Life is really good up in that area. If you live between Ellijay and Blue Ridge, you have two really cute thriving small mountain towns each about 10 to 15 minutes away, you got all sorts of hiking trails and vast protected nature zones, you got great fishing and kayaking rivers, two large freshwater lakes nearby in Blue Ridge Lake and Carter Lake, you got 4,000ft mountains, you got waterfalls all over the place, low crime, reasonable cost of living, and really mild winters (typical wintertime highs around 50 or so). And still within 80 minutes you got Atlanta for airport/city stuff. Great area!
Wow thank you . I am actually heading up there this weekend from Florida to buy land and build a home as an investment and then plan to retire. My wife and I on board as NE Florida has become unbearable with the heat after 50 years. Thanks for video
Ellijay is much better in my experience than Blue Ridge. It feels more mountainous as well. Blue ridge is in a valley (tristate area) and Ellijay is in between the Cohutta Wilderness (largest wilderness east of Mississippi) and the Rich Mountain wilderness. Everything downtown Blue Ridge is pretty expensive and priced in for tourists. It's starting to feel tacky like Gatlinburg.

Ellijay looks stunning. Reminds me of some Canadian towns. I'm heading there to visit soon. Greetings from Mark in Canada 🇨🇦
Its a great little town. We stayed for 3 month over the summer while our RV was being repainted. Thanks for watching!
Ellijay looks like a neat little town. I like all of the little apple houses and so much local stuff to purchase.

I actually live here. It is an amazing place. If you ever consider going down to the squad, I recommend going to the roof restaurant. It is amazing 🥰
