Love Blue Ridge. We will be building our retirement home outside of Ellijay Ga on our land we bought 10 yrs ago. It’s about 30 minutes from Blue Ridge. The North Georgia mountains are beautiful, clean & peaceful.

I’m from Florida and plan on driving up there what would you recommend food/bar scene wise and where would be a good place to tent camp?

As a local, we are normally overwhelmed and over run with tourist. This little video makes it look so peaceful. We once had a wonderful little town , and now it’s a tourist trap. Sad .

I feel that way about where I live in Auburn, Alabama. It is called the loveliest village on the plains. It is no longer lovely nor is it a village. They have torn down so much history and replaced it with high rises and overwhelming construction at every corner. It is like any other growing city with rising crime issues. It used to pleasant to walk around downtown but I avoid it like the plague.

The same thing happened where I grew up. I don’t even recognize it anymore.

those tourists you're whining about also
bring revenue to an area that would be alot worse off without it. sorry, but...true fact.

I really enjoyed your video. I am in Chicago, but I have always thought about moving to the southeast around north Georgia or eastern Tennessee. North Georgia just seems more down to earth.

@@kathleencraig3804 Hi Kathleen! Yeah that’s typical day time temperatures. It varies of course but around Thanksgiving you should be fine with a lighter jacket. I personally haven’t rode the train. You can walk through the shops in a couple hours.

Not terrible, but mostly a useless informational video. Just music and panning video. At the very beginning he said something shops and dining. What’s recommended, what’s popular, where/what are the good or recommended restaurants? Narration and suggestions would have made this much better?
