Dear Lord, I wish the audience would shut up! Don't they realize what a treasure it was getting to hear The Boxer live? I've been to four Mumford shows and I've never heard that song live.
You paid a lot for the ticket, shut up and listen, lol. Chit chat after the show.
Couldn't agree more, what could be so important as to miss that moment. Not to mention ruining it for everyone in earshot, and here on YT. Unbelievable.

It's a sheer crime that so few truly recognize this song when he starts. Mumford and Sons owe so much to acts like Simon and Garfunkel, and unfortunately (it feels like) this astounding tribute went over the heads of too many modern-day listeners.

I couldn't agree more with this comment. I have a dobro that I pick on occasion and there is one wish all dobro players have, I think: I want to play as good as Jerry Douglas.

I wish I'd discovered these guys earlier; if they ever go on tour, I'm definitely going. Their live shows seem truly incredible.
ive seen them live once. The show was rather short, 1.5 hour but my god can these guys play.
I swear, some girls go to concerts just so they can hear themselves talk to a larger group of people.
Truth, I saw them in 2019 and had to turn and yell at a group of women to shut up. They talked the whole time, so rude.

I've heard of Mumford & Sons but this is the first time I've listened to them. I'm a dobro player and Jerry Douglas is the king of the dobro. Boy have I been missing something Mumford & Sons is a great group, love the vocals and timing.
I only started loving them when I saw them live. Most surprisingly good show of my life, never stopped listening since then
The Dixon Stopover was unquestionably one of the best weekends of my life. Thank you Jerry Douglas and Mumford & Sons for contributing so much to my happiness.
It's like finding buried treasure & you have to blow away the little bits of earth, raw & natural, an inconvenience, maybe, but this was the womb that held your dear treasure. As you concentrate/focus on your treasure your ears & eyes see, hear & feel more~the beauty of the soul speaks.

Three years ago and I find this still one of the best harmony I can find.
Look up Mike Masse's cover of this. The harmonies on that will bring tears to your eyes. I love this version too, but Masse and his friend knock it out of the damn park on this song. He does a killer Scarborough Fair as well!

I like how the guys in the band are always watching Jerry to see what amazing phrase or line he's going to play next. It never fails: whenever he is playing in an ensemble like this, all eyes are on him.

The girls are talking about the shooting star that went directly over the stage right when they started playing the song. I saw it, It was pretty damn amazing. Literally was a perfect moment. I was surprised more people didn't see it at the concert. (I agree though, keep quiet and enjoy the great music)

as a person from Dixon who went to the concert, I can assure you that I not only know how to behave in public I was so excited by Mumford & Sons being there I was too stunned to speak. But this was at the end of a long day of drinking for some so I understand why some are talking...
