Finally picked up the wagon today. The Stage 4 package you put together for us Stathi has exceeded my expectations . You have retained the drivability I wanted, there is no droning issues which you can get with wagons and the torque and kw increase just right for daily driver use. Very happy with the results!
How has your economy improved? I've got an l77 Calais wagon and i need to do a dod delete but already have the exhaust (but run bimodal muffler) and intake done, as well as a tuned rebuilt auto, and it's just a family car.
Thanks for sharing the different range of options available. Fully appreciate that everybody has different taste, and its great you cater to that without pushing people into a one size fits all approach.
Most people who upgrade their cam have a fairly good idea already what they want to put in you need to work out your goals for the car so if you go to a mechanic and they dont discuss what your goals are for the car and just try to talk you into a certain cam then head for the door stat.
If im building up a barra, for a supercharged application, and I am getting a custom grind cam (240/255 @114 ish), is this a good way to go getting the dyno before buying the stall to get the ideal matchup? Or could a stall be approximated If I am keeping the 4.0 @ 12psi ie 7500rpm
@@IndependentMotorsports You did mention that a stall would be advantages in the low rpm area. Oh and with this cam are you able to hit a 600-650rpm idle? Cheers mate, love your vids.
That is correct, As I said in the video the customer was not interested in losing any of the drivability that comes with the bigger camshafts. I believe he will be very happy And if he isn't i will simply change it to something bigger.
Great video and the perfect result for your customer, judging by what they asked for. I would have liked to hear more of an idea of idle sound, but it sounds great when opened up!

What an amazing result for such a tiny cam, wow !!!

Nice setup!
Sounds awesome 👌, what's the price on that sort of set-up??
Hey mate can you tell me what model car and engine code you have?
@@IndependentMotorsports
I don't have a Holden, but I've got Chrysler 300c 2005 with the 5.7lt .
Yes that is completely different combination you would need to contact us for pricing
@IndependentMotorsports
cheers, no worries.

You would need to start with something and then after the dyno you would make fine changes to the converter.
@@IndependentMotorsports thank you, keep up the vids they are great
Is the 871777 smaller? Any reviews?Cheers
Hi We haven't used this one yet but do plan on doing testing next year when our engine is up and running
Have you tried the crow 1212 camshaft the 229/232?
I’ve seen it make 400hp on a roller dyno on a Ls1
I have used it personally you can't beat the 1249 in a LS1
@@IndependentMotorsports that’s great you’ve been able to see the difference. What about on a ls2. Still the camshaft of choice?
Yeah im 61 & got a WM statesy with an L77 & THIS is exactly what I'd go for. ....you grow outta the boy racer phase 👍
This is the hardest part of our job as we need to be able to tailor different packages for different people. Thanks for sharing your opinion 👌
If your not in the boy racer phase theres no use in upgrading your shaft just leave the stocker in, you probably dont rev it past 4000rpm anyway.
@@AndrewMitchell001 ohh...i still have the occasional need to re-live my youth....but yeah, good point taa 👍
What size high stall would you use for that size cam?
You actually don't need one with his cam The factory converter works perfectly.

@@phillperry487 You can actually achieve close to factory idle speed
Any footage of the idle?
In the video mate
And would probably smoke most "big cam" cars on the street
Not what I would have gone for but its not my car, just so long as old mates happy and doesn't have small shaft regret in a few months then all good.
We are always happy to swap out the camshafts if the customers aren't quite satisfied but I believe this customer will be happy with the result.
That's a baby cam..... only just above stock

@@AUTHENTICAUTOBODY There is a idle sound in this video.
