas in mind, but every now and again I may disappear for a week or two as I feel I'm running on empty sometimes lol
I'm so sorry he was your first reptile i hope he can be where he belongs heaven.
thank you ♥
@@leopardgeckotalk you and gizmo helped me learn to care for reptile gizmo inspired everyone with his playful and his adventures personality.
oh my goodness im so sorry :(
@leopardgeckotalk Our respective stories of caring for reptiles for the first time had a lot of similarities in them. So this was very healing to watch, in a way. I want to continue improving the quality of life I can provide for my remaining two little ones and will be sure to continue supporting this channel, while looking up to the example you set. Thank you for getting us this far.
Rest in peace Gizmo 💔
thank you ♥
