    One Step I forgot at the end: Add a White Balance Adjustment to all of the Shadow and make it cooler or warmer to bring it closer to the photo background

    This is fabulous. Now to to the iPad. One thing I’m still struggling with is a shadow for a butterfly so it’s wings look a little up, or slightly curling the end of paper or a photo.

    this is so helpful with the shadow. I have a question on the right click to select the image after you did the changes at 4.15. I right clicked it but there is nothing happening on the layer.

      @rolandgasser6711 ปีที่แล้ว

    Great tutorial. However, I would like to find a way to realise this directly in Designer. But live filters are not available there (not even in pixel persona). But these are the key for realistic shadows.

    • @misnowakowscy3173
      @misnowakowscy3173 ปีที่แล้ว

      you can always use File > Edit in Photo.... (if you have both programs :) ) and then choose your vector shape or group, add live filter (cause it will not rasterize vectors :D ) do the changes and go back by File > Edit in Designer. I kind of found out how to do it yesterday, so I'm sharing out of happiness!

      @@OlivioSarikas 1. The shadows of the woman and luggage need to be longer because the sun is close to the horizon. Yet you drew the shadow of the luggage so that it's shorter than the luggage itself, which is impossible given the sun angle. When you used the Perspective filter, the four-sided shape (quadrilateral) you drew would actually need to extend well below the bottom edge of the image.
      2. The deck that the woman is standing on, is not an even polished surface, but made up of horizontal planks. To account for this, you could use the deck as a displacement map with the Displace filter. This would really make it look like shadow is following the texture of the horizontal planks.
      3. The woman herself is facing away from the Sun (her back is turned to the Sun), so the front of her should be dark. Likewise for the luggage. In fact, it looks like the woman and the metal luggage handle are being lit from the left side (look how bright the metal handle and the top part of the luggage is), so that needs to be corrected. Even though she's facing away from the Sun, she appears lit more brightly than the dock itself.
