The M package sharpens the sporty profile of the RR. Exclusive Light White/M Motorsport paint is only included in this package and gives the motorcycle a powerful look. The package includes: M Sport seat for optimum support on the hunt for crucial milliseconds. Weight-optimized M Carbon wheels with M graphics for maximum riding dynamics. Or the alternatively available M forged wheels. In addition, the M footrest system and the black fuel filler cap.

Depending on how much $ I can save up... -For next spring, I'm saving for either a low mile, 2023 BMW S1000RR M-Pkg, or a new 2024 BMW S1000RR M-Pkg. I freaking love these S1000RR's! Thanks for making these videos! Well done! I will subscribe after this comment,

Errrkmmm... I'm afraid but Jeff is not correct with his comments on the weight differences of the 3 wheel options. The cast wheel is actually only 2 gramms (yes - gramms) heavier as the forged wheels. Mainly because they shaved of some weight and they come with 4.5mm brake discs compared to 5mm on the forged ones. So there is NO "significant weight difference" between the cast and forged wheels !
However the carbon wheels are 1.5kg lighter compared to the forged wheels, which indeed is a big difference and should give you the handling advantage you are bragging about in this video. Again: the carbon wheels give you handling advantages, the forged will give you better brake performance and consistency (over the cast wheels),

Jeff here. What is your source? Per BMW Motorrad, the forged wheels are 1.5 lbs lighter than the cast while the carbon are only 1 lb lighter than the forged. That may not sound like much but it's significant when you're talking about rotational, unsprung weight. Even with thicker rotors, the weight reduction along the outer circumference of the forged wheel is lighter than the cast which is where it makes the most difference. Have you ridden S1000RRs with all three wheels? I have, extensively. The difference is more noticeable from cast to forged than forged to carbon and many others have claimed the same thing. EDIT - added that this is Jeff the Sales Manager.

@@bmwmotorcyclesofriverside252 Source is the project head of the 2019 model K67 Sepp from BMW (so he should know) - you can watch him here in this interview (in German but you should be able to understand it - wheels weight info starting from 18"05s) th-cam.com/video/UoFh6fZLeWw/w-d-xo.html
Again: you need to compare the wheels weight with the brake discs they come with: cast is 4.5mm, forged and carbon is 5.0mm
