I worked at Nepenthe in 1969 and it was awesome. I highly recommend Big Sur State Park for amazing walking and hiking. They also have a lodge, restaurant and gift shop.
loved staying at Ragged Point! Amazing time! Beautiful vistas, incredible lawn, lovely room with a fireplace and the crashing ocean below. Stay here! you won't be disappointed.
What a great video to share! I am celebrating my engagement weekend and I now have some beautiful lookouts to enjoy during my stay in Big Sur with my fiance! Thanks !!
The Ambrosia Burger at Nepenthe…. Nothing like it in the world…. My family owned 20 acres on Pfeifer Ridge. Just south of Pfeiffer campgrounds…. Cool vid🤙🏻
Great video! I'm planning a road trip through Big Sur and you gave so many ideas! Really interested in finding out more about the diving at Point Lobos. Will follow up if I go.
That was a great tour, thank you so much! I'd like you to have lingered just a little longer at each place so the viewer got more of a sense of what it was like. This felt a little whistle-stop. But I'm sure you had a reason for keeping the video to about 10 minutes! Thanks again
Do u have such infirmation (stops with resturant shops restrooms etc) for Canada Usa all other parts ?loved it since, I dont neee to reserch much before leaving and saves time.
Hi! Did you bring your pup with you on this trip? I want to do this trip with my pup… you were able to bring pup on most places? Thank you, enjoyed your video very much!
We were at Ragged Point a few years ago. Video's and narratives fail to capture the wonderful aroma of the place. The scent of the humid salt air and especially the aroma of pine needles and pine trees is equal to the visual beauty of Ragged Point as well as many other places.
Awesome and informative video. Where would you suggest to stay that’s economically affordable in BigSur? I would love to visit this place during my travels to California very soon. Please advise. Thanks in advance.
I was just in Myrtle Beach. Being from the East Coast I must say other than Florida the beaches are nothing like California Coast beaches in Oregon also
Totally true! I was just in Myrtle Beach as well. I do like the abundance of shells on that coast. I'll have a Myrtle Beach video out in a few weeks. Thanks for watching!
Great video! I know some of the places you mentioned do not allow dogs, would you recommend some trials and restaurants that are dog friendly in big sur pls? Thank you!
From Oceano to Hearst Castle these 2 bad Calif Rangers work..... Morro Bay Camp ground , I entered the park at 5:15 am which is open 24/7 and I also had this free day use pass from the library with me . A Calif Park Ranger / Cop was cruising the campground 2 hours before his shift he stopped behind me as I was letting him pass me. He ran my drivers license and not happy because I am clean he wrote me a BS ticket for not paying the camping fee. He just watched me drive into the park ! I am 70 years old and a veteran and I had this pass and was thinking of taking a camping spot and paying for that. He also banned me from the campground for 24 hours then when I was leaving the park and stopped at the pay booth to re read the rules he pulled up and told me to get out !.... Ranger " B. E " needs some other job... Ranger " K " also..
So many other hidden gems you didn’t list, there are caves, hot springs, black sand beach, but I won’t tell since I discovered these by exploring and don’t want random tourist ruining it.

You're right, that one trip is not enough to enjoy all the sights

You missed the falls at Limekiln Creek. Lived there 68/69. Magical!
Beautiful video and thanks for sharing!
In your Monterey tour, go north a bit to Moss Landing and The Whole Enchilada for a meal. Grew up riding horses on those beaches.
Point Lobos is a gem!
I stayed at the Ragged Point Inn. it’s a nice place to stay.
What a great video to share! I am celebrating my engagement weekend and I now have some beautiful lookouts to enjoy during my stay in Big Sur with my fiance! Thanks !!
Thank you for putting together such complete information about this place!
Enjoyed your layout very much..so many travel vlogs show you things, but give you little or no time and spatial context. Subscribed
Thank you. Very beautiful.

Great commentary and videography!
Great video🔥 Love your channel man👌🏽
Glad you enjoy it!
I was just in Big Sur and I wish I would’ve known this before!
If we are going from la to san fran where do we start without going thru all those smaller cities?
Awesome and informative video. Where would you suggest to stay that’s economically affordable in BigSur? I would love to visit this place during my travels to California very soon. Please advise. Thanks in advance.
I prefer to go camping. There are tons of great spots for camping 🏕

Anyone know if these roads are open right now? I heard hwy 1 is closed right now
Beautiful video
Howany days did this take?
We did this in three days two up and one down enjoy
@@Active_Tours Thanks - you got a lot done in 3 days. Nice!
Hello, is it ok to fly a dji mini along Big Sur? thanks.
Thank you so much for the video very informative quick question if I'm heading north on Big Sur from Morro bay would these stops be in order?
Yes south to north in order
@@Active_Tours Thank You subscribed ! If you ever wanna listen to scary stories along the way check my channel out have a great day !
5:32 is that a SAT phone?
How is Big Sur in mid to late January?
Usually very wet. Mid-Oct - mid-May can/will be on and off (mostly on) rain which is one of the reasons they have so many land-slide issues.
@@scottallan6770 Thanks!
You must not be from California thinking Pfeiffer is one of the most beautiful beaches here! You got a lot of exploring to do pal
So much more 😃

Like. There is an opportunity to rate mine.

Nah, it is only one stop. The first road bloc. The you get pissed off and turn around.
The moment I saw her wearing a facemark at an empty beach I had to skip this video!
Your voice is too nasally. It distracted from the video. Such a shame
Your comment is too idiotic. It is irrelevant and brings nothing positive to the mankind. Such a shame. Be kind.
