- I tried to make gears and after a few days of playing we hadanother blink sketch. This is not animation, pure code with lots of math! It was fun.
Feel free to use my code. I am using T-display S3 Amoled ESP32 development board. And ofc i am using Arduino IDE to program it. I am using rotary encode to move these gears.
Here is original video about this board:
• Finally, ESP32 board ...
You can buy T-Display S3 AMOLED here:

Thank you , I hope You will subscribe, thats helps alot.

Why he made this? the correct answer is because he can.
Excellent implementation! It doesn't matter that it doesn't have a purpose - sometimes it's the journey that's more important than the destination.
This is the most complicated blink example I have seen so far! Great project!
Thank you, yes , it was quite hard to make it work. tnx
One thing you show is projects are only limited by imagination and you have a great one. I bet your students can't wait to see what you come up with next.
Thank you
Happy , Just makes me happy I found this video.
Another BEAUTIFUL project which shows the display capabilities of these boards. Thanks for taking the time and for doing the work recording, editing and posting your videos!
Glad to see you are exercising your Daddy entertainment muscles. You will need them in the coming years. Prepare for much more exercise, you will be an ACE! This is the cutest little device, love it!!!😆
Sir I love your all projects ❤️
From India 🇮🇳
Superbly over-engineered blinky - fantastic! 👏
Tnx :)
The most imaginative screen guy on the internet! Each week we're treated to another amazing little project that takes up no more than a few square centimeters. Don't know how he does it, week after week. Well done, once again.
That is one cool project, this is best for learning while having fun.
I really like how you said "auto mode now I can enjoy blinking without hardwork" 😂
Thank you Volos for another inspiring project ^^
i agree :)
This could be the new fidget spinner for electronics nerds. I agree that Arduino IDE is the easiest way to program these boards. I enjoyed this video. That display is very sharp. Thanks for sharing this.
you are just crazy! Thank you for this brilliant idea - that's what I needed after a busy day in the office
Thank you, i am glad you find this entertaining. :)
Thanks, Another great video / Project
man , love your work , learned lot , enjoyed everything , thanks
Tnx man
LOL! ESP32 workout device! Nice project! You are right the display does look very nice!
I'm always suprised that you still handle your project/code with the Arduino IDE. It is difficult to me to imagine that it is possible at all, doing more than "Hello World" with it. But it seems you only have to be crazy enough and it becomes possible 🤣.... Nice Work!
Very interesting and positive channel. A man writes programs for beautiful graphics on small screens.
Thank you Adjar, i am glad you find it interesting.
Well done. Learning a lot from your projects. Bought you a coffee a few weeks back. You must be due another one !
Thank you my friend. I am always happy when i saw that people are learning using my content. Tnx again.
Love it, thank you!
Awesome project !....cheers.
Impressive and very cool. Your screen designs are very inpiring and very entertaining.
Thank you! :)
You have a brilliant imagination.
You have done a lot of good work with sprites and other primitives; building blocks that can make very interesting displays. Have you thought about writing a book in PDF format where you have listed all of your primitives with a picture and a code sample? I would buy such a PDF so that I could use it to build interesting moving displays.
It’s beautiful!
Yes, it is nice, thank you.
Odličan projekt za naučiti nešto novo.
Svako dobro i samo nastavi.
Pozz.
Hvala. Probat cu 😀
Thank you, you made me laugh with video this morning. Cool project and because you can😂😂😂
I am glad I did😀
Great work!
OMG, that's adorable!!
talented mechanical engineer..you r
now this dude is UNSTOPPABLE
Hahaha, i hope🤣
Fantastic stuff! 2 coffees coming your way!
Thank you :)
my maths is weak, wanted to build a adrunio based hi-fi stereo system like the 3 cd changer, with tunnner, aux in, hdmi/coax/optical decoders with a great display.
it's so cool i want to make something similar
Great brother. 🎉🎉🎉
The incredible Machine !
Haha, that's very cool. The animations look nice. Do you actually draw the textures rotated, or do you have a spritesheet of rotated gears?
no, i am calulating cooridinate of each point and i am using circles and triangles to draw gear.
That reminds me of the children's books by Philippe Fix - lots of attention to the small details of his contraptions.
Have you looked at the Lilygo T-Deck yet?
I did, i want one :)
Great !!!
Best Blink.ino ever!
hahaha, tnx :)
To Cool!
Nice.
I feel like this is the Arduino equivalent of FizzBuzz Enterprise Edition.
That's the best useles toy i haver ever seen!I want to buy one!!
Einfach SUPER!!!!! 😀👍
Whatever will you think of next?! Keep 'em comin'
It would be awesome if when you changed the speeds, the gear size changed.
What's the blinking use for it?
I had to buy you a coffee for ths one.👍👍 Make sure you buy a coffee and not cake or you wll have to do more exercise turning that rotary encoder!
Thank you, i will try, i love cakes😀😀
your strong fingers will really please the ladies
Hello, what software were used to make the pictures used in your project? Can you provide a tutorial?
there is no picture in this project, only circles and triangles and rectangles.
What's the problem in using a PCB board?
Fun is enough reason to do something.
That is true, thank you.
Not useful, but impressive! Love all your prohects.
Thank you my friend.
I feel like, when he said, "It's not just a GIF with frames displays as a turned the knob"... it really just occurs to him that he SHOULD have done it that way and saved TONS of time!
Seriously, that would have been a much better project. Like an Arduino Zoetrope. Make that project!
Well, what's keeping you. It will take you tons of time to create those gifs to begin with. Then try to get control over which frame to show from that gif 🙈
Incredible, as always!
It reminded me how I played with black and white OLED display. It was connected to the potentiometer, and the arrow on the display showed it's exact position on circle
th-cam.com/video/BR13Qp7PIMY/w-d-xo.html
Child's play compare to you project, but it was incredible fan.
I used formula to find positions on the circle, at first it didn't work, because it uses Radians instead of degrees, so i forced to find formula to convert degrees to radians. And then it worked.
Next i wanted to try colour LCD, i even bought it, but never tried it out.
Maybe I should consider demo boards like yours.
It would be much more useful if you controlled it with an actual steering wheel.
I disagree..
Very useful...
It shows how code & physical components can be connected in way that the output is controlled by the physical action of the user .
It also shows how to draw / animate complicated patterns using basic shapes .
A great next step from the classic blink sketch - well done !
I want to know how he managed to do this, it seems very complicated to me
@@scalt8367 hi.
Is there anything in particular you don't find easy or is the whole project daunting ?
Try breaking the project in small manageable ideas .....
Such as ....
How to display text
How to draw basic shapes
How to animate basic shapes
How to read onboard buttons
How to connect & blink led
How to connect & read potentiometer
How to physically connect everything
Once you've got a reasonable understanding of each step then the whole project becomes simpler to grasp overall.
Any questions please ask !
Not useful, but still cool!!
This is great. It's a bit difficult to come up with useful projects when you have such a nice development module. I've been thinking of making a timer with programmable presets for the various times I use a kitchen timer.
I promise kitchten timer will be soon, thank you.
@@VolosProjects I'm sure you would come up with a better design than me.
If you replace the encoder with a larger disc- maybe a hard drive motor wired as an encoder - you could make a mini trundle wheel.

hi Nick, yes i watched that video long time ago, i always wanted to try this, maybe it is time .
for display and graphics we rather use a shitty cellphone
Great
Wow
