    Great video. That’s everything I want for my next round on the VF GTS auto. After sales service is exactly what’s needed and why I’ll 100% buy from you.
    Love to see something on tuning the auto 6l90 if the opportunity arises. Cheers

      Thanks mate I appreciate that, I've had a few requests regarding the autos so I'll do something in the future.

    I rate these kits, I have a BTR stage 2 Turbo Cam V1 with BTR Trunnions upgrade, dual valve springs, titanium retainers and BTR pushrods in a LS1.. made 403rwhp NA…lost some HP at the top because the standard fuel pump in the VX is on its way out
    Imported from states a few years ago I wouldn’t have done anything else if I had the chance to do it again

    Perhaps more info in regards to trans tuning? What makes a gearbox shift faster yet seamless compared to fast and slap in the back etc etc

      Hi there budd really enjoying ypur videos hopefully some of ypur knowledge is sinking into my brain...haha..recently brougt the btr full shaft mount v2 kit I have just purchased that with hohnson reduced travell 2116lsr tiebar lifters going in vf redline l77.has cnc Blackwell heads' decked 20 thousand with vcm5sc. but been doing bit of research and buying bits i have btr dual platinum 660 kit ti retainers heads were decked 20 thousand....now as for cam selection in 2 minds btr stage 4...or redhot....I know the stage 4 your saying ain't all that friendly too bottom ends ....contemplating on whilst have engine apart throwing decent rods and pistons ..would the standard crank with decent mains bearings rod bearings cope or is it best too go for a forged one possibly.?? i have brought arp head stud kit and arp shaft bolt kit head stud all in 12 point 'rollmaster gold series dual chain...mellings 10295 high pressure oil pump...aeroflow billet timing cover for clearance issues billet oil pick-up brace billet oil galley plug aeroflow oil pick up baffle just trying too address alot of the ls design faults and put together a reliable combo without chasing monster dyno figures but in saying that I'll take as much as its happy to throw my way...ok sorry in advance for the novel just trying to get a steer in the right direction if I haven't already gone astray...lol..cheers Dean'o ..

      Hi with any build we try to keep things as simple as possible There are 2 things in there that I feel you do not need, 1 being the billet timing cover and 2 the role master timing chain set There is nothing wrong with the factory GM chain or a good cloyes Z Chain, We just see far too many issues that relate to the double row timing chain and avoid it every time even our 1000 plus horsepower builds get a single chain set. Now Johnson's are a fantastic lifter however keeping things simple a LS7 lifter would be perfect for this build fitting short travel lifters are just not necessary, But more importantly I really need to know what result you're trying to achieve, what horsepower and RPM levels and how will you be using the vehicle that's the most important thing I need to know. @@deanfelini4085

      Hey m8 i just seen your reply now thanks for your reply...its mainly garaged street driven low km l77 has 37 k on the car gets driven for weekend at least once a month and is auto 6l80e trans that I will order a high stall for once I finish engine mods so I can get a convertor spec'd up that will work well with engine upgrades .. so basically car will be a street warrior that will see a bit of stomping on the loud pedal..😊.I seen in your reply you recommed a cloyes z single chain 'I did look at them but hesitated after watching a lot of engine builders and they all seemed to go with the double row which swayed me into buying the double row... I guess i can always purchase the cloyes and sell the double row off.all parts are brand new and still in unopened boxes for that exact reason ...with the aeroflow billet timing cover the 2 main reasons I purchased was the clearance with high volume oil pump and and double row timing chain clearances...but also the looks of billet as opposed to a factory style I think personally looks loads better on the eye's....not everyone's cup of tea but I prefer a bit of engine porn ...👍...and as for rpm wise thinking anywhere from 7 k up I did see you have used the stage 4 btr that gets up around the 8 mark, but as u said in your video that's running the rods and crank bearings past there limits .that's why I was asking your opinion on wether I should throw decent rods and some good crank bearings on the crank ...or should I also be looking at a forged steel crank also...???..And piston wise I reckon I'll be pushing the boundaries of them also and guessing theyll need fly cutting for ptv. As the cnc blackwell heads are decked 20 thou..?? Im basically trying too put a strong reliable combo together that will make fairly decent power but with some sort of longevity say any where up from 650 + horse at the flywheel with out going too crazy and having too put stroker rotating assembly...and yes I have heard the ls7 lifters are good I looked at the caddy lifters which they say are good for 8000 rpm...and was almost going to buy a set of them..but the johnsons tiebar were almost same price ' not much more when i was shopping around which is why i decided on the johnson tiebar lifters .... when vcm did the cam heads and tune I did get ls7 lifters but decided I would upgrade too the johnson's for the added security of a lifter turning in the trays and creating all sorts of engine failures...i know its un common but i dont mind upgrading some of the critical areas for that added security and peace of mind...I realise there becomes a compromise once you start getting up in rpm and horse power but that's the sacrifices we make I guess....ok once again thanx for the reply and advice so far cheers Dean'o...👍👍

    Got a 6L L77 planning on getting the red hot cam through you guys along with the 660 lift springs, any idea if I'll need upgraded rocker arms or am I safe to run current/stock ones, any help would be great cheers guys. Also curious what length pushrods would be needed to save time measuring and reordering.

    • @IndependentMotorsports
      @IndependentMotorsports  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Standard rockers are perfectly fine however I would strongly recommend trunion upgrades, 7.4 seem to be the most consistent length with this camshaft however you should always check and measure.

      @@marvin-g7d2owithout back to back testing against similar camshaft spec it's a question I can't answer.
      We are currently doing a back-to-back test with two BTR cams and one crow cam The purpose of the test is to see the differences between 3 camshafts from one end of the scale to the other.
      Should be an interesting test

    I get a giggle at the stage shit, their no better than any other manufacturer, I purchased Crow simply because their Aussie and its Aussie jobs, i buy USA gear only if its not made by Aussies most of my 427 LS turbo build I've purchased yella terra roller rockers, Crow cam, D springs, retainers, seals, locks, turbosmart 2x wastegates, pop valve, eboost 2, rollmaster, and VPW's Pro Flow intercooler, Turbo clamps, alloy intake tube, i need push rods but be buying Crow cams 1st. Think about the guys your keeping in a job

    • @IndependentMotorsports
      @IndependentMotorsports  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thanks for your concern but I can assure you seeing as I'm an Australian business supporting local Australian jobs and not just one we employ many staff to keep the wheels turning so I understand the value of Australian jobs and employment, If you have a look at my website you'll also see that we are a very big customer of crow cams spending a large amount of money with them weekly, I'd also like to make it clear that we purchase our BTR cams from an Australian distributor so we are also putting food on his table that also puts food on his employees tables. Sorry if this comes across a little rude But I am passionate about my industry and don't like being questioned about how I support Australian products when in actual fact we do. The Australian market wants reviews on products and that's what I'm going to give them..
