I love how you have the old photos of the history of the park. It was great to see all that old silver come out of the park. Jewerly is a bonus. I hope you find that ladies ring on your next hunt. 😀
I thought a "Fishscale was a .5 cent piece not a dime". Lived in that area for 16 years, got tired of that park but my Tesoro Silver Umax doesn't go that deep so gave it up and moved on to other parks. Hope that Justin and I see you soon again to do some "new" spots. We may be going out this "Saturday somewhere, David offered us a ride within city limits but forecast is Hot! Hot! Hot! Hopefully a park with "lots of shadey trees". Happy Hunting!!
That's right Laurie! Never hunted out! Wait til after a rain and bam! More finds too be had. Eric found alot of bullets and everyone had a good day. Stay away from the poo sis!😁
Started detecting in Ottawa 45 years ago but now on the west coast. Miss being able to go to any park there and still find stuff. Last time I was there about 4 years ago found 1 fishie and 2 large cents in an area I first went to 45 years ago. Never “cleaned out”.
Hello Charles! It feels like mission impossible to clean an area out, I’m happy because it left a few behind for us to find lol.. it must have been plentiful 45 years ago though! We all dream and say I should have started the day I could walk ha ha! The west coast is so beautiful though ☺️
@@RelicDirtyhands yes it was, you could go out and easily get 50-100 coins dating in the late 1800’s and up. I never did search Strathcona park though.
Awesome collab hunt! So many great finds! Sweet wreathed silvers! Neat bullet finds. Very cool to have a park on an old rifle range. The artillery stuff I was finding at the old park here also dated to the Boer War era. ATB and happy hunting!
It’s not the cleanest park 😬 there are so many signals it’s tough, you dig a good 20 trash targets to 1 good target maybe. That’s the fun though, the potential of finding something lost a long time ago or lost jewelry of yesterday. ☺️
I hunted there with Andre and Threedogs years ago. Still amazed that place is still giving up its treasures Late summer is the best time to hit the river 😉
No luck on anything old at the few sites we had access to in ontario. We are in morin heights Quebec for the next five days. Not sure we will get a chance to detect or not. But we might get lucky.
I hope Eric was forgiven for not begeming you this trip. Can't find all the jewelry I guess. Sad that you never found that ring, still you gave it a try. Never make a statement here that you felt stupid, some smartarse here would just say your feelings match your looks. Large bullets 577/450 me thinks. Looked like a beautiful day. You even got to wear proper clothing too.
Ha ha I’ll remember that, I still had to go back and cover the area again with a faster recovery speed ☺️. The weather was perfect that day! Not to hot or cold. We’ve had nice spring weather but the summer heat just started. Are you having winter right now?
@@RelicDirtyhands We are having a cold winter. Snow fell on our snow fields on the first day of winter. Up in the tropics where I live it was getting down to 5-6C freezing for us as our houses are built to combat the heat. We suffer through winter. Some winters there is on;t one cold day, but this year it means business.
As usual, great hunt my Canadian Brothers & Sisters.👍👍
Thank you so much 🤗

We will definitely go back, each time I go I look for it. Hopefully I find it 🤪

For a pounded park you did very, very well! I'm sure tons of garbage was found too but that's the price you pay for goodies. Thanks for the video!

It’s a really cool site, potential for military, old coins and todays jewelry. A little something for everyone ☺️
My son 🐝 said what's Riffle?
Enjoyed ✌
Thank you 😊 Let him know it’s like a gun that the army used ☺️ Have an awesome weekend!
You would think people in our nation's capital would be neater. That's a great park, must be a lot of history there.

I can’t wait to try looks like fun! Did you find a masonic ring there? I’ve heard stories about this other guy who found a sweet ring lol.
@@RelicDirtyhands Yes ma'am that's me ☺️
@@danq.5140 Ha ha! I heard stories about that, what an incredible find!
@@RelicDirtyhands Just realised that I assumed it was Laurie that replied. My apologies Eric if it was you 😇
